  1. I could conceive of PHI moving up for a CB. The rest...?
  2. Wow! Looks like $11 beers and $7 hot dogs next season in MIA.
  3. Well...I wonder how they would rate, if they were positioned like most clubs do...CB's back, Safties up? BUF plays against the big gain, and the rest of the league returned the favor by running them silly - popping their gnat linebackers into orbit, controlling the clock, and finally stepping over the BUF defender's exhausted bodies in the 4th. The other teams had a big say on the Bills fortunes. 2 cents...
  4. And also gave the fans some excitement along the way, as in they actually thought there was a playoff shot. AFAIK, he got into the play-offs twice since 1999.
  5. I think they call the 2wd 4-door model "Ultimate" or some such. I guess they might stick on the Rubicon decals - but you are right about the Rubicon's set-up. They all have traction control and ESP. I suppose you can get a 2wd with a locker differential, too. And RWD with a set of tire chains does a good job getting around in snow, on pavement. Back-in-da-day, when everything except Saabs were RWD, many folks in Bflo. slapped on the chains - and they got around just fine. I still have several pairs of "cheater" chains - the 2 length jobs that one affixes with a canvas strap and a buckle through the rim. They get you out of a tough spot on pavement. Then you release the clasp, and you're on the way. They still sell 'em: http://www.tirechain.com/STRAPONTIRECHAINS.htm
  6. I thought so, too. I was surprised they kept playing him as long as they did, with his injury (shoulder IIRC). BTW, how's life with UPS going these days?
  7. Yes - a 1980 CJ-5. 4cyl (it was the GM "Iron Duke" 151 c.i.) and 4 speed. For a while, there was a CJ-6, a 5 with a stretched wheelbase. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_CJ
  8. Bleak House...Dickens...Jarndyce vs. Jarndyce... I hope you didn't miss that outstanding PBS presentation a couple of years ago - if so, look for it.
  9. Geeze - if he has a chance to hook up with a MLB club, he'd be nuts not to...the longevity dwarfs the NFL and the $$$ is astounding.
  10. I don't think so (Lynch). And I'd be astounded if Ralph would like to pay top 5 $$$ (can't blame him there). Oh well - nice to dream...
  11. Again, you might have a wait. I suspect that 2wd 4-door Wrangler owners are as rare as folks that hunt squirrels with .32,.36 black powder rifles - and most of us that do or have done so are living in deep Appalachia. Not an on-line crowd...
  12. Well, dib - you will probably look for a long time for personal experiences. 2wd Wranglers are a rare bird....
  13. IIRC, you can use poisons on voles. But moles eat bugs. For moles, I've used the castor oil sprays with some success: http://www.fertilome.com/ProductFiles/Molego%2010317.pdf After applications over a few years, I had success. And funny as it seems, I followed some advice and stuck $1 pinwheels around the property - when they spin, they set up a subtle vibration that they say bothers the moles. I also tried the smoke bombs - not effective, but fun to use. Anyway, I eradicated them in the main...they prefer my neighbors now. The definitive cure is to trap 'em and bash 'em. 14. Handy car review site: http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com...ces-reviews.htm FWIW, the dealer ads in SW Ohio generally show deep discounts for several Jeep models - Grand Cherokee, Commander especially deep. As AD mentioned - if you are going to keep it for the long haul, I see nothing wrong with 2wd in your locale. Sorry - I've no experience with the Wrangler.
  15. Unfortunately, they get low marks for visibility. I look at them on the road, with those very wide c-pillars, and the outside spare blocking off the rear window... They're not alone - the Chev HHR, Dodge Caliber, bunches of others. Including sedans.
  16. As a general rule, I don't care to draft PSU (and OSU) players. Both teams are in States that are hotbeds of high school ball, both have extensive recruitment and get the cream of that local crop and also have huge roster numbers. They have their up and down years, but year in and year out, feature pretty strong lines and linebacking. The kid that signs that letter of intent is assured of having a decent supporting cast. Maybin was in a strong program.
  17. Yes - he deserves a shot. Thanks to geography, I watched numbers of his college games. Pretty good QB. He may be that diamond in the rough, maybe not.
