  1. I admire their dogged moxie for slogging through.
  2. You used the word "brat". Some here might be taking you to task for that...

  5. Jerry Hughes, tweener DE/LB, TCU.
  6. Thanks for the link!
  7. I had an "elegant" Migent 300bps portable modem early on. Good gosh, I bet I've owned ten modems, ext and int through the years. Most recently, a little UBS device from a company called Rosewill that I bought cheap through Newegg. It's for my wife's Asus eee netbook (her Mom and my SIL don't have computers so no cable internet) so she can connect when she travels to each. It's not bad... I bought a TI99A as my first computer - same thing - cassette storage!
  8. Well..perhaps... "The sun'll come out tomorrow, Tomorrow, Bet your bottom dollar There'll be sun!"
  9. There was a company (named PTG, I think) that had a bowling game! There was a golf game out there, too. APBA football was on a 360Kb disk, for a season. AFAIK, that was the only one - folks were ripping it off big time. I've got a season of APBA baseball somewhere, on a 720Kb floppy. I used to play some of the Avalon Hill war games - not too often, though. And good for Dad!
  10. I had an automatic update an hour or so ago. You might want to get it - dunno if it addresses your problems, though.
  11. Why do people get so upset at a good joke, these days?
  12. After-school detention for you, Tenny...
  13. APBA Pro Football is tops. I also used to play one called BLM - Big League Manager. I can't recall - there was an outfit in the late '70's and in the '80's that had a fine NBA game. APBA Baseball is played nationwide.. I was always aware of Strat-o-Matic, but never played it. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/baseball/fa...ion-games_N.htm
  14. Rough schedule...the switch to a 3-4.. . 4? 5? They might get lucky and remain relatively healthy, and catch some clubs with critical injuries.
  15. APBA Pro Football... http://www.apbagames.com/stadium/games/boa...o_football.html Caution: Requires a live friend...
  16. This player intrigues me, in the late 3rd/early 4th round... http://www.nfl.com/draft/2010/profiles/jer...bs:tab-overview
  17. Just tryin' to direct players that I've watched and had a decent opinion of, to BUF. I'm just another of the huge numbers of unpaid scouts we have here.
  18. Nicely put! I'll add a vet: http://www.nfl.com/players/dededorsey/profile?id=DOR528860
  19. Seems that if a player is cut before league's financial year starts, he doesn't count in the figuring.. ..."The extra picks are figured out via a formula crunching the numbers of unrestricted free agents lost and signed, and the Bengals were expecting the result. One of the reasons they went after wide receiver Laveranues Coles last year is because he didn't count as an unrestricted free agent because he had been cut before the financial year began. The Bengals lost two UFAs to big deals in wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh and right tackle Stacy Andrews, and another one, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, started eight games." http://www.bengals.com/news/article-1/Upda...6d-c4599445b6e8
  20. They seem out of that depth when it comes to aiding run stoppage.
  21. After suffering through 20 minutes of those two friggin' Hobbits seesawing between moaning and philosophy, I found myself rooting for Gollem to pitch 'em both face first into the hot drink.
  22. Or have tenure...
  23. Will the walnuts ever return, Ray? Maybe for the start of the season? That would be nice.
  24. Gringo - be done with this, and get that World Cup '10 drumbeat going...
