Grier has been one of the best Sabres in the playoffs so far. He doesn't show up on the scoresheet much, but has been all over the flyers, hitting, grinding, penalty killing, etc. I think him getting the 3rd star as as much for his play yesterday as it was for his play in the whole series.

I wasn't all that impressed. I actually like Emerick's voice as an announcer, but the color guy talked way too much, so he couldn't announce the action. At one point in the game, they were babbling on about how much the Canadian dollar is worth, instead of calling the action on the ice. Oh, and Cammie Granato still doesn't have "it" to be a TV personality. I thought she was better yesterday than she was during the olympics, but she still wasn't very entertaining.

He will not be suspended for the hit. I haven't seen his hit on Wellwood, but many people said it was very similar to the one on Vanek...the only difference is that Vanek didn't get hurt.

I remember the Earl of Bud...we used to split seasons tix in the reds, and he danced right across from us. I was too young then to be buying beers....its too bad he isn't still around (or at least isn't doing his dance). Come to think of it, its too bad that we aren't playing at the Aud anymore, that was such a great barn :-(

Yeah, it was kinda sick actually. Look at the way his arm doesn't move as he falls....I'm pretty sure he was unconcious long before he ever hit the ice. Campbell isn't that big a guy, but when he lines someone up, he can really lower the boom. Even though I hate the flyers, I hope that guy is OK....thats the kind of hit that can end careers.

Well, to answer my own question, McFaddens does not have OLN, so the game won't be shown there tonight. But, the games on Monday and Wednesday will be shown there, so I hope to see some of you there next week!

I believe it is only on OLN unless you live in Buffalo, in which case it will be on MSG. My Center Ice does not have the game listed.

Thats kinda surprising....I remember going to Bandits games when they first started, and the place was packed. However, I went to one 3 or 4 years ago, and there was hardly anyone there. Good to see they are getting crowds there again though. I wonder if the Sabres' success has anything to do with that (getting people excited to go out to the arena)

Does anyone know if McFadden's managed to get OLN in time for the Sabres game tonight? I had been planning on going, but an email went out to NYCBBB yesterday saying that they might not have the game tonight...Can somebody post here if they hear otherwise?

He's mentioned pretty much every time anyone talks about candidates for coach of the year. There are a few others who usually get mentioned (Laviolette, Renney), but in pretty much every other case you can point to one player or a group of players that is brining that team along...there is no way to argue that Lindy isn't a huge part of the Sabres success this year. I think Lindy will probably win it.

The last 5 weeks of the season, there is no sunday night game scheduled....they are going to bump one of the sunday afternoon games up to sunday night, based on the matchup. Granted, I'm sure the Bills won't be an exciting prime time game, but you never know....

Yeah, i was just gonna mention, that, its great, our last 4 home games are against warm weather teams....that could help, as I don't see us having a strong start to the season, but if the chemistry is there, we could finish strong....

And if you did watch them all season, you'd be the only one who did. I went to the game last night....they claimed 12,000 some people in attendance, but I can assure you that wasn't even close to true (unless there are 30,000 seats in that building). I estimated 7,000 people there. Why don't the devils have fans? There are probably 20x the number of people who can get to a Devils game than who can get to a Sabres game, yet I've never seen HSBC even close to that empty.

I've already got the camping gear out, gonna line up for tickets to this one a month in advance.

Yes, apparently they tried to change the title of the movie, but Sam said no way, the only reason he was doing it was because of the title....so it stuck.
