He's a Toronto-area native. Playing in Buffalo would put him close to family. Are you speaking of the Sabres and Oilers? Both suck. Either way I can't see how this would happen.

There are features being suggested like heated seats and heated field. That will wipe out any cost savings over a dome. In fact you'll be heating the outdoors. There is no stadium blueprint that I'm aware of. So how can they definitively say what it will cost vs a dome?

I am saying it could cost just as much. Depends how it's designed. It wrong to look at this like "a full roof costs X, so half a roof should cost half of X." Half a roof is an entire different set of engineering challenges.

A partial roof has to hold up weight, like snow, too. But that partial only has support on one side, making the engineering that much tougher. Plus you have wind. A closed roof only has wind on the outside. A partial roof could have wind shear above and below.

Technically you aren't. Look at your invoice. The Bills use dynamic pricing. Every game is a different price. Pre-seasons are the cheapest. Say you pay $1,000 for a season ticket. In your mind you think every game is a $100 ticket. But some games might be $200 and the preseason games $50.

To cover 80% of the seats costs as much as a full dome. The engineering is practically the same. Saying a dome costs too much is baloney. If they wanted to save money they'd have no cover at all.

Since we only get 8 home games this year the price we pay might not change from last year. But then they won't increase next year but have 9 home games. $$$$ They did this with the Toronto series when some years we'd only have 7 home games to blunt the perception of price increases. The NFL is an expensive club to belong to. EDIT: I'm wrong. I forgot they add a 2nd preseason game when there's only 8 home games. SO you're paying for 10 either way.
