Re Al M. taking Amazon’s money: Totally agree. Same reason why we see loads of bands from 40-50years ago….with members who are in their 70s and even 80s….still out there on the road. It ain’t for “the love of music!” LOL But at least in the latter cases, the music does bring back good memories for a lot of people even if the vocals and musical playing abilities have gone to hell. I never have, and never will, understand how networks pay big money for announcers….nobody tunes in to a game to hear the announcers, ever. If there’s a crap game on MNF, no one is saying, “well, they got Buck & Aikman, so I got to tune in and hear how they’ll call it.” LOL We watch games because it’s “our team”, or it’s a great matchup, or it’s the playoffs, and we never will not watch because of who’s in the booth. It’s mind boggling.

Earlier this week I thought somebody made a real good point when they said that all these injuries may be indirectly caused because these players virtually never go full speed/full contact in practice. 40 years ago in HS, we went full pads and full contact every practice, and I never got hurt! 😉😂

Only watched a little bit of the game last night, but just watched the 7 minute highlight reel and you’re absolutely right about Al M. He sounds terrible…nothing like how he used to be just a few years ago. On the one Saints TD, he didn’t even call it a TD in real time because he thought the receiver stepped OOB at the one….the video showed that the guy was nowhere near being OOB (even as it happened live)….and finally he said, “they’re now ruling it a TD.” LOL I’m sad to post this because he definitely was one of the great ones, but it is over, and he needs to retire.

Are people really that unhappy with our 4-2 Bills?
Bob Jones replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hope you're wrong, but if I was a betting person, I'd bet that you're correct. -
Even if the NFL allowed it, and all indications says that they do not, I guarantee that none of the billionaire owners ever want the inmates running the asylum, in any way, shape, or form. 😉

Is today April 1st? Is this a joke? Flag football in the Olympics?! If it’s real, I’m LMAO.

NFL wants to eliminate "hip drop" tackles
Bob Jones replied to BaaadThingsMan's topic in The Stadium Wall
He even gave him the taunt afterwards. THROW THE FLAG! 🙄😂 -
What kind of football background do you have?
Bob Jones replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall
If it's on a leather glove or a Bruno Magli shoe, that would be a very valuable item! -

Have the NFL/CFL players been outed yet? -
NFL wants to eliminate "hip drop" tackles
Bob Jones replied to BaaadThingsMan's topic in The Stadium Wall
First off, if the NFL was serious about player safety, the very first thing they would do is eliminate Thursday night games, and overseas games. Secondly, as others have stated, artificial turf needs to go. On this topic, honestly, I don’t see this type of tackle very often. Even in the clip somebody posted up of JA17 getting tackled, it’s nowhere near the deliberate throwing of the body on JA17's legs as is demonstrated in that rugby video. IMO, I very often see smaller players come flying in, head or shoulders first, going low at the knee level to bring down a larger man....that happens frequently, and probably is the only way to get the guy down. I also see the latter technique used against receivers all the time. Btw, how many players can make a "form tackle" on Derick Henry? 🤔😂 -
is two deep the blueprint on how to beat the Bills?
Bob Jones replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
The play analyzed starting at 6:00 minutes is just mind boggling. The Bills receiver running a straight route in the middle of the field is 20 yards downfield with a defender 10 yards behind him (who is not even paying attention to him, and he sees that as he turns back to look at JA17), and another defender 10 yards in front of him, yet he keeps running toward the defender in front of him! Are they not coached that when they are given that much free space just to stop, turn around, and sit there and wait for the minimum 20 yard completion? Seems like the latter would be common sense even if not coached to do so, but I’m not a professional NFL receiver, so what do I know? 🙄 -
Obviously, you’ve watched “The Longest Yard” too many times…the original, with Bert Reynolds. 😂

IF Allen Tried to Force His Way Out of Buffalo...
Bob Jones replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall
It definitely would be the biggest FU by one person to a loyal fan base since Lebron left Cleveland. Anything is possible, I suppose. -
McD and Daboll hate each other probably 🤣
Bob Jones replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
So there’s Daboll, and who is the other competent person? 🤔😂 -
Forgot to mention in my earlier post that JA17 still has a ways to go before he is able to properly read the field….like Brady, Brees, or P Manning could….and make a throw to the “best” option. This video analysis makes that abundantly clear. This is sort of surprising since he’s in his what, 6th year? But it is what it is; the tape doesn’t lie.

Really enjoyed watching this. IMHO, the guy does a great job explaining how & why the Bills offense is so inept. And yes, it is also noted that the Giants defense did a really good job, but I think the schemes, and subsequently, the plays, by the Bills are garbage. They definitely need to bring in an offensive guru who won't put 3 receivers in a 10 yard circle, for one.

The biggest blunder of the game IMO
Bob Jones replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Houston loss in 2019, the 13 second disaster in 2021, the total no show vs the Bengals last year….as has been said about a million times in this forum now, he’s just not the guy to get the Bills over the hump. You seem to be intimating here that fans should be proud of the job that McD (and the Bills) did last night, which is totally astounding. They looked like crap and were as lucky as one can get to walk away with a W. -
The biggest blunder of the game IMO
Bob Jones replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Totally agree with the OP, but was not surprised that McClappy made the wrong choice….he does that often. 😉 And that was after punting in the first half from just about the same spot on the field! It was a cold night where Bass had already missed from 50+ yards. In any case, the Giants were going to have to score a TD. Yes if the FG was made, they would have to have scored a TD + a 2pt conversion to tie the game. The smarter play was to kick the punt and pin them back close to the 10 and let the defense take care of Tyrod & the Giants. And as already mentioned, the Bills should have run on 3rd down and forced NY to use their last TO. The Bills were unbelievably lucky in the end to have walked away with the W there. -
Haven’t seen anybody talk about the punting in this game. Were Martin’s punts into the wind and/or did he have any short field punts? He averaged only 42.3 yards for 3 punts while the Giants guy averaged 50.5 for 4 punts. Time to call the Punt God? 🤔😂

Expectations of perfection are hampering this team.
Bob Jones replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall
As long as McClappy is at the helm, I don’t think they ever will be. To the OP: the thread title is absurd and LAUGHABLE. It’s NOT Expectations of Perfection that are hampering this team Here are the real things that are hampering this team, and anybody who has watched NFL football for even a few years knows it: 1) Poor coaching on basic football skills/techniques, time management, and proper use of available personnel 2) Poor Play Calling 3) Poor execution by players 4) Weak minds by players (No “Fire in the Belly” to win) 5) And of course, Injuries to Key players If they somehow back in to the playoffs, and make it past one game, I will be shocked. PS - The color of the uniforms has NOTHING to do with anything. Get real. -
Yes, the uniforms were the problem. Also, I heard that JA17 forgot to tuck his rabbit’s foot in his pants. 🙄😂
-
Uh huh, that’s what was said after LAST WEEK’S debacle too.
-
I’m guessing it’s already been said in here, but this team is not who we thought they were. Maybe get in as a Wildcard…..maybe.

NY Giants @ Buffalo Bills - SNF 1st half game thread
Bob Jones replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Have to get up at 5:20am, guess I should just go to bed at halftime and check to see who won in the morning. This is pitiful. This team has a LOT of improving to do just to even make the playoffs. -

Came close to taunting at the end of the play....standing over Tyrod and looked down at him. Why are they so UNDISCIPLINED?
