  1. Or better yet, since you live in NYC, go down to their offices to complain: National Football League 280 Park Avenue New York, NY 10017
  2. Del Frisco's in NYC is the best steak I've had, and it wasn't _all_ that expensive....for 4 of us, the bill was around $350 or so. Of course, there were slim pickins for wine, as their wine list seemed to average $700/bottle, but there were a couple of decent ones in the $40-$50 range. I think they have a few locations around the country. I haven't tried EB Green's, but I can't say I believe that little pamphlet they leave in your room at the Hyatt saying its top 10.
  3. Heh, well, I don't bet anyway, so I'm just gonna enjoy the game. I haven't watched all that much college football in my years, but when I see SEC games, they look like what I've always thought of as "college football": gimmicky, high-school like offenses with better atheletes, which makes for big, exciting plays against bad defenses. Big Ten games, on the other hand, look a lot more like pro football...more pocket passers, more grinding running plays, and better coached defenses. So, if Wisconsin can march down the field and score on 6, 7, 8 minute drives, I can't really see Arkansas run-only gimmick offense coming from behind against a defense that is probably better than most they've played this year. On the other hand, if Arkansas gets a lead, they can run their offense and they'll probably win.
  4. Lee Evans says the Big Ten hits too hard for McFadden I only saw the last 2 Arkansas games, but to be honest I wasn't that impressed. They have some great athletes, but if they get behind, they don't have the offense to get back into the game, or at least that is what I saw. They are incabaple of passing the ball. But, if they can control the clock, then they can win. To be honest, this is the only bowl game outside of Michigan/USC that looks to me like its worth watching. The rest of the games are just commercials for tortilla chips.
  5. Wonder if this will help or hurt ticket sales. Why would the networks move the game if it weren't even on TV in Buffalo?
  6. LSU lost by 4 at Auburn, and by 13 at Florida (the supposed #2 team). They also beat Tennesee and Arkansas. ND got blown out at home by Michigan, and blown out by a USC team that lost to 2 unranked teams. I suppose there are different ways to look at things, but just watching both teams play, LSU is the real deal, and ND....well, they aren't.
  7. Not only that....look what he said on November 10th: http://www.wholehogsports.com/adg/172550/ Yet that is exactly what he did. He actually went beyond that, and put Florida #1. Can we please not have complete morons deciding who does and doesn't get to play in games that generate hundreds of millions of dollars?
  8. I agree. I had hoped for 8-8 this year, saying that would be a successful season. 7-9 is more what I expected, and that is pretty much a non-disappointing season. 5-11 or 6-10 might leave a bit more of a bitter taste, although it would help our draft position.
  9. Wow, the BCS really crapped the bed here. Its pretty clear that college football is a popularity contest, and nothing else. The funny thing is, the Rose Bowl is going to be far and away the most entertaining of the 5 BCS games. Florida doesn't stand a chance against Ohio State. Yes, Michigan got totally snubbed, but the Rose Bowl is still big for them. But ND in a BCS bowl? WHAT? If LSU isn't favored by 21 points in that game, then I'll bet on it. I know some of you on here are ND fans, but honestly, do they have a prayer in this game based on past performance in big games this year?
  10. Yikes! Thats one of my favorite places to eat. There is one in NYC now, but it not the same, it feels like a TGI fridays. The original is the best.
  11. How about ones where the original game was good? Go UCLA
  12. Its funny, I would feel bad for the kids....but then I hear the announcers. I'm pretty sure one of them shot their dog after that game.
  13. Cool, that means more tailgating. Is a crowd from this board going to be there?
  14. Yeah, I was in there...the section was kinda quiet for the 1st period, but got rolling in the 2nd. I love how Rangers fans don't know what to do when we cheer, so they just end up booing their own team
  15. Come on, stop talking playoffs. We aren't there yet....I know 2 wins in a row is exciting, but I still think 8-8 would be a successful season for us. If we win a few more in a row, then you can talk about playoffs.
  16. Heh, I never thought of it that way, but I think you are right. There is something really off about it. You going Sunday? I'll be there in my white #5 Ramsey jersey
  17. Ever been to a NY Rangers game? The song they play when they score a goal makes puts....well, basically anything to shame, its that horrifyingly bad.
  18. And, predictably, TMQ lays into both Jauron and Kubiak for that ridiculous sequence:
  19. I saw it. Yeah, yeah, the girlfriend wanted to see it. It wasn't bad though, had kinda a dark overtone to it with the way people acted, I thought.
  20. What are the odds of any NFL coach calling a pass play on 3rd and 2 even though you are averaging 7 yards a rush? In _any_ sitation that is a bad play call, but especially so when you can use up the other team's last timeout with under 2 minutes to play.
  21. Who are you people? Yes, yesterday's game was sweet. But don't kid yourselves....we ain't making the playoffs this year.
  22. Yeah, I liked it....it seemed to kind of catch the flavor of buffalo, to "Go Bills" sign on the house, the gray weather, the salt guy wearing Bills gear. Some old footage of a snowy Bills-Dolphins game on a TV somewhere would have made it ever sweeter. Too bad they didn't show the Dolphins going home with their tails between their legs.
  23. The fact of the matter is, the _ONLY_ reason that worked is because houston tried a pass on 3rd down, and it went incomplete. I'm willing to bet that TMQ will call out houston for that play...as he always says, sometimes running up the middle for no gain is the best thing to do. Houston didn't do that, and they lost. If Houston didn't have a moronic coaching staff, Jauron would have looked like a fool for punting.
  24. I didn't see the game, but read somewhere that Williams was lined up against Pennington, not Peters. So it might have been their other DE.
  25. Yeah, I think Jauron really blew it by punting there in the 4th quarter. He just got super, super lucky that the Texans coaching staff is dumber than he is, and threw the ball.
