This is rare but I agree with this analysis

Very true... We probably STILL would've picked Elam -

Side note from the same article from above.... In comments section of that article it was mentioned how KC traded up ahead of Beane to draft McDuffie and then we ended up with Elam. Our front office always getting bamboozled by KC -

Not only that, but a toss sweep to the short side of the field, into a bunch formation, against a sideline to sideline defense -
In all fairness, Vrabel never had a quarterback. You put JA on those teams and they would beat KC simply because of his defensive approach. I'd take Vrabel in a heartbeat over McDipshit.

A "Tush Push" to the right just once would have been nice....

Yeah, this one is definitely on Brady. I realize KC isn't using the "push" anymore because of Mahomes' injury a few years ago, but I absolutely guarantee that Andy Reid would have multiple variations. All KC did was put Chris Jones in the way and slant in that direction. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that you should probably try something else. -
He's a one trick pony and his tricks are wearing out. Don't pay him

Definitely a defense heavy draft. Hamlin & Elam cannot be on this roster next year. Milano didn't look great since his return and Bernard wasn't anywhere near as good as he was last year. So maybe another LB? Most importantly, replace the entire D-Line. Need to get bigger and meaner. WR is a need but I'd argue that Brady is part of the problem. Need to figure out how to scheme these guys open. Sure, we don't have receivers that can separate as most teams, but aside from Worthy and his speed, what did KC have at receiver? And they are ALWAYS wide open.

Agreed. Not to mention the other teams with high end QB talent in the AFC. Gonna be tough to even get back to a championship game

Stupid post… this is on Brady. He was severely outcoached by Spagnuolo. Name me another QB that would’ve outperformed Josh tonight with the sh$t game plan he was given
-
Unfortunately I don’t see JA ever making it to the Super Bowl. He will forever be sabotaged by poor defensive scheming & poor defensive personnel. Sure, our offense wasn’t their usual self tonight, but McDipshits defenses always underperform in meaningful games. Josh literally has to score on every possession for them to have a fighting chance

At least we signed Mike Edwards for just these situations…. Oh wait?!?!

Part 2- Another disaster by McDs defense in the playoffs
henry jones replied to RoscoeParrish's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree to all of this. The defense has been patchwork all year and has been a major liability down the stretch. As much as I lay blame on McDermott and his philosophy, the personnel is ultimately the issue. Way too small in the front 7. CB’s haven’t been great in man coverage. Safeties have been awful. It’s a literal miracle we’ve made it this far with this defense. Just all the more reason why JA should be the MVP. Take him off this team and we win maybe 4 games -
What % of the plays will we play 3 LBs on Sunday?
henry jones replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd take a that chance with Lamar's arm over his legs and Henry's legs. Hopefully they've been game planning for this throughout the year because their approach in the regular season meeting was NOT good, obviously. If they stick to the same 4DL, 2LB, 5DB scheme, the outcome will likely be the same. -
Broncos @ Bills - Playoff game day thread (1st half)

If our defense holds up the rest of the way today, this slow, efficient offense may be the only way to beat Baltimore. Play keep away from Lamar
