  1. I'll be heading over to Record Archive here in Rochester soon. I'm hoping to land the Pink, Black, and White splatter re-issue of Velvet Underground's 'Loaded', the Zombies 'Odessey and Oracle', and perhaps the 30th Anniversary Glow-in-the-Dark Ray Parker Jr. 'Ghostbusters' picture disc
  2. So you feel that unless they draft both an offensive tackle AND an offensive guard within our first 3 picks everyone should be fired? I agree we need to draft a tackle by Round 3 at the latest. But two of our first three picks on lineman? No way! Like him or not - we signed Chris Williams to a decent sized contract to be our starting LG. Urbik's fine at RG (especially if we draft a stud RT) and Marrone's high on the youngsters they started to develop last year (Asper, McClain, and Unga). If a gem of a Guard falls in the later rounds - by all means. But we have too many other more important spots to fill to be insinuating everyone should be fired if we don't spend two of our first three picks on the O-Line.
  3. Nope. No one anywhere has ever made that connection >_>
  4. Robinson and Matthews - i'm willing to agree with. Lewan is overrated and another off the field incident waiting to happen. I'd rather have Eric Ebron, Anthony Barr, or C.J. Mosley at 9 than him.
  5. I REALLY don't want Taylor Lewan! And i'm really worried he's the pick. Robinson's a freak and Matthews is a stud with pedigree. If we have a shot at one of them, by all means. But Lewan's a hothead with a fresh misdemanor and if we're already taking the third best OT; i'd rather pick at another position and address Right Tackle in Round 2 or 3.
  6. I'll do you one better - CJ AND Fred are both in contract years. After this season, they don't have a starting caliber RB under contract. I expected them to take one in the draft to protect themselves in case CJ leaves and/or Fred starts to break down. So it's not all that surprising.
  7. If Stevie Johnson and Eric Decker are worth 7-8, Desean Jackson ABSOLUTELY is worth 9-10.
  8. I put the odds between extremely slim and none that a.) Philly would send him to us b.) Desean Jackson would be cool with it and c.) not only would he be cool with it - he'd renegotiate his HUGE deal.
  9. ILB Chris Borland - Wisconsin OT Antonio Richardson - Tennessee
  10. I'm kind of surprised that all we've heard about regarding Byrd is 'St. Louis called'. With how much Parker seems to like getting Byrd's name out there and how often "reports" were leaked when it came to his client - I assume if his phone were ringing off the hook, we'd know. Instead, Alterraun Verner and Michael Bennett appear to be dominating the rumored interest mill. Wishful thinking perhaps, but does anyone else think maybe Byrd has been overvalued by our region and the media?
  11. I'm sure it's just a matter of him wearing the pro colors of his predecessor at FSU. But still - for those fans unsure of EJ's long term prospects - pretty cool to see. https://www.twitter.com/MalachiDupre/status/426894385616535553/photo/1?screen_name=MalachiDupre
  12. I actually like that quite a bit. I feel like that would re-energize the vets that would be upset over losing Pettine.
  13. I'd have thought that landing the DC of a Super Bowl, media labeled "best defense" would have been an easier sell to their fanbase. I'm still hoping they want and get a 2nd interview with Dan Quinn and/or they hold off until Dirk Koetter interviews.
  14. Only guy i'm still waiting on is Arizona RB Ka'Deem Carey. For some reason he seems to have decided to take his decision down to the deadline. I think it's a no-brainer.
  15. Yeah..... not gonna happen. He (reportedly) received a 1st round grade from the advisory committee and is coming off catching the game winning TD in the National Championship game. And imagine the drooling that's going to happen over his size/speed/vertical/hands combo come Combine and personal workout time. I don't care what "experts" were saying a month ago or so. The kid's going to climb and if you were going to ask me right now who I think we'll end up picking at 9 - my money's on this kid.
  16. I'm mostly awaiting decisions from Ka'deem Carey (RB Arizona), Kelvin Benjamin (WR Florida State), and Greg Robinson (OT Auburn). And the confirmation on Johnny Manziel.
  17. I just threw up a little bit.
  18. Man - that was really a touching video. I tried hard to not get choked up. I failed. And they pitched a shutout to boot. Tell John to go to more Bills games for us!
  19. As said, just because we sign him doesn't mean he's going to beat out the other Punter we will inevitably bring in. And for the record - they aren't exactly growing on trees. The Bengals just signed Shawn Powell heading into the playoffs. Yikes. I'd take Brian Moorman's diminishing skillset over half of what's available.
  20. @JasonLaCanfora: I'm told Marcel Dareus being benched for part of the game, again, due to chronic lateness, including Mon, even w/late 11:30am reporting time
  21. And how do you know that's what happened? You're just assuming. There are other ways of punishing the guy is what o'm saying. We've given up over 170 yards rushing in the FIRST HALF! Sitting arguably our best run defender more than assisted that.
  22. I'm not questioning whether or not he should be punished. I'm questioning who's really being punished taking this route of punishment.
  23. I again question the Dareus discipline. Fine the kid. Sit him for a quarter. But a half against the Pats on the last game of the year when we need run D to stand a chance? This isn't high school football. You're punishing the entire team of grown men.
