I would love to keep him just for his effect on the locker room.. but I also think he is very underestimated on a ST unit that was highly questionable.. as a receiver he is a big physical force... like put 20lbs on him and make him a TE lol... obviously strikes no fear into the hearts of a boundary CB covering him unless its a jump ball.. but seems to find a way to make a catch or 2 a game... sometimes big catch.. just like the dude. As a 4 or 5 WR...

Prepare For The Bills To Go International Regularly

Never really thought about this... I like it... So, I don't hate them per se... I am happy to see a 9 am game and extend my football watching on Sunday... but speaking for me... its a bit of over exposure... like too much... what is the end goal... to have teams in Europe? I am not sure I would want that... I dont like what the travel does to my home team... its a big trip with lag both ways... happy to play a team coming back from say Germany the week before... so hate, no... but when it involves the Bills especially when we lose a home game for it... just not a fan.. I think the fact it is for the money and they are putting "our" sport on the road for more money.. that kinda rubs me the wrong way.... But to your point, I do wonder what the players think about it... like ... dude that was cool got to go to ... France or Germany ... Brazil whatever and see cool stuff... or are they like ... I hate this.. thats a long a$$ flight living for a week in a hotel room ... blah blah... I suspect its a mix... but I do wonder if its an over all net positive or neg for them. -
Eric Moulds for that matter too would have been great here with Josh... Lee could fly though... like a John Brown that had a complete route tree and great hands...

I go back to the early 70s... the transition of the league is similar to me to the transition in music when it was creative, raw and had this local feel to it... it then progressed to this processed, scripted, over played, entity that focused on the Dollar and not the music... I listen to the Who's good by sister disco... plastic, deaf, dumb and blind... I think the NFL is becoming plastic, deaf, dumb and blind... too full of themselves to think that they could ever be knocked off the perch... ok LOL that was a stretch comparison.. but on one cup a coffee its the best I got right now -
Really nice.. glad they put a solid amount of his community stuff in too.. consumate pro ... all the best 23
-
I think Ed can totally be replaced... an upgrade there would be nice.
-
Well, we agree that hopefully we can go all the way next year.. I am not sure where you are going with the FG in Houston, I would add the use of playcalling and Time Outs in the Rams game.. and of course the KC game.. I think what I am saying if we do the right things in both player personnel and game planning our future is bright... will that happen... remains to be seen..
-
I am more worried it was less the injury and more the violence of the hit that derailed him... like is he gun shy, I dont know but I am interested to see him next year... I would expect solid progress from him... if not, then I will be concerned.
-
Wasnt quite as dire but did not forsee AFCCG I also think the future is bright if we do the right things...

Gonzo Mock Draft Version 3.0 Final Version( Starts on Page 7)
JP51 replied to gonzo1105's topic in The Stadium Wall
I honestly agree... I cannot see them going WR with no qb... I honestly have no idea where they go... they need a QB and I dont think Sanders is the guy.. Cam Ward.. I mean I dont know... not enamoured with the QB position.. they may go DE if they trade Garrett. -
Yeah, I love Kupp, but we have receivers like him.. I think questionably he would be the best WR on the team interested to see how his knee holds up... but we would be investing a lot of resources into a player that we ultimately already have... and a dimension we already have covered.. so fine do it.. .but does that mean you dont go after a guy that can stretch the field.. and I am not talking some gadget really fast guy... a legit WR that can run the route tree and stretch the field.. and are you going to go after a game breaking DL... or DE... and are you going to improve your DB situation... if this trade precludes these things my answer is no...
-
as he should.. he can do something about it... we just watch.. and hope
-
They can lie all they want... and probably will... but the results will be the results.. and they will react to the results in a way that benefits them from a revenue standpoint regardless of what they say... I believe none of what they say... lol... half of what they do...
-
agreed they get the majority of their revenue from this... if viewership tanks this would be another leading indicator that there are issues as well as to a lesser degree the ticket prices.. although there can be a lot of reasons for that but multiple or confirming indicators you can be sure they will notice this means dollars and cents.. if it means that you have their attention.
-
You are right it doesnt hurt the league they are getting thier price on every ticket... what it does do is give a leading indicator on their sway on the fan... I would imagine they would not welcome this news for the future... I think they are only about money.. and if your demand is going down (not that it is necessarily), but if a leading indicator suggests demand down then you are concerned or watchful etc... I believe there may be a message in this or that they perceive one...
-
I agree this is a combo ... Beane's upper tier drafting has not produced the game breakers it needs too... simply functional players... leaving the D with C minus talent... not liking McD's approach to defense honestly as it really hasnt adapted and we have seen tremendous player regression for multiple players... this moves to coaching... mostly Babich, but McD as well...
-
Its clearly a pre requisite to our draft... Love these threads... I add zero value here LOL I am so not a draftnik, but I love getting the insight here, one of my favorite parts of this board...
-
He did regress... but honestly I wonder what we thought was gonna happen when we took out Hyde and Poyer ... and gave him no pass rush... I feel like you fix pass rush and Safety and he is a better player.. but I am clearly gonna be fine with an upgrade there... and quite honestly, I dont think there is even gonna be a debate.. I think he is outta here back to Green Bay...
-
I dont disagree... not at all
-
Maybe we should copy the Seahawks old approach?
JP51 replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I aint gonna ping ya... they feed on each other, lock down 2ndry helps the pass rush and vice versa... in the end, I am more looking for a game wrecking DL because you cant throw away from him and they have more of an opporiunity to impact the game on a play to play basis... but what you say isnt wrong,,, I would just approach it different... -
Lot of area's on D that need to be improved... but my main focus would be on a game wrecking DL either a DE or a 1T.. then play it out from there... the existence of a pass rush and a guy that blows sh(t up gonna help everyone... Do that and I would walk it back with Benford and Douglas.. now if Douglas goes ... then you gotta do something like you are talking about... just wonder if it isnt cheaper to retain Douglas?
