  1. I mean…he’d prolly give JA a reach around in the shower! 😀
  2. The Debby Downer in me sees this team going 9-8 or 10-7. We have sh$t injury luck yet again and the “defense” gives up a league record 46.1 ppg.
  3. So much for trying to trade him for a 7th rounder
  4. Plus… since Beane likes to do his shopping at the Twin Fair/Gold Circle of NFL teams, this seems like an obvious move!
  5. Agreed...I'm hoping preseason was just a mirage and everything just corrects itself. I feel the offense will be fine, but will take a few game to shake off the rust. The only way this team makes it back to the AFCG is if injuries are at a minimum. The defensive backfield gives me the heebie-jeebies. The defense without injuries will easily give up 25-30 points per game.
  6. Biggest concern is their defensive backfield vs our receiver group. Even if Shakir is a go, they will be man to man all night long and can bring an extra backer and still have a spy on JA.
  7. I would love to see it. I think it could work as a change of pace for a few series or a quarter, maybe two. NFL defenses would eventually figure out how to stop it. I mean, Army and Navy run over, through and around most schools they play against and they have substandard athletes on offense. So, why not?!?!
  8. You’re not wrong. Defense was always going to be a problem even before the injuries. This defensive “guru” of a head coach is wasting JA’s prime years
  9. Maybe they're bringing him back as a FS!!
  10. Relatively poor drafting on the defensive side of the ball has crippled this defense. The way Chicago's 2nd & 3rd teamers beat the crap out of ours is a clear indication that we don't have the athletes for whatever the hell scheme we have.
  11. There are much bigger issues on the other side of the ball that they need to focus on. If JA ever gets hurt, we're toast regardless who our backup QB is. Our defense won't be able to hold anyone under 30 pts by the looks of it. Could be a long year if our defensive guru of a head coach can't get this defense fixed.
  12. He didn’t play for Carolina, so he ain’t on Beane’s radar
  13. I think it makes it tougher. Trying to decide the best of the worst isn’t ideal
  14. While it's not completely his fault, he is a "defensive coach" and his defenses in the playoffs have given up the most PPG in NFL history.
  15. Take RB Brashard Smith at #206. Former WR that is just as fast as Bond and then hopefully the complaining about not drafting Bond will end.
  16. I feel like he would’ve fallen to us at 56. Oh well I guess
  17. Sooo.... For safety, McDermott's answer on short yardage situations would be to have RB run full steam, head on, into a D-Line running full steam ? Yeah, no injury potential there. I hate the tush push too, but what would the injury concern be? A broken pinky?
  18. Why do most people think we have to add All-Pros with every signing?!?! We need camp bodies. Not to mention the cream of the crop of free agents are long gone. You get what you get at this stage. Focus on the draft from here on out
  19. Now, somebody in Pegulaville tell Kevyn Adams that it is actually possible for a good player to choose Buffalo over palm trees if the product on the field/ice is good! And if the Benjamin’s add up!! Now, hopefully every signing from here on out is on the other side of the ball
  20. He’d be a good “tush pusher”!!!
  21. I wouldn’t lay this all on him. Our general lack of a deep threat and the fact that the defenses get better the further you go in the playoffs are a bigger factor. Defenses basically have taken away his running game and our OC’s haven’t adjusted well at all. Look no further than 1-4 on the rush push. Bottom line, our defense gets worse and opposing defenses get better. This is overall a personnel and coaching issue
  22. Is this a rhetorical question?
  23. I am definitely not laying this all on the refs. We were out coached in every phase of the game. But even with the shortcomings this team has with the idiot coaching staff, the boys played hard enough and well enough to win. With that being said, that 4th down play just about nailed our coffin. We were up by 1 and driving. We likely get at least a FG out of that drive if not a TD. Plus take time off the clock and rest our defense. And if we put up 7 points there, the entire outlook changes. The ref on our sideline blew the spot on Kincaid’s catch. Then the same ref and the one on the KC sideline didn’t flag Chris Jones for being way the hell Offside on the 4th down play. Hell he was already grabbing JA by the time he fully had the ball in his hands. And then obviously they all blew the spot. Sure, we had opportunities to still win it after that. But it’s always a different ballgame when you’re playing catch up than with the lead. Especially on the road in the playoffs. I’m even more pissed at McDermott for not blowing a gasket (which he obviously never does and is part of the reason why we’ll never win with him). Even if he gets flagged. I mean so what. We already lost all of the momentum. Try swinging it back our way by ripping them a new #######. It may even fire up our lackluster defense. It sure as hell would’ve given the stripes something to think about down the stretch. Rant over. This is another tough loss to swallow!! 😀
  24. I was better until I saw how far Offside Chris Jones was on that 4th & 1 play!!
