  1. For the first time in a long time I'm against the Bills entertaining a WR on Days 1-2. Where would they play him? Shakir in the slot and Palmer at boundary are set. Then there's Samuel and Coleman as roster locks. This is the draft to get a traits guy later. Too many people are smart to Donte Thornton from Tennessee, I think someone takes a flyer on Day 2... my combine crush is Isaac Teslaa, he'd certainly be worth a flyer in the middle of Day 3. Kind of a faster Hollins - big frame, willing blocker, great hands, clocks in the low 4.4's. Been deployed mainly as a big slot and needs coached up to play outside, but toolsy.
  2. Or draft JJ Pegues and hand it off to him
  3. That's not what I'm seeing on Sporting News... this one is worse 30. Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall (6-3, 251 pounds) 56. Omarr Norman-Lott, DT, Tennessee (6-2, 291 pounds) 62. Azareye'h Thomas, CB, Florida State (6-1, 197 pounds) 109. Savion Williams, WR, TCU (6-4, 222 pounds) 132. Jonas Sanker, S, Virginia (6-0, 206 pounds) 169. Connor Colby, G, Iowa (6-6, 309 pounds) 170. Tonka Hemingway, DT, South Carolina (6-3, 284 pounds) 173. Kitan Crawford, S, Nevada (5-11, 202 pounds) 177. Kyle Williams, WR, Washington State (5-11, 190 pounds) 206. LeQuint Allen, RB, Syracuse (6-2, 204 pounds) Then there's this one, https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/buffalo-bills/news/latest-mock-draft-features-trade-will-leave-bills-mafia-livid-new-england-patriots-new-york-giants-lenneth-grant/c26a192169dacbaa7adb368c Bills trade down, #30 + #109 to New England for #38 and #77, then shift #38 + #132 to the New York Giants for #34. What the hell is that trade board value anyway? Pats move up 8 spots INTO R1 for the DIFFERENCE between a 3rd and a 4th... but for the Bills to move up only 4 spots in the 2nd, they need to give up a 4th rounder? Who comes up with this stuff.
  4. Commanders have only 5 picks. They have already spewed a lot of 2025 and a fair amount of 2026 draft capital to get win-now pieces. If anything the sense is that they'd be looking to trade down from 29 to try to replenish some picks.
  5. To me the biggest difference is we do see Elam playing on the line but you do not see him disrupting routes physically. He allowed free releases (and was a step behind). With the Bills, that was his biggest weakness - other than grabbitis. He whiffed comically trying to execute on rare occasions he was asked to get a jam off the line. Amos will press and disrupt line releases. This is key to countering what KC did to the Bills in the AFCCG, their free releases and easy yards just bled the defense. Philly molested KC in that 5-yard contact zone and you saw what that did. If anything that Elam rack makes me feel better about Amos - most of it is Elam playing off the ball in zone and crap QB's throwing the ball right to him, or a late throw allowing Elam to react and get back to the spot. For a guy supposed to be a man specialist he seemed to get beat by his man quite a bit, and recover only because the throw was bottom-tier. Amos to me is more reminiscent of McDuffie that Elam in what his rack is showing. Bills need a CB who can jam releases, can plaster and has long speed.
  6. It's fair to argue the point, Elam never showed with the Bills what he did in college for reasons we'll probably never know... to me he still looked markedly stiffer in his movement than what I've seen of Amos. But one of the other reasons he's making plays in this highlight package - my opinion - is those are some unbelievably terrible throws by lousy QB's.
  7. Not really and it doesn't take 40 seconds. The 1st highlight, the INT, he jumps the route and picks it off. I saw Elam do that. The 2nd highlight has Amos pressing a much bigger man, plastering him down the field and breaking up the pass. Elam is lucky if he gets his hands on the guy and probably ends up with cleat marks on his chest if he does. The one right after that, playing off and changing direction, flipping the hips a couple times, never saw Elam do that either.
  8. I was considering Scourton as an edge fit for Washington at 29. I noticed you do not have him in the 1st round in your 2.0 Mock. Just a personal point of curiosity - where was Jihaad on your board? Would you have considered him for Buffalo at #30 had he made it? I think Edge is the greater roster need and positional value, but went Campbell based on his traits outweighing those other factors, I see him as a top-15 or top-20 OA, and I wasnt blown away at Scourton's combine, looked stiff to me.
  9. Just a reminder that this poll is for pick #30 in @Virgil's TSW Draft 1.0, which means 29 players have already been selected of which Grant and Revel are two of them.
  10. I'm fine with Amos at #30. Thrilled with him at #31 or #32 and three Day-2 picks
  11. I like Hairston, he ticks every box except tackling and availability. But he is fast as anyone on a given field, high character, leader, McD would love him... if only he could tackle without breaking himself.
