Have you never come across a ND alumnus? Some are slightly on the arrogant, self-important side... Incoming!...duck!

CIN picked him up it the latter part of last season, because Peko went down. He was on their squad a few years ago, and bolted to CLE, leaving a trail of obscenities and in-house antics behind him. IIRC, he was involved in a tussle in the CLE clubhouse. If he didn't have NFL jingle in his pocket, he'd probably be on some town's rap sheet and/or in some newspaper's obit page. ..

Bills Tender Keith Freaking Ellison
stuckincincy replied to Rzon604's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Same here. Sad that he's not a big specimen, he doesn't make starter status, but he plays with heart. If you can find a roster spot for that kind of player...do it. -
Denney, Reed, Owens are done in Buffalo

I won't be surprised if CIN expresses interest in Reed. They bought Coles last year, to replace Houshmanzedeh. He had early dropsies, and ended up with 43 receptions - had a respectable 5 tds. Palmer didn't distinguish himself, and CIN definitely worked the run game, finishing 9th. Coles did a terrific job in pass - and especially, run blocking. My guess is that he gets shown the gate for money reasons. -

Brandon Johnson - CIN. Although I think they put a 2nd round tender on him, like last year. Since Zimmer came on board, and with their drafting high on D for a while, they went from No. 27 to No. 12 in the rankings in his first season in Cincinnati in 2008 and then going from No. 12 to No. 4 last year. That's what got them into the post season. Palmer tanked early on, so they worked the run game with Benson, Leonard, rookie Scott like crazy. Which of course helped their D. The Bills should keep an eye peeled to Rashad Jeanty - injury concerns with his late season busted leg, and a history of leg problems, though. They gave him that 2nd round tender last year, but probably not this year. -

Is Jared Gaither worth the 9th pick?

IIIRC, it was. The rookie Oher struggled at LT, and soon got scooted to RT. -

Ozzie and his pals better not rely a lot on a repeat of the exemplary performance by Rice last season. Flacco's sophomore season was rocky...the opposition watched the films. Same as Rice's this past season. More than half of his completions went to this or that rb, and to TE Heap. Kudos to Willis for repeatedly pounding it across the goal line. I watched several BAL games. The 1st one against CIN, Oher was filling in at LT, but he was moved over to RT after a while, and was given a lot of help. Too much, IMO. I watched another tv game when he started at RT. A rare thing happened - a view of the line, that showed him re-adjusting his foot angle before the snap, a dead giveaway as to where the play was going. I hope their line coaching saw what I saw. Lewis still is a player, but his late or after the whistle cheap whacks have cost them dearly - lost games - the past few seasons. And how long will Reed be around? I think they need to reload on defense. 2 cent opinion. BTW, as I mentioned is some other post - CIN is sniffing around, re Tebow. Also - Marvin's contract is up, with his 56-57-1 record. There's been chat about Zimmer. 2 more cents... -
The 10 Best Twist Endings in Movies
stuckincincy replied to erynthered's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Indeed - here's an excerpt from a Wiki reference - I won't post the link, so as not to give away the ending. ...."The Spy Who Came in from the Cold (1963), by John le Carré, is a British Cold War spy novel that became famous of its portrayal of Western espionage methods as morally inconsistent with Western democracy and values. The novel met with critical acclaim at the time of its publication, and became an international best-seller. The novel is often regarded as one of the greatest spy-novels of all time, and has frequently appeared in lists of the greatest novels of all time: in 2005, it was selected as one of the All-Time 100 Novels by TIME Magazine.[1] In 2006, Publishers Weekly named it the “best spy novel of all-time”.[2][3] In 1965, Martin Ritt directed the cinematic adaptation (of) The Spy Who Came in From the Cold, with Richard Burton as Alec Leamas, the burnt-out protagonist"... Burton was among the first rank of actors, along with the likes of Laughton, the extended Olivier family and so forth. So many fine actors and actresses through the years, so many fine flicks. Thousands of them. I can't see how anyone can plausibly make up these so-called "top"movie lists... -
Crosby's game-winning stick missing

The Canadian government confiscated it to shore up their tinker toy military. It will be integral part of the defense of the Province of BC, and Ottawa will be thereby be relieved of the expense of stationing of one of their decrepit F/A -18s there. -

GM to Recall 1.3 Million vehicles
stuckincincy replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in Off the Wall Archives
No. Time was, no adult would be so foolish back then to take any lip or opinion from any kid, long before they put them in a vehicle, so the kids universally kept their snot mouths shut up and so didn't need to be duct taped. BF, back then, children were actively shielded from the adult world and its' evils. No longer - now we have Columbines... I hang my head in sorrow about what kids have to deal with today...it's so, so wrong, so, so sad. -
GM to Recall 1.3 Million vehicles
stuckincincy replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I did. I still own a '98 Chev S-10 2wd 4-cyl chepo. Bought new..I drive it daily. It did have a recall, to replace the wiring harness. There are two types of car owners - those that maintain them like the complex things that they are, and those that wipe their feet off on the rocker boxes. Heard about the most recent Toyota oil problem? nothing like the millions hurt by their cylinder head slude problem, though. They denied it for years, and accused owners over their fundamental design flaw. I could relate tons to you about GM and their innovations over decades and decades. Your citing FORD is not a justification. I could tell you a lot, but I can't be bothered.
