  1. Yes. Yes I would.
  2. Meriden is halfway to New Haven. Maybe you can get a pie at Pepe's, Modern Apizza or Sally's Apizza?
  3. Listen to 98.5 the Sports Hub (WBZ-FM) anytime and hear similar thoughts. They know training camp was a cluster****.
  4. Some programs can grow fast with a wealthy patron. Oklahoma State, Charlotte, UTSA and Coastal Carolina are examples.
  5. The other conferences spoke by ignoring UB and every other MAC school in the last round of realignment. Heck even Conference USA, who was gutted, asked FCS schools to jump up rather than invite UB. The Northeast is not considered good for college fandom, outside of Syracuse and a few rabid fans for certain small basketball and hockey programs.
  6. I went to the game. The stadium didn't look that full because people were trying to get out of the sun. They were all standing in the concourses. There was a healthy number of blue clad UB fans. The MD fans around me were nice. The school runs a shuttle from the metro stop right to the stadium so I went right from DCA to the game easily. Overall UB was a mixed bag. The defense okay except for those two run plays they were gashed on. I think they were caught in a blitz both times. They got pressure on Taulia T but couldn't get to him. The offense was meh. The O line was outmatched. QB Cole Snyder was unimpressive. Running backs were good considering they weren't getting blocking. Speaking of running, Jaret Patterson from the Commanders was on the sidelines cheering his school. Hone opener vs Holy Cross Saturday. The Crusaders are a strong FCS team so UB better come to play. If they can't beat HC it's going to be a long year. C'mon LB. Suggesting the team get scrapped doesn't add to the conversation. UB has had success. It's just harder to maintain being a mid major.
  7. The US side of the Falls is lame. Do what you can to get to Canada. It's sad how things got because not that long ago crossing the border was no big deal. People used to cross just to get Chinese food.
  8. You know your guys. You watched what they did. It's not like he scored 38 fluke goals. Granato goes back with Tage to when he was a pup. It's a real crime when coaching wastes talent (looking at you, Ralph Krueger.)
  9. Only player out of 51 USFL players in NFL camps. No word yet on Practice Squad additions.
  10. Not forcing a punt against the Bills...twice...once in the playoffs...shows how long a game Belichick is willing to play.
  11. Twitter scouts
  12. A lot of people who didn't watch a minute of Sabres hockey last year filling Twitter with doom takes. This is no gamble. Granato unleashed the beast. Expect Casey Mittelstadt to have a big season if he avoids injury.
  13. What? And blow the PR opportunity to make up for drafting he-who-shall-not-be-named by signing a local pro bowler like everyone said we'd do and are now expecting?
  14. Cutting OJ Howard might impact our decision who we sign. Why can't Tyler Bass learn how to kick field goals by drop kick? Then we won't need a holder.
  15. Comparable players get a bit more.
  16. Bills need to make more room now that they cut Howard. Couple mil.
  17. Gotta make room for OBJ.
  18. Shocking more for the cap hit than moving on from the player.
  19. Theory vs Practice. There's supposed to be a hierarchy where reporters gather facts and present them, while columnists write opinions.
  20. You said you were a reporter. I was one as well for a few years. First for a weekly community paper. Then as a sports stringer for the local daily, mainly covering high schools. Nothing hard hitting. I'm struck at how much you seem to judge how the Bills handled the Matt Araiza situation and have strong opinions on what should have happened. But you ignore factors like what the Bills are contractually allowed to do under the CBA, what was said by whom and misconstrued as facts. @4merper4merraised a good point, that statements from Jane Doe's attorney are being touted as "direct quotes." From the attorney, not from Araiza! I 100% agree that any free nation depends on a free press, but with that comes the responsibility to present the facts accurately and honestly as best you can. Or else you end up with the virtual version of a mob with pitchforks. Reporters report. They aren't supposed to pontificate.
