  1. Those where the sinks. But when in Rome... That at least partially explains how an open air stadium will end up costing as much as a dome. Most stands covered, heated field and concourses, It's basically a dome with a donut hole. I will concede on the downtown dome thing, but I hope the Pegulas look at adding commercial development to the stadium campus. A scaled down Patriot Place. And for heaven's sake, build some hotels!!
  2. Sorry it's a paywall. https://theathletic.com/3153981/2022/02/28/bills-stadium-faq-financing-agreement-for-new-orchard-park-project-likely-to-be-announced-soon/ Basically saying the reason for silence lately is both sides are close to getting it done. Could be announced right before state budget vote. Definitely will be open air, natural grass, in OP. (Congrats @Hammered a Lot)
  3. Just say John Wawrow. The Sabres are run by Kevin Adams and Jason Karmanos. They actually need to learn how to play in their end. How to defend and how to leave the zone without turning the puck over.
  4. Going around the rumor mill
  5. The first step to respectability is getting out of rock bottom. The Sabres can't just buy their way out with free agents. They have to develop their picks. It takes time. Bringing up the last ten years doesn't make things go faster now.
  6. Absolutely WRONG! Buffalo is a hockey town and belongs in the NHL. Any franchise we let leave is gone forever. I have watched every single second of Sabres hockey this year, and pretty much every year. If all you do is check the scores and standings it's easy to think they are a basket case. But actually they are where the Bills were in 2018. They blew up the old core and are cultivating a new one. They are a very young team and players that need to develop. But I can tell you this team is already much better than the s##t show they were last year under Krueger. In many games they are playing well only to screw up in their end and give up a goal.
  7. I don't eat their roast beef but I have had their gyros and like them. For a fast food gyro it's decent.
  8. Buffalo has a skyline. In fact City Hall and the Liberty Bank building have distinctive silhouettes that are uniquely Buffalo.
  9. I think they are pretty sharp. "Buffalo" in script with the outline of the city's skyline.
  10. Schedule just dropped. Only 5 home games this year. Maryland, Coastal Carolina and UMass on the road.
  11. They made it sound like it would be for 2021.
  12. Just when it's Buffalo's turn, they want to change the rules.
  13. Has anyone actually received a 1099-K from Ticketmaster? Because I haven't. And there is no place on the website to ask about it. And their support phone number and email is saying don't bother them. This went quite well.
  14. That is true but that's what happens when you put yourself out there. The NFL and NBA are just as complicit but when it's one guy saying it, you're an easier target.
  15. That piano break gives me chills.
  16. Day one draft picks .. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/usfl-draft-2022-picks-results-rosters/kfjtmrpdeztksutjassswllz
  17. I don't think it's a dumb idea at all. All these spring leagues had reasonable ratings. What they lacked was the funding to get them through the first year. And really the XFL was done in by COVID. With the USFL, you have two networks, Fox and NBC as investors.
  18. It also doesn't hurt the USFL to have investment from both Fox and NBC. They want that content and aren't going to throw the towel in quickly. I've mentioned before the AAF and XFL actually had reasonable ratings. Everybody on Twitter made light of the drop after a top 3 debut but they settled into where at least one game was in the Top 10 each week. In many cases they had more viewers than some college and NBA games, and way more than the NHL.
  19. The bad man can't hurt you anymore.

  21. This is going to be a little weird. Obviously they aren't picking players that are expecting to play in the NFL. But what if someone they pick gets drafted on Day 3 or signed as a UDFA? Are they going to have another draft to fill the holes? Or....Are they not drafting college players? Just players who didn't catch on in the NFL last year?
  22. Not to mention Phil acknowledging he doesn't care enough about human rights to pass on a big payday. At least he's honest.
  23. USFL Draft is tomorrow. Will be streamed over their social media platforms. Each round is for a position. (QB is rd1) There are 35 rounds
  24. I started to root for the Bills in '67 at 8 years old. I've been on TBD since the D&C HyperBills days, joining in '98.
  25. Here's a spoiler:
