  1. There's 2 types of people - those who tailor their beliefs to fit reality, and those who tailor reality to fit their beliefs.
  2. What does this tell you about the nature of reality?
  3. It's that time, isn't it
  4. Strong looked like NFL was a step up too far in preseason. Had real trouble dealing with NFL WR's quickness and suddenness in and out of breaks. Maybe not overwhelmed like Codrington or Jackson but certainly whelmed.
  5. I personally thought the timing was just off since Lamar briefly double-clutched before throwing it. By that time Andrews was too close to the sideline and trying to contort to make sure he got the pylon, and forgot to catch it. That's the sort of throw you know your technically proficient QB's like a Brady or Burrow will make 10/10, but an Allen or Jackson maybe 9/10.
  6. The corporation lost eleventy jillion dollars because everyone who pirated the feed would have gladly paid for it otherwise. Hell they would have paid 10 times as much! ...and next year they will!
  7. I can't make the argument that Josh has beaten Lamar in the playoffs as a reason to rank him higher while at the same dismissing that the same argument for arguing Mahomes over Allen. You just have to look at performance. Allen and Mahomes are in a tier far beyond Lamar (and pretty much everyone) in the postseason. Allen, Jackson and Mahomes have distinct and unprecedented regular season achievements related to their performance (vs, say, Burrow who operates the position at a high level but not a "special" or unique level IMO). The dismissal of arguments against Lamar's 2x MVPs for not really having the stats to justify his selection is now flipped on it's head by Ravens fans since he finally had his outlier statistical season - a lot of which was achieved after MVP voting and a result of "running it up" against tomato cans - and is used to retcon a narrative that Josh's award was a "pity award" when either of Jackson's prior MVPs would better fit that argument. If nothing else, just be consistent in evaluation each player's play at the position and who was most VALUABLE to the team's level of success.
  8. The influence of the Byrds in '65 can't be overstated. Even the Beatles were picking up 12-strings to go with their soaring harmonies... and there were others.
  9. I'm getting a vibe here...
  10. Hear hear. Although I listened to Tommy the other day for the first time in a long time and picked up on a bunch of stuff that life and experience allowed me to tune into that young me didn't connect to. But while Pete has a fairly sizeable ego he doesn't let it tamp down the music, including giving his friend Speedy Keen the lead track on "Sell Out" because it's just such a great tune.
  11. Just caught part of Jerruh's presser, he referenced directly the Cowboys inability to stop the run, and in particular Parsons being a great pass rusher but unable to stop the run when teams ran at him. Sounds like the Bills game broke him.
  12. "That's the proof of the pudding." - Lou Saban, not Hank Bullough I miss the old days so much.
  13. Rows and flows of dreadlocked hair And long post-patterns in the air And running downhill everywhere I've watched the Bills that way There was a time they rarely won And were mocked by everyone So many things I would've done With no games on Sunday I've watched the Bills from both sides now From beasts of east to decade drought I think while watching through a squall I really don't know Bills football
  14. Who designed that, Spray'N'Wash? It looks like someone got married to tuberculosis.
  15. If I could get a big signing bonus and suck at my job and get let go and have some funemployment and then do it all over, again and again, I sure would.
  16. This guy gets guaranteed a lot of money every year and gets released every year.
  17. Has there been a single surprise cut yet to anyone who watched the preseason?
  18. The Bills need Shavers. Josh needs a Shave. It's obvious really.
  19. I would have been ok with the Bills drafting him at Landon Jackson's slot. Yikes. In retrospect Xavier Watts was completely obvious there, and Jordan Burch actually looked like he's doing now for the Cardinals what the Bills hope Jackson will do eventually for them.
  20. Wasn't Strange a first rounder? Vrabel is draining his accounts at the **** Bank
  21. I wish him all the success Jordan Poyer experienced last year.
  22. Lundt has the feet for it, just not the ass. It's the bull rushes that are moving him; that can be worked on.
