This was discussed earlier in the week. The Bills actually based it on "science." They had a guy, and I assume other folks too, study what works best.

You must have not read any of the Post leading up to this game all week long, as many people in here...who travel overseas...were saying it made no difference, and the bills would be ready.

But loads of TBD "experts", who are world travelers, told us it would be no problem! 🤷‍♂️

I wonder how much "say" the teams have in determining who goes overseas?

When I was a kid, I envisioned my self as Butkus whenever I was on defense…playing in the yard with neighborhood friends, playing Little Loop football in the south towns, and playing high school football. I never grew big or strong enough to make my dreams come true of playing on a higher level, but at those low levels, whenever I moved in for a tackle, I always had in my mind “Butkus for the Stop!”, and tried to use vicious aggression, just like he did. LOL He definitely was one of a kind.

I have an app on my phone that can read sound levels (in decibels). Surely some folks in the crowd have a similar app?

The OP’s rant is a pure “homer” post. It’s just another post by a Bills fan with blinders on. Yes, JA17 is an excellent player with the potential to be one of the best ever, but he’s not there yet. The truth is that there are a handful of other QBs in the league who also can perform “magic” just as well as JA17 can, and they have areas of their game that are better/stronger than JA. Go peruse their fan message boards and you will see the same type of posts about THEIR QBs, but you’ll probably tell me that they’re wrong, and Bills fans are correct, right? LOL Mahomes, Hurts, and Herbert are just a few who immediately come to mind. A healthy Rodgers is another one. Edit to Add: Should have Lamar Jackson on here too (if he’s 100% healthy). I hope that JA17 does become one of the best ever, and does help to bring the Lombardi trophy to WNY. I’ve been a fan for 50+ years so I am just as desperate as ANYBODY to see the Bills win a SB. But I’m also a rational person, so that’s why I posted an eye roll. 😉

So you're comparing the average Joe businessman who may go on MANY road trips away from home, to NFL players who are doing this FOR THE FIRST TIME, and likely, the ONLY TIME (highly doubt they will make the same team do it again anytime soon). OK. 🙄 And btw, I personally have done many 2-week road trips over the years, and there are many variables which determine whether the trip is enjoyable or not. As I said in another post in this thread, it's definitely more likely to be enjoyable if you have your wife/SO with you, and I'm quite certain that most of the Jags have their SOs with them.

I guess that players with school age kids and wives/significant others have to leave them behind, but I’m pretty sure that players with wives and girlfriends (with no kids) pay for their travel to London so they don’t have to endure a 2-week separation. I would be shocked if the Jags organization told their players (and staff) that they couldn’t see their partners for the two weeks that they’re over there. They certainly couldn’t restrict any private citizen (wives/SOs) from traveling to London, and I don’t think that they could lock players up/restrict their movements during their free time during their 2 weeks over there. And I’m sure that the beds they’re sleeping in are quite comfortable, and of course the food is likely top notch, as is probably everything else. Some of y’all in here are acting like the Jags are locked up in a Gulag, in solitary confinement, sleeping on wooden beds. LOL Teams who play in the Super Bowl do the same thing for about 8-10 days, don’t they? LOTS of people cannot get regular sleep, or any sleep, on an airplane. I’m one of those people. Of course, an airplane seat is nowhere near as comfortable as a bed.

Just spitballing it...I would have thought they'd go over Sunday night or first thing Monday morning. More time to adjust for tme difference. Maybe they had no place to set up shop and practice Tues-Sat?

Disagree. To Bills Mafia, he’s “family”, so he should expect it. Also, it sort of “goes with the job.” Yes, he’s not a player, but again, to MANY in the Bills’ Mafia, he is no different than a player.

This whole TS adulation by the tv networks that cover the NFL is both laughable and sickening. IMHO, it will backfire on them, as real fans are very sick of it. The latter seems obvious, no?

I used to love watching John McLaughlin rip into his panelists on that show back in the day! “WRONG, Eleanor!!!” LOL Like many posters in here, I agree that virtually ALL of the talking sports heads out there are pretty much worthless. It’s mind boggling how much money some of these people are paid. LOADS of people right here on this board are way more intelligent (re NFL football) than 99% of the so-called “experts.”
