  1. Well put. In addition to these compounds being heavily prescribed off-label, the folks that really need them often don't take them because of the possible side effects. I'm sure you have argued with same to no result. So sad...
  2. Maxwell's Silver Hammer, PG/FFS? Go in peace my friend!
  3. Thanks for the interesting report! I'll add some comments about the TE position from B'gal beat reporter Geoff Hobson: ..."Q: Being a Bengals fan in Chicago, I hear a lot of talk about the Bears possibly trading TE Greg Olsen. What are the chances of trading a second-round pick for Olsen and benefiting from his receiving ability? At the very least, Olsen can learn some blocking techniques from Reggie Kelly and demand some attention from opposing pass coverages. --Patrick, Chicago, IL PATRICK: Good idea. But did you catch what Lewis said at the scouting combine last month? He went on for a pretty lengthy riff about how you need your tight ends to block in the AFC North and how some of these receiving type tight ends that recently came into the division (read Kellen Winslow Jr.) didn’t work out. I’m not comparing Olsen to Winslow but the fact that the first thing new Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz did in free agency is sign a massive blocking tight end in Brandon Manumaleuna gives you some idea of the kind of blocker that Olsen isn’t. Look, the Bengals’ tight end situation is a mess. The first priority, in my mind, should be re-signing Reggie Kelly. 1-A should be re-signing J.P. Foschi because you don’t know about Kelly’s Achilles. We know Kelly can block and Foschi can, too. The second priority should be figuring out what to draft, but don’t draft a Chase Coffman clone coming out of a spread offense that can only catch. I’d hate to spend a second-round pick on Olsen and then find out that he can’t get in Terrell Suggs’ way. Unless, of course, you get rid of Coffman and you decide Olsen is your receiving tight end because you know what you got in the veteran. But what are you giving up in Coffman? Whatever, you just have to make up your mind. And we talked about this with offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski before the scouting combine. Nowadays, you’ve got to find a tight end that can catch and another one that can block. The college spread has killed the tight end that can do both. If you find yourself saying, “They can teach him to block,” you’re in trouble. Just make him the receiving tight end."... http://www.bengals.com/news/hobson-online/...93-0e047449a817
  4. Why would you beat your face in?
  5. FWIW, the Pats* brought in UCinn's qb Pike, wr Gilyard, and lb Alex Daniels for try-outs recently.
  6. IND might have their eye on UCLA's Brian Price.
  7. Preparing parmesan chicken, a can of drained and rinsed wax beans, a fruit compote, and bread-machine bread. Nothing green. I went to the bars on St. Pat's all my life. But the self-serving idiots here in OH voted to ban smoking, and I haven't set foot in one since.
  8. Eh - get diagnosed with cancer in England, and expect their government-run mandatory health care boards to tell you you will wait 6 months or more before any treatment. Stay tuned...if you actually live.
  9. Goodbye and good luck...
  10. What moved the ESPN snip reporter to add that?
  11. A thought...have you tried disk cleanup, defrag, then booting in Safe Mode and invoking CC and the various av & spyware things?
  12. AFAIK, that's one of the problems in using a 3-4...the pool of NTs in the college ranks is smaller than DTs playing in a 4-3.
  13. Hmm...CIN had him in for an interview - and they have a rep for signing characters if the owner thinks there's a bargain to be had. EDIT: And they are in the market for a guard...Bobbie Williams gave them several years' good service, but it was plain this past season that his skills were waning. He might re-sign at a reduced rate as a back-up. Great guy, BTW...very erudite. I wouldn't be surprised if they are mulling over FLA's Maurkice Pouncey.
  14. Stats...numbers... A fellow is at a party. He walks up to a teacher and asks: "What is 2 plus 2?" She replies. "Young man, 2+2 is 4." He then askes a mathematician, who replies "In Base 10, 2+2=4." The fellow then asks a lawyer. He looks furtively to the left, then to the right. And then whispers into his ear: "What would you like it to be?"
  15. Heh - when I click on a link to a previous site post, my login gets broken. This has happened forever - I am resigned to it. So you can't edit without a re-post? Yikes! I'd be hunted down and shot on sight if I couldn't go back and change some of the words I post...
  16. What's the nature of the glitch? I may have the same problem and not noticed or paid attention. My posts seem to be the same as before. I had some sort of problem a few weeks ago (preceding FF 3.6) - I can't remember exactly what it was...I think it was those little icons that showed whether a post had a recent reply or some such. I switched from the Bills skin to the IBO native skin, and all is ok.
  17. Its' been fine with me, so far.
