  1. The rule changes after the strike - or was it a lockout? - irked me. So I gave up watching or caring about NHL hockey.
  2. I also defend it. http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/20...med-to-abc.html
  3. That sounds good! I'd have to delete the garlic and the onion from the carne machada, adding just a bit of onion powder - I have a sensitivity to those ingredients, unfortunately.

  5. We need to sign Abbe Normal !!! What hump?
  6. What is a "BAHA"? When I search, I get "bahamas", Baha'i" etc.
  7. I think it's a good signing for them, if he is a blocker. I've no idea... Coles didn't work out in the pass game. He remarked about QB Palmer after he got cut...about Palmer wanting tall receivers. Coles was right - Palmer can't get the ball down (kinda like McNabb) and rifle it in anymore. And he defines the term "timing quarterback." With his huge contract they gave him, they are stuck with him for the next several years. We will see if they miss Coles - he was absoultely terrific re run/pass blocking. The signing does affect the 1st round, though. CIN is likely out of any derby for receivers there, not that WRs seem to be a big part of the 1st action. They are in the market for a guard...Bobbie Williams has faltered with his age, and Bryant's $$$ cuts down their money pool. They are in good shape with LBs, so I doubt they will interfere with BUF's picks there through the 2nd and beyond. I wouldn't be surprised to see them go for a DE at the 21 spot. Geathers hasn't been able to repeat his big year, and Antwan Odom's recovery from a torn Achillles remains questionable - he's had leg problems before. They need safety help - they are idiots if they go after Mays, IMO. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if Whitner somehow ended up with them, though. I think they will get a 3rd rnd comp pick - they lost Fitz and Housh, and Coles was bought outside of FA, IIRC. They might tap Tebow in the 3rd, if they have an extra pick. Their #2 is JT O'Sullivan (?) and Palmer's younger brother, Jordan...who can make all the throws, but has no idea about pocket presence.
  8. I lived in the vicinity for near 11 years. That was 20 years ago, though. I would describe it as an area featuring a special combination of geography, amity, and bonhomie that characterizes the...Balkans!
  9. AKAIK, poon is an older term for a piece of tail...
  10. Oy Yoi!!!!
  11. Does anybody remember a bar named Eddie G's? Fillmore or Bailey? Close to William St. Great, great cheeseburgers. I don't know if it was the roll or the cheese that did it.
  12. Requiescat in pace.
  13. Me too...looks like I overestimated his value to the BAL club.
  14. Yep - a good college QB. With OSU...a perennial powerhouse (recent bowl games notwithstanding) with overall talent on both sides of the ball, year after year. They are a desired destination for high schoolers, and have the advantage of drawing from a State that's one of the high school football hotbeds. His pro stats are minimal. But he's been on their team for 3 years and knows their system. My guess is that if somebody came up with a really generous offer, they'd trade him. Otherwise - keep him.
  15. Indeed it is. But nobody - ever, at what ever level - made him go into the business of pro football. Show business. He made his choices, garnered a tidy pile. It's not up to you or me to question his career path. I don't care about owners. If he thought that even with millions in his personal pocket, he was getting ripped off, he could find another trade to ply or not gotten into the biz in the first place. What he did was lift his leg and sh*t upon the venue where he worked, the fans that ultimately paid him. And jerks they may well be, but they peel off the cash and watch the tv and buy products from those ads. That tv money flows to the NFL and the owners and the players because the ads sell products. Nice for him that he could afford to be so childish and unappreciative - few of us can...or even would do so, as a matter of principle. I've certainly had disagreements with employers, and perhaps the type of business that employed me - but I never left uttering chip-on-my-shoulder comments. Not that I was in the public eye; he is and so If I had a club, or were a pro player, I would shun him. I could never trust him, fearing when he would turn again. Loyalty counts. Like you mention or imply, football is a violent sport. I'm certain that somewhere along his career, he himself cut a player in the calves, poked a finger, hit anothers' vulnerable knee, and so on. 2 cents.
  16. Well, that explains your gut and disposition. AFAIK, keep away from iron-containing foods...and drink more tea.
  17. I do. He's made very big bucks in a venue, one that he well knows how it goes. Getting booed hurts, but you rise above it. It's just words...jerks in the stands defines the NFL. He's exposed himself as a petulant man...a crybaby in a tough - and very well-paying -sport. So now he opens his trap when he is axed. Why not before? Because he coveted the $$$ and didn't want to get rolled down the staircase and shown the exit gate while the checks rolled in. This phony would never be on my team, regardless of any skills he has.
  18. You are well skilled in the 3 "R's"...reject, ridicule, repeat. Always attempt to belittle anything in opposition. This happened. Do you see nothing unctuous about Coke's obsequiousness ? Nothing of a double standard? No initial squak by blacks that made them go hide into corporate-ese? No - you don't.

  20. Cash. I 'd like to end up in the Caymans...
