A few questions about attending Sundays game.
agilen replied to titanbuoy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You kidding me? Lack of excitement? People are plenty excited. But its Christmas Eve, and people have families and traditions and what not....some things are more important than football. Maybe Nashville would sell out, but I'd bet there would be at least 10k empty seats as well, because its a Christmas Eve game. People are pumped. Even if the stadium is missing 20k people, its going to be loud with the playoffs on the line. -

On NFL Radio, they just plugged Lee Evans, saying he should have gone over Andre Johnson. -

If it comes down to that win-and-in scenario, then the baltimore game is a definite playoff game for us (not that the tenn. game isn't, but we are on the outside looking in this weekend). Baltimore might not be playing for anything in week 17. Sound familiar? Good thing we got rid of Bledsoe -
I said 8-8 would be a successful season, 7-9 was more likely. I hope I'm wrong on both counts

Lets not root for Miami just yet. Lets root for Buffalo to win against Tennesee. We'll worry about everything else later.

Don't you just love the attention were getting!

Do you think anyone at that table knows more about football than Berman? All those other guys only care about their former teams, and are very partisan because of it. Yes, Berman does have a thing for the Bills, but he has been covering football with very little bias for decades. Just look at the scenarios. If we win out, we have a legit shot at the playoffs. Berman knows that, none of those other guys do. -

I always wear my Bills jersey to away stadiums, and I always see people wearing the opposing team's jerseys at the Ralph. If you are respectful of the people around you, you won't have any problems. If you act like an idiot, you will...anywhere. I always make friends with the folks around me, talk about football, baseball, whatever. There might be a jerk or two around, but most are fine, and I wouldn't worry. -
But, the Jets/Miami game is after the Bills play. So, our playoff hopes are still alive no matter what going into the game on Sunday.

Re-Tooled or Re-Packaged?: Our new offensive line

Also remember that after the Colts game, the coaching staff gave JP the green light to tuck it and run. He hasn't used that green light much, but he has used it effectively. I think that has altered defenses thinking, because they can get burned now if they bring too many people in a pass rush. So, maybe its a combo of improved O-line play and "improved" mobility of Losman? -
He is 5th in the AFC, which I think says even more, since the NFC is...well, crappy, so its easy for a guy like Romo or Brees to run up his stats (Not that those guys are bad, but they get to play some pretty bad teams)
-
I'm not sure that he is the "best", but he really deserves to be talked about in the same breath as the other three guys now. He is certainly better than Eli, but Phillip Rivers is playing well, albeit with a much stronger supporting cast. Roethlisberger I think has been playing a little better, but I think JP has more as-yet-unrealized potential. I think we are still 2-3 years away from really seeing where everyone from the 2004 qb class falls.

Well, they still won, and a game that looked earlier this season like a certain W is now a really tough contest between 2 real up-and-coming teams. Go Bills!

The screaming kids is another internet-phenomenon video (like the Miller house lights commercial last year). It was funny on YouTube...its not funny on a BMW commercial. Come up with some original content.
-
unfortunately, it can't really keep up with the action.... The way compression on these things work, the more motion in the video, the more data needs to get sent. So, every time they snap the ball, there is too much going on, and my video freezes. But, Sirius just decided to crap out, so this is all I have right now.

That was 2003. -
Thats kind of strange, as I don't believe there was a vintage of Dom in 1974. Can you take a pic of the bottle? If that is true, then yes, its still good (if it were stored correctly), and yes, its worth a decent amount of $$ (somehwere between $200 and $500 i'd guess).

Or better yet, since you live in NYC, go down to their offices to complain: National Football League 280 Park Avenue New York, NY 10017

Del Frisco's in NYC is the best steak I've had, and it wasn't _all_ that expensive....for 4 of us, the bill was around $350 or so. Of course, there were slim pickins for wine, as their wine list seemed to average $700/bottle, but there were a couple of decent ones in the $40-$50 range. I think they have a few locations around the country. I haven't tried EB Green's, but I can't say I believe that little pamphlet they leave in your room at the Hyatt saying its top 10.

Heh, well, I don't bet anyway, so I'm just gonna enjoy the game. I haven't watched all that much college football in my years, but when I see SEC games, they look like what I've always thought of as "college football": gimmicky, high-school like offenses with better atheletes, which makes for big, exciting plays against bad defenses. Big Ten games, on the other hand, look a lot more like pro football...more pocket passers, more grinding running plays, and better coached defenses. So, if Wisconsin can march down the field and score on 6, 7, 8 minute drives, I can't really see Arkansas run-only gimmick offense coming from behind against a defense that is probably better than most they've played this year. On the other hand, if Arkansas gets a lead, they can run their offense and they'll probably win.
-
Lee Evans says the Big Ten hits too hard for McFadden I only saw the last 2 Arkansas games, but to be honest I wasn't that impressed. They have some great athletes, but if they get behind, they don't have the offense to get back into the game, or at least that is what I saw. They are incabaple of passing the ball. But, if they can control the clock, then they can win. To be honest, this is the only bowl game outside of Michigan/USC that looks to me like its worth watching. The rest of the games are just commercials for tortilla chips.
-
Wonder if this will help or hurt ticket sales. Why would the networks move the game if it weren't even on TV in Buffalo?

LSU lost by 4 at Auburn, and by 13 at Florida (the supposed #2 team). They also beat Tennesee and Arkansas. ND got blown out at home by Michigan, and blown out by a USC team that lost to 2 unranked teams. I suppose there are different ways to look at things, but just watching both teams play, LSU is the real deal, and ND....well, they aren't.
