  1. Why do you think it is, that folks here who have faith almost never post about their personal religious beliefs, but those that don't, feel some need to post unsolicited comments and go out of their way to attack, insult, descry, and so on? Can't you just be pleasantly quiet and keep your own personal beliefs to yourself?
  2. Plenty of on-line sources , as mentioned. Do spend $10 or so at a Home Depot or a Lowes to get a stud finder, so you can mount the bracket securely.
  3. Words of wisdom...
  4. ICE, my long-time friend - calm down and save it for draft day when we all will be clawing at the ceiling.
  5. Good post - I can quibble with it, but I appreciate the thought and work you put into it.
  6. Hard to see that. SD recently inked him to a new deal. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/1315052...w;pageContainer
  7. Probably on Facebook....
  8. If Lynch gets moved...that puts BUF into being a player in the rb market. I happen to like Fresno St.'s Mathews -it will be controversial if BUF picks a rb in the 2nd. I do like USC's Joe McKnight after rnd 3.
  9. I suspect so. BUF is going to have their share of bumps along the road, like any club that switches from a 4-3 to a 3-4. A seasoned vet is probably a good idea. See "old" Dhani Jones...not a 3-4 system at CIN, but a great acquisition. The chatter says Maualuga gets positioned at MLB in '10. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they selected Miz's S. Witherspoon.
  10. Off topic...did you ever get your Camry tires replaced?
  11. Well, in '09...76 total tackles, 49 solo, 4.5 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, 4 passes defended in 16 games with 14 starts.
  12. WMG certainly crossed the goal line for BAL last season - 12 rush, 2 pass touchdowns. But I've no idea of his $$$ status - he's been there 3 years and '10 would be his 4th.

  14. Also Fresno St. If BUF finds themselves in the rb draft market, FS's Ryan Mathews gets a vote from me.
  15. It's hard to work up excitement about a hold-out DE picked at #11, who played in 16 games, started none, and amassed 18 total tackles - and 7 of those were assists. Zero passes defended. Zero sacks, despite his billing as being cat-quick off the snap...if he zipped in to get two or three - we could be optimistic. All this on a team that had its' D put in a lot of time on the field. And injuries. They saw him in practice week after week, and my guess is that they detected a certain odor about him that told them not to give him a lot of playing time. If he pans out this season - great. Right now, he's Erik Flowers, Mk. II. And he tweets...
  16. Go pick on your own Communist politicians, please.
  17. I distinctly recall, 15+ years ago, them being mentioned as one of the best managed, astute franchises. The truism being that good management....counts. Knox - I loved the way he utilized Cribbs. Levy's prep of his team running up to the SB games still irks me. I'm dumbfounded that he has HOF credentials.
  18. Yep - we all wonder how he would have turned out, with a stable qb situation, a better FO and coaching staff. Water over the dam, now. The bits I've heard over the years say he's a decent person. Personally, I think they should keep him. Last thing that the team needs is another hole to fill, and the more I recall, the more I think it would be a fair $$$ hit to move him on. Dunno.
  19. I don't think anyone would fork over a 1st for a 29 year-old WR, a good player for sure, but his name isn't bandied about much outside of Buffalo. "Stat-wise", he doesn't shine that much, and I realize the qbs and coaches he's had. I don't know exactly what his contract status and $$$ is, but IIRC, it's up there.
  20. A problem with internet news is that it can - and is (routinely) tampered with, changed. Worrisome - to me. I see this all the time with the Cincinnati Enquirers' site, as well with the local tv channels. Once a book is out and published that's it. Once a newspaper edition goes to print - that's it - the bell can't be "un-rung." And folks can pass them about, and read them without needing electricity. But regarding sports pundits - they are what they are. I live in Cincinnati, and read and listen to the "national" bunch mention the B'gal's "high-powered" offense. Not for a while. Their constant cry of "they need a TE" - for years. Their offensive scheme just does not use one to any degree. They like a blocker, to protect St. Palmer's high-cost fanny. An article about CIN team needs on the CBS Nfl site proclaimed that the TE spot is their most pressing need - and proceeded to state that last year's rookie - Chase Coffman - is a solid backup. He never spent a day on the active roster because of his bum foot and because he evidently couldn't block a determined marshmallow. They tossed him onto IR during the season IIRC. The local beat writers may be a day or two out of date (rarely, IMO). But they have a feel for the club, a closer hand on the pulse. Wawrow, Graham, Pitoniak, Brown, the BEN writers, et al give a better go of it than the national crowd. Here in Cincy, the beat writers Reedy and Hobson, the previous Mark Curnutte, and the commentator Daugherty deliver the goods. In print.
  21. Looks like he will have to catch on as a UDFA . Other than Haddad's few games, and LB Gerry Philbin and QB Stofa, I can't recall another UB player that was on an NFL roster for any length of time.
  22. Gilyard is pretty spiffy after a catch, and is a fine kick returner. A heck of a decent young man, also. Rah-rah video (Rude, obnoxious rap soundtrack - NSFW): Nice personal interest videos:
