It will be interesting to see what happens if Cook has a monster year in 2025. Something like 1,500 yards rushing with 15 or more rushing TD's. Add in 500 or more yards receiving with around 5 TD passes. If he wants the big money put up the big numbers in 2025 and Beane will offer a better contract that he might like.

Maybe the Giants game. The Redskins just physically kicked the Bills asses, and the Cowboys were the better team at that point. I don't think he would have gotten wins over the Redskins and Cowboys. So maybe 1-3 in those games.

He can't even get to the Super Bowl with Allen. Parcells, Gibbs, Johnson would have outcoached him just like Reid does in the playoffs.

It will be interesting to see who gets the WC 2 in the east. The Canadiens need just one point, but the Blue Jackets keep winning and can still catch them. Both teams have one game left. The Canadiens host the Hurricanes tonight while the Blue Jackets host the Islanders tomorrow night. The Hurricanes are a good team, but they are locked into the 2 vs 3 first round matchup vs the Devils. They might rest some of their starters. They better get it done tonight because if they lose then I don't see anyway a motivated Jackets team is losing tomorrow night at home to the Islanders.

Miami Herald: Dolphins players have turned on McDaniel
Gregg replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Isn't this considered a weak QB class this draft. Wilson while not what he used to be buys them a year or two. Besides the Giants are in a full rebuild mode. With the Eagles and Commanders they aren't winning the division anytime soon. The Giants have to show some improvement from last year for Schoen and Daboll to keep their jobs. IMHO. They don't have to make the playoffs but they can't be as bad as last year. Both definitely won't survive that. -

My prediction is he is the first coach fired. Either sometime during the 2025 season or right after. No way he and Schoen survive another horrible year. -
All American original 6 teams failed to qualify for the playoffs (Rangers, Bruins, Blackhawks, Red Wings). First that has ever happened.

It's hard to kick in Buffalo in many games with the wind, rain, and snow. With the way the new stadium is being designed I hope it can at least cut down on the windy conditions to make it easier for Bass and future Buffalo kickers.

Aaron Rodgers maybe? He is an offseason drama queen. -
I would add the Giants as a possible trade partner now that they no longer have Barkley.

The problem these spring leagues have is all of the top talent coming out of college goes to the NFL since that is where the money is. The drop off in the level of play is noticeable because of it. Many fans (at least for me) also switch gears to NHL playoffs, MLB, NBA playoffs when spring is here. I don't think any other football league will have the same interest that the NFL and college have.

There will be an NFL Triple-header on Christmas (a Thursday)
Gregg replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Goodell had his way the NFL would schedule games 7 days a week. The ones who are not happy about football on Christmas is the NBA. That used to be there day but ever since the NFL took over the NBA gets crushed in the ratings on Christmas. -
Kathy Hochul will find a way to come up with the money just like she did for the Bills. It will suck that it will be at taxpayer expense but that it is my prediction.

Dolphins & Jalen Ramsey exploring trade options
Gregg replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just think NE is trending up and MIA and NYJ have gotten worse. We will see how the draft plays out for these teams as well. I do think Vrabel is a good coach who will turn the Pats around. You may be right in that the Dolphins finish ahead of the Pats for this year, but I think NE will eventually become the Bills toughest challenger in the AFCE in the near future. -

No thanks to Ramsey. Our new DB will be coming from the draft. -
The only Super Bowl the Bills should have won was the Giants game. The Bills were the better team but credit the Giants for executing the perfect game plan in hogging the ball for 40 minutes. Maybe if the Bills would have given the ball more to Thurman, they probably win even though they only had the ball 20 minutes. Thurman was having a great game that day. The Redskins just physically kicked the crap out of the Bills and the Cowboys at that point were the better team. Although the Bills did have a chance to pull off the upset leading 13-6 at half in the Super Bowl rematch but once it was tied then things went downhill very quickly.

Dolphins & Jalen Ramsey exploring trade options
Gregg replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
It does feel like we can "insert" NE into 2nd place in the AFCE this year. Unless injuries hit hard or the Bills suffer a devastating injury (17) then they should sleepwalk to another division title. Which at this point doesn't mean much as the Bills will be judged again on what happens in the playoffs. -
These spring football leagues never seem to work out. The only football that matters is the NFL and college football. Until the NFL starts up again the only team that has my attention right now is.

Bills halt contract negotiations with Cook
Gregg replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
Henry only makes $8M/yr. I would have guessed he was making a lot more than that. I don't know what a fair price is for Cook. Hopefully Beane can figure that out because losing Cook would be a blow to the offense. -
Bills halt contract negotiations with Cook
Gregg replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
I really hope they can get this resolved and he signs with the Bills. He isn't on the level of Barkley or Henry but in his first 3 years in the league he has 2,638 yards rushing with 883 yards receiving and 27 total TD's. Last year alone he had 1,009 yards rushing and led the league with 16 rushing TD's. He is the 2nd best player on the Bills offense and a big reason why the offense has been successful. -
Going from 30 to 10 is still a big jump up. The cost would be very high, and the Bills have multiple needs especially on defense. I mentioned this earlier in this thread but if a player Beane likes falls on the board then maybe he can trade up into the low 20's to get him. If Beane decides to trade up, then that is the most likely scenario. IMHO. I don't see the Bills anywhere near the top 10 in this draft.

Can I get a round of applause for my Islanders. They only lost by a touchdown (9-2) to their most hated rival. Good job Islanders.

Wilson will never become a good NFL QB, but he is successful off the field. I have to give him credit for that. https://nypost.com/2025/04/10/sports/zach-wilson-and-fiancee-celebrate-love-in-hawaii-as-wedding-nears/
