  1. The 2024 value of the Sabres according to Forbes is just north of $1 Billion.
  2. The guy has issues, but he's still the guy who saved the Bills from leaving. The team was ready to skip to Toronto with Bon Jovi and Ted Rogers. It sucks about the Sabres, but we still have the Bills and a new stadium keeping them here because of Terry Pegula.
  3. Did you miss this? https://www.wgrz.com/article/travel/canadian-tourism-down-in-buffalo/71-17a50600-9702-48ff-a65e-42e130778675#:~:text=BUFFALO%2C N.Y.,that we're watching." Yes, the Amerks were founded in 1956. But the Pegulas own them now.
  4. They finished tied for #5 overall in the AHL, and they made the final 8 in the Calder Cup tournament. They made the final 4 two years ago. How is that underperforming?
  5. The loss of Canadian fans makes the Sabres small market even smaller. They are not in a good place right now and for anyone wanting Terry to sell, be ready to say bye-bye to the Sabres. No one is spending a billion just to keep the team in Buffalo.
  6. And the Bills and Amerks are both pretty strong. Only the Sabres lag. In other words, it all sucks. 🙄 You asked for it. https://www.sabrespace.com/community/forum/1-the-aud-club/ The Sabres are where the Bills were during the drought; not bad enough to pick 1st but not good enough to make the playoffs. Last year they were something like #6 in the NHL in scoring but in the bottom five in goals allowed.
  7. True, but the Sabres are still worth a billion+ according to Forbes. The next round of expansion may come with a $2 billion fee. He hit the jackpot with McDermott, didn't he?
  8. The problem with selling the Sabres is finding an new owner that a) wants to spend a billion dollars on the team and b) then keep them in Buffalo. With Canadians not crossing the border, that really hurts Sabres attendance even beyond their underperformance the last decade plus. A sale of the Sabres means 99% likely the team moves.
  9. So... would he take the vet minimum?
  10. How good is Minnesota? UB opens there and I'm wondering if there's any upset potential?
  11. https://ubfan.com/bb/index.php?/topic/12990-2026-commits/ Coach Lembo and his recruiters have been landing some impressive players. Bodes well.
  12. To be determined. They started last season March 30th. Two years ago, when there were 2 competing spring leagues, the XFL started the week after the Super Bowl in February. UFL players have repeatedly said they would prefer an earlier season so they could attend NFL mini-camps if signed. In the article I posted before your question, league CEO Russ Brandon (Yes, that Russ Brandon) said they are considering all options including moving up the start date.

  15. Every time we start to slobber over the next hot QB hype, remember these guys.
  16. 1) Tickets are expensive. Selling some makes them affordable. 2) Some people live far away. Ticket holders ought to have the right to do whatever they want with their tickets. They bought them. The teams got their money. The teams don't give money back when no one wants to go to games. Don't forget teams get a cut on all resales too, so they are making money on top. Putting limits on resales is unamerican.
  17. How about a shoulder tear teeing off? But I still can't get into the NBA. Ironically, I love college basketball because it feels more balanced between offense and defense.
  18. Was this posted yet? I didn't see it. NFL and TV networks appeal court ruling, insist they have the right to gouge people. 🙄 https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/all-nfl-broadcast-partners-except-amazon-file-legal-brief-supporting-nfl-in-sunday-ticket-appeal I live in the Boston TV market. Between primetime games, games at 4:25, and 1pm games not up against the Patriots, I figure I'll see at least 12 Bills games. So paying for ST just isn't worth it for me. Thanks Josh, for making the Bills America's team.
