  1. Speculation is they don't want to move much lower than 5 and that we'll have to trade up again if we want to get to 2. So, yeah, under no scenario are they dropping to 23.
  2. Both of NE's 1st's and 2nd's (2,106 pts) aren't enough for the 2nd pick (2,600 pts). /thread
  3. If you come here and post something from "my source" - you should be put on automatic Probation. Only way off Probation is for everything you said to come true. If it's total BS - you're banned.
  4. I understand everyone has their favorites. And everyone has an opinion regarding Allen. He's not my #1 or #2 QB either. But you guys do know that posting a topic about it isn't going to change McBeane's opinion, right? If they want to Draft him, no amount of bitching about it is going to stop them. Look at the positives of his game. They're definitely there. I know of a lot of Eagles fans weren't thrilled with Carson Wentz at first either.
  5. Honestly, I didn't look beyond the Top 5 as it scrolled across my screen (I don't have insider either). But others have posted his picks for us since.
  6. http://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2018/insider/story/_/id/22917443/nfl-mock-draft-2018-30-mel-kiper-first-round-pick-rankings-draft-order-32-picks (You need Insider to read it) 1.) Cleveland Browns - QB Josh Allen 2.) New York Giants - QB Sam Darnold 3.) New York Jets - QB Josh Rosen 4.) Cleveland Browns - RB Saquon Barkley 5.) Denver Broncos - QB Baker Mayfield This is a likely scenario that terrifies me. I don't want to know what this board's going to look like if it goes down this way. I'm thankful Kiper put it out there, though. Pretty much guarantees it'll go differently.
  7. I was going with that taboo 'compensatory' word that gets everybody all worked up.
  8. We signed some guys. But i'm pretty sure we're going to lose more than we signed when it's all said and done. You know where i'm going with this...
  9. Josh Allen haters will need to keep an open mind. The way I see it - we'll at worst get best available between Darnold, Rosen, Allen, and Mayfield at 4, 5 (depending on the Broncos being cool with Keenum, Lynch, and Kelly), or 6. All better prospects than Watson, Trubisky, and Mahomes were last season. So, no, the entire Draft doesn't hinge on the Giants selection. Although i'd preferably be at 2 for either Darnold or Rosen - it won't be a Losman settlement if we end up with Josh Allen or Baker Mayfield. Especially if we maintain a number of picks this year for not being able to get as high as 2.
  10. I don't know Zay. But by all accounts, he's been a choir boy. I may be giving him too much credit - but I wonder if he had a bad reaction to painkillers from his surgery. Maybe he had a couple drinks with his brother while on the medication without thinking about it. I hope he is well. He's a much better player than we saw the first half or so of last season.
  11. We've got AJ McCarron and Nate Peterman as our QBs right now. No WR of any value is signing here with that throwing to them.
  12. If Allen is the unquestioned 2nd QB in this draft... then i'll be happy to trade to 4 for Josh Rosen.
  13. This is really bad. What was he using? I don't know how you come back from a video like that being released.
  14. Then you would know it's not a "king's ransom". It's going rate for that type of move. Check the charts. It's one thing to not want to do something. It's another to say that it's not fair market value.
  15. If you think that's a kings ransom to move up and grab a possible Franchise QB in a good QB year - than you just haven't been paying close enough attention.
  16. I think the compensation is close. But we'll need to throw in a 2 next year. And I think it's going to have to be two separate trades. 12, 53, 65 to Indy for #6. Then 6, 22, and a 2nd in '19 to NYG for #2.
  17. For a little while there after the Cordy trade up - this place was palatable. Now i'm feeling like I should stay away until Draft Day. I can't stand the 'don't trade up' crowd. And they've gotten really high and mighty since the Jets trade up.
  18. And now a source needed Rodak to put it out there, as well. Methinks doth protest too much.
  19. Rudolph is the Losman of the 2004 Draft
  20. Would you have thought it were crazy if we were able to sell the farm and move up and get Eli, Rivers, or Big Ben instead of settling for Losman?
  21. I agree 100% So much of our WR's lack of production stemmed from a crazy hesitant QB in Tyrod Taylor. KB is our WR1. Period. And don't forget we have very good pass catchers in Shady and Clay. Regardless of how anyone feels about Zay after last season - they traded up in Round 2 to get him. No team gives up on an investment like that after one bad (injured) rookie season. Andre Holmes is as good as you're going to get at WR4. And anyone beyond that would be a Brandon Reilly type. Just need one speed WR. DJ Chark would be great. But I don't know how to make a trade up for a QB and him happen.
  22. Talk about settling for Losman all over again....
