  1. Great win for the Sabres, and Boston managed to beat Ottawa in a shootout, so we are 1 point behind going into the game Saturday...a win would put us in 1st in the division! Beerme1, only 33 more days until you can sneak off that Leaf wagon and hop on for Buffalo's run to the cup :-)
  2. And by the end of the 2nd period, your drunk leaf buddy next to you will dump his beer all over you, beacuse that "Lets Go Buff-a-lo!" chant that was in your head slipped out of your mouth
  3. The profit ends up here: http://finance.yahoo.com/q?d=t&s=TM You want some of it? Go ahead and pick up a few shares of Toyota!
  4. Also after Jack shot Chapelle in season 3 (i think). I think they do it whenever a main cast member dies.
  5. Thats not true...the Sabres site is quite a bit different from all the other teams, and I believe it was designed by a WNY company.
  6. Its on USA (and Universal HD if you get it)
  7. Have you ever gone curling? Its not as easy as it looks....not only is it a game of skill (getting the right weight and spin on your throw, etc.), but its also a game of strategy. For the same reason you can't be a grand chess master, you won't be a world champion curler unless you have the intrinsic ability to out-strategize the best curlers in the world. Don't knock the sport because the physical requirements aren't as strenuous as other sports.
  8. I agree, that was utter crap. We were all watching it, shocked at how the NFL had already awarded the lombardi trophy to the steelers....didn't see hasselbeck until late in the game. I thought they were classless commercials anyway...you don't let players touch a trophy that they haven't won.
  9. Don't forget about the horse collar tackle on Alexander on the play after the holding call. That would have been a 15 yd penalty and a first down, i believe. Another huge non-call. And, big ben blocked a guy below the knees on the randle el td pass, which was also not called.
  10. That was one of the worst officiated games of all time...up there with the just give it to 'em game (although, much higher stakes). I wasn't rooting for seattle, but i think they legitimately got hosed....the NFL is turning into a huge joke, bringing tom brady in for the coin toss, and fixing the officiating for the game. And yes, I am accusing them of fixing it, because it was incredibly biased.
  11. My parents have a time share down there, and go down a lot. All i really get out of them is that there are a lot of topless dutch girls around....so have fun!
  12. Yeah, it kinda sucks how quiet HSBC can be sometimes. I was listening to the clips of the last game at the Aud the other day, man, that place was loud. A lot of people in the lower levels don't even stand up when we score anymore
  13. Alright beerme, like i said the other day, that voice in the back of your head is getting louder... "Lets go Buff-a-lo! Lets go Buff-a-lo!" There is a spot up here on the bandwagon with your name on it!
  14. Thats because they play dirty, all the time. They get away with it too. You can't tell me that Sundin punching two sabres in the back of the head and the Sabres getting the penalties for it doesn't show the referees bias towards the leafs. Or Mike Grier getting called for goaltender interference when he never even touched the goaltender, when it convieniently gave the leafs a 5-3. Face it, the leafs can't even win when the deck is stacked. I know you hear it in the back of your head... "Lets Go Buff-a-lo!"
  15. You could start rooting for the Sabres
  16. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2309549 The NFL network is in so few homes, they have to be nuts. Cable companies move incredibly slowly when adding channels...I would imagine that the NFL is using this to make sure that their network gets picked up by as many providers as they can, but in the meantime, this is gonna screw a lot of people out of being able to watch their teams play.
  17. First of all, Numminen is probably our top defender, and a huge part of our power play success (even though he only gets assists). Thus, for the Sabres, missing him is almost (but not quite) like the Leafs missing McCabe. Second of all, Briere was the top scorer when he went down with an injury, and Connolly was the top scorer when he went down. I'd take Briere and Connolly any day of the week over Lindros and Tucker. So yes, the Sabres injuries are worse than the Leafs, we just have the depth to make up for it.
  18. The Sabres were missing 5 very important people to injury. (And before you say Mair and Pyatt aren't important, remember that the Sabres 4th line was a huge part of their early success, and it hasn't been together since Mair went down) Tonights game was evidence of how you can't be the Yankees of hockey. You _must_ build talent inside your organization to win in the new NHL, and the Leafs just don't understand that. The Sabres have had guys stepping up from Rochester all year, and we still have several players down there waiting for their chance.
  19. They said he'll talk about the coach soon.
  20. He will be on at 10:30...Soprano isn't lying about that....
  21. There is no "breakdown in communication". I didn't need the boys in Toronto to call to know that the referee should have reviewed that goal on his own. This is a major home job by the NHL, and they should be ashamed of themselves.
  22. Agreed....actually, I just think that Donahoe was more Wormtounge, and now Marv(Gandalf) finally convinced Wilson (Theoden) to get rid of him.
