Happy Birthday Joe. I still think if Joe was healthy in the 1980 divisional round vs the Chargers instead of playing on a badly sprained ankle the Bills win that game. Then they would have played the Raiders at home in the AFCCG. They had beaten Oakland 24-7 earlier that year at Rich Stadium. Good chance the Bills go to the Super Bowl if they had gotten past the Chargers.

I remember LT used to do that to the Giants with TC and preseason. He was always suffering a "serious" injury, and his week 1 status was in doubt. Then week 1 comes and LT leads the Giants to win with 9 tackles, 3 sacks and forced fumble.

Tied for 1st last season with 16 rushing TDs. That is not easy to replace plus he helps take a lot of pressure off of Allen.
-
This is why I hope they can reach a deal as he is a big part of the Bills offense.
-
He isn't elite like Barkley or Henry, but he is very good and our 2nd best player on offense. I do hope the Bills and Cook can reach an agreement on a new deal.
-
I can't say I am surprised by this as he is unhappy and wants a new deal. It's only April but if this carries over into TC then we may have a problem. I also wonder if Beane looks to move him on draft night.

Lou Lamoriello will not return as the Islanders President/GM. https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=f42e333ea7018eb86e603a226cbfe9419b403b92f93752debac4fecf1ddccf2dJmltdHM9MTc0NTI4MDAwMA&ptn=3&ver=2&hsh=4&fclid=39432f18-80d3-69d2-2993-3dda815f6841&psq=new+york+islanders&u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cubmhsLmNvbS9uZXdzL2xvdS1sYW1vcmllbGxvLXdpbGwtbm90LXJldHVybi1hcy1uZXcteW9yay1pc2xhbmRlcnMtZ2VuZXJhbC1tYW5hZ2Vy&ntb=1

I give the Canadiens a lot of credit. They are a big underdog here and to come back from 2-0 in the 3rd period to force overtime was impressive. They almost stole game 1. I do think they will lose the series, and it will be the Caps vs Canes in Rd 2. But they made it interesting. As for the Avs vs Stars that is one heck of a series to watch between two very good teams. Also looking forward to game 1 of the Lightning vs Panthers tonight. That should be another good series to watch.

I would rather they go DL in Rd 1. I don't see the Bills trading up that high anyway. Maybe if a player falls that Beane likes he trades into the low 20's.

Here in the NYC area the media seem to think the Jets will go OL. Will Campbell (LSU) or Armand Membou (Missouri) are the popular picks for them. They have the Giants taking DL Abdul Carter (Penn St)

With Milano's history with injuries this would not shock me. I prefer they go DL in Rd 1.

I really hope he can fix the defense with this draft. If they can improve the pass rush and run defense, then we could have something special next season. You know Allen and the offense will do their part.

I agree with you. The Bills definitely need a WR who can stretch the field and cause problems for the opposing defense. Right now, the Bills don't really have that WR on the roster. As you mentioned fixing the defense has to be priority #1.

Anyone else still hate Bon Jovi enough to continue the boycott?

The frustration with Terry is Sabres related. As far as the Bills go, he has been very successful hiring Beane and McDermott to run his team. -

I don't even think about that anymore. Just happy it worked out the way it did with the Pegula's and how they played a major role in getting the new stadium built which secures the Bills future in WNY. Also, the hiring of McDermott and Beane which has given us a nice winning stretch of football in the Allen era. Hoping they can finally bring a championship to WNY soon as this fanbase deserves one. -
Getting a WR who can stretch the field would definitely be nice and I do expect Beane to draft one but until they fix the defense they will never get to a Super Bowl much less win one. We see it year after year especially in the playoffs. The defense gets exposed by good offenses with good QB's

I remember screaming at the TV to run the ball more. Thurman was having a great game that day. He should have gotten the ball more. If he did, then I am sure the Bills would have won. If nothing else the Giants would have had to make adjustments to stop him and that could have opened things up more in the passing game.
-
Exactly. So close in that game and not just with the missed FG at the end. When Hostetler got sacked in the endzone by Smith and held onto the ball for a safety. If he fumbles there, then 12-3 could have been 17-3 if the Bills recovered. Then in the 2nd half a Giants receiver (forgot who) breaks 5 or 6 tackles for a first down and they eventually score to get back in the game. That was and still is the most painful loss in Bills history. Nothing comes close not even 13 seconds or MCM.