  12. What Gunner said. Back to the subject, if you have Nolen and Amos in a similar tier then it's obvious you take Amos because 1) Plays a position of greater draft value 2) Plays a position of greater roster need 3) Already have a very similar player in Nolen's projected role on the roster. There are MANY 1T DT's which the Bills REALLY need available on Day 2. Collins, Caldwell, Biggers, and more. Especially if Beane trades down with KC to get ahold of pick #95
  13. Nolan's NFL comp is literally Ed Oliver. Bit undersized, short arms, high motor. And how much of TSW has been b*tching about Oliver since he's been drafted?
  14. Best of all timelines: trade down with KC again! 30+109 for 31+95, do it Beane you know you wanna!
  15. Virgil will need to set it up from the best available fits for the Bills that are still on the board. players like: Edge: Mike Green, Donovan Ezeiruaku, Nic Scourton, Jack Sawyer DL: Walter Nolen, Tyleik Williams, Darius Alezander, Alfred Collins CB: Maxwell Hairston, Trey Amos, Benjamin Morrison, Darien Porter S: Xavier Watts WR: Luther Burden, Jayden Higgins TE: Colston Loveland, Mason Taylor RB: Omarion Hampton, Treyveon Henderson IOL: Grey Zabel, Donovan Jackon, Wyatt Milum, Marcus Mbow OT: Areola Ersery, Josh Conerly
  16. With the 29th pick in the 2025 TSW Draft 1.0, the Washington Comanches select... Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama The team: We have our franchise QB on an ELC, and are in win-now mode. We have a dearth of draft capital due to trades for immediate contributors like Marshon Lattimore, Deebo Samuel, Laremy Tunsil. Post-FA our starting roster deficiency is at pass-rushing Edge, Sam LB, and Guard. We are concerned that Lattimore looked washed late in the season. We are also looking to upgrade depth on the lines and LB, add to offensive skill positions with explosive talent, and find more athleticism in the secondary. We are favoring high-floor prospects who are ready to contribute during our newly-opened window. The player: This is a strictly a BPA pick - we like Ezeiruaku as a player who is difficult to block (and spell) and Mike Green also, but they lack anchor against the run, at which we were woeful stopping last year. The traits we saw from Campbell at the combine were second only to Emmanwori. You've seen the splash plays in his college career, he brought his best production in the biggest games. First-team All-SEC, and semifinalist for both the Butkus and Bednarik, Campbell can bring at minimum 2-down impact from a more traditional Sam role than the Big Nickel that the departed Jeremy Chinn manned. He has also shown pass-rush potential from the edge in a wide-9 set on 3rd downs which can also be explored, which may mitigate passing on the true Edges available at this juncture - they are less complete players than Campbell. @Virgil it's time to take the poll for the much-anticipated TSW pick #30. To paraphrase Semisonic, "I know who I want to take in the poll"
  17. We're 3 hours on from the Baltimore pick... I have a vested interest at pick #29 so am recusing myself. (although with this draft board I'd bet the Lions fall over themselves getting a card up for Mike Green)
  18. I'm around... my pick is ready to go as long as nobody takes him first and I need to do a different writeup
  19. CB has an inherent position premium in the draft, and conversely 1-techs are devalued. Similarly graded, you take the CB first. If the lineman is graded higher, have the discussion.
  20. It’s not a perfect fit but there are upsides to Zabel in having multiple position flex, which the Bills value, and having shown out in the prospect games/practices despite some nagging injuries. It would help solve problems going forward after 2025 on the OL with expiring contracts. That said, the Bills have acquired flex guys like Bates and Anderson for basically free, and the pick projects to have minimal impact for the 2025 season which the Bills really can’t afford from #30.
  21. Is there a rookie DL gonna get to Mahomes in 2 seconds? If not, then having two CBs who you can deploy at the LOS and force him to hold the ball might have to be the answer. It was the quick rhythm passing that beat them in the AFCCG. The Bills had no answer to disrupt it, and while they need to upgrade both ends of that lever there's an argument that there's more depth at DL available for 56/62.
  22. PFF has the Bills sending #30 + #62 to Tampa for the #19 slot and drafting CB Will Johnson. In slot #30 the Bucs nab Trey Amos. The question is... is Johnson pick #62 better than Amos? Or do the Bills staff flag him for short arms? https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2025-nfl-mock-draft-travis-hunter-patriots-bills-bears-titans-big-trades
  23. I do so many mocks from the Bills' perspective, and having never tried one of these in-house mocks, I'll take a shot at: Commanders, Eagles, or Packers
  24. what, you didn’t enjoy the Lifetime special presentation of “I’m So Sorry I Had To Shoot My Abusive Policeman Boyfriend” ?
  25. I kinda like it... my own stab for the day was Harmon (B) Porter (B+) and Ivey (A). Grant has been more consistently unavailable while Pearce has been more consistently available. I don't think it's character issues with Pearce - unless you count being dumb as a box of rocks as a character trait.
