  1. 3 days of music showcases. https://www.ticketsignup.io/TicketEvent/NONCOMM2024/Page/MeetingSchedule https://xpn.org/non-comm-virtual/
  2. Twitter wouldn't let me embed this so I took a screen grab. Interesting he said he's "coming home" when home is NYC. 🤔 Whatever. He's a Bull now.
  3. Mahomes was trying a new passing drill, throwing balls into F1 cars as they go by.
  4. 5 FGs today including a 60 yarder, 49 yarder and a game-winning 42 yarder with no time left. The legend of Jake bates grows.
  5. From my days of dropping quarters into machines at Hungry Charlies on Marshall St. 1) Space Invaders (the one that started it all.) 2) Pac Man 3) Asteroids 4) Missile Command
  6. Not the NHL playoffs but notable. The Rochester Americans, the Sabres AHL club, down 3-0 in the 3rd period of an elimination game, scored 3 to tie, then won it in overtime to force the deciding game 5 in Rochester Friday.
  7. I finally heard back from my Legends rep. She said the non-club 200's folks will likely get their calls toward the end of 2024, after the lower bowl folks are done. (I assume 300's will be last to get called.) I also asked her about non-club seats with heat, and her answer was a bit vague, but sounded like she was saying only club seats are getting heat.
  8. That's a shame but I don't think many folks were planning a long stay. Totality was a 140 mile drive from my house. I packed food and drink, got to Lyndon, Vermont, saw the eclipse and got in my car and left the second it was over. Smart move too. Authorities were asking people to not leave right away? Lol, those folks got back to Boston at 4am. I was home by 6pm beating the rush.
  9. Sorry. I was at the Bills-Pats -5 playoff game and I'll never do that again, despite the outcome.
  10. A good number lived close enough to change plans when the weather forecast came out. I think they all went to Northern New England where it was sunny. Some people didn't get home for 12 hours.
  11. It was great then but stadium design has advanced since. Why it never occurred to anyone that concourses shouldn't be open to see the game is wild. Seems obvious.
  12. This is Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Capacity 6500 but can hold 9000 with standing room. There's the Sam Adams Club in left field where you can have dinner while watching the game. And there's a Hilton Garden Hotel in center field with its own patio restaurant. https://www.stadiumjourney.com/stadiums/northeast-delta-dental-stadium-s273
  13. I'm sure it'll be nice enough. But with these cost overruns I can see them cutting back on details. Here in lovely Manch-Vegas NH they built a ball park for the AA Blue Jays team the Fishercats in 2005. The original plan was for brick facades like Fenway Park. Very nice. But when costs went up we got corrugated metal siding instead. Still a very nice ball park. I think it's a better design than Sahlen Field, with open concourses that allow you to see the game while at concessions. But corrugated metal siding is not brick.
  14. There will be one more move made after June 1.
  15. The Sabres don't lack talent. In fact Lindy Ruff is inheriting a mostly playoff caliber roster that needs a few tweaks. As for why the Sabres have underachieved for so long, it's mostly bad luck. Sure there were a couple of questionable hires. But mostly you look at the names going in and think they were strong. Dan Bylsma was a cup-winner. But he rubbed Golden Boy Jack the wrong way. Phil Housley had a great rep as a player and amateur coach, plus he was a former Sabre. People love that. Jason Botterill as GM, same thing. Former Sabre. Came from the Pens organization where he won a cup. Ralph Krueger was the talk of the league when he coached the Oilers. They all seemed like good ideas at the time. At least Granato left the team in a better place. They were in shambles after Krueger. Donny got them to within a point of a playoff berth. There's also this notion that Terry is/was cheap. That unfortunate "maintain lifestyle" memo left a bad impression. Most of that came down during COVID. The Sabres were losing money even before the lockdowns. But people forget the massive contacts the Sabres handed out to players like Ville Leino, Jeff Skinner and Christian Ehrhoff. Those deals somehow made the Sabres worse. Leino never even scored a goal for Buffalo in his final year.
  16. The Sabres are his first love. He's not selling. Of course I also said he wouldn't fire Granato. 🤷‍♂️
  17. It could be just him trying to learn as much about the NFL as he can. Terry is living my dream of owning a Buffalo sports franchise. And I would be just as clueless coming in. Nothing wrong with observing. Just don't get in the way.
  18. Huh? The man who avoids press conferences like the plague loves the limelight? 🤔
  19. The average NFL stadium life span is now around 20 years. https://venuesnow.com/the-shrinking-nfl-stadium-lifespan/#:~:text=The standard lifespan of an,Soldier Field%2C completed in 2003.
  20. I swear the Bills will eventually end up the only NFL team that plays outdoors.
