Bengals' Board Monitoring TBD
Sierra Foothills replied to thenorthremembers's topic in The Stadium Wall
The low blow was low brow? I'm tempted to make a joke about this but these days you just can't do such things... besides I'd be offending my own people. What's a message board without an unnecessary shyt-disturbing topic which detracts from one of the most positive events in recent sports history? See above. Thanks for your "contribution." Also didn't Ethan recently move to Ohio? -
Allen led all QB's in PFF Offensive Grade at 91.8

None of you guys took the bait. You're like my buddies... no fun. You're being unnecessarily redundant. Both boldeds are not needed... only one. -
Play Clock Solution / Delay of Game

There's already a thread on this: -
Yes, I'm not sure why so many here have blamed Beasley for this INT. Not only was the ball broken up by the DB but Josh shouldn't have tried to jam it in there. There was zero separation. As for the deep INT to Brown, I don't care what anyone says (including McDermott). I put that on Brown though again like the Waddle drop in the 1st quarter and the Shakir drop in the 2nd quarter it's possible the sun was a factor in Brown not picking up the flight of the ball. JMO.

You gotta love that the Bills were only assessed 2 penalties for 13 yards against Miami. A repeat of that level of discipline would be huge.

Allen led all QB's in PFF Offensive Grade at 91.8

Here's an amazing irony to the red zone INTs that Josh has thrown this year... Josh Allen's very first NFL red zone interception came in his 48 career NFL game... the 2020 AFC Championship Game at Arrowhead. That's a pretty effin' amazing fact... a very long stretch of games. I've been calling Josh a larger version of Brett Favre for a quite a while now. I often mention in the next breath that Mahomes is a more athletic version of Aaron Rodgers and recently I've begun likening Joe Burrow to a larger version of Drew Brees... Burrow's accuracy is quite incredible IMO. -
Nice of McCarthy to let Maher run onto the field on that 4th down. Humiliation therapy?

Yes, they just signed him as their new placekicker.

I disagree with you guys. It looks to me like Tre is improving every week and getting close to the player he was pre-injury. JMO.

Play Clock Solution / Delay of Game

I read there was a malfunction of the space-time continuum. Something about gravitational lensing... squirrel! -

Maybe an acute potassium deficiency, making a banana smoothie transfusion necessary, therefore causing him to miss the game? That would be awesome... throwing his satchel against the bench in a hissy fit and having the bilbo come flying out of it...

You beat me to it! In theory of course, shouldn't hitting the weed make watching this game possibly interesting? The anorexic metrosexual? Yes, with son Stephen by his side sporting the dejected looks of billionaires realizing that they'll never see another Super Bowl Championship. Yes, after some deliberation this morning my wife and I decided that though we hate Brady and the Cowboys that we'd rather see the Cowboys lose. Agreed. I'm trying to imagine a scenario where all parties to this game come away unhappy.

'22 draft class is really rounding into form
Sierra Foothills replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
As I mentioned in the game thread (you know that topic where everyone is posting but no one is reading?) that besides the contributions of Elam and Cook, the trade deadline acquisitions of Dean Marlowe and Nyheim Hines have really paid big dividends. McBeane are really doing a good job. Because he's shorter, people don't think of Singletary as a power back but as most of us know, Motor squats 550 pounds and has a great north-south compass... essentially he's a mini-power back. I know that's not satisfactory for some here but it is what it is. He's pretty good at getting those tough yards and I think he has an important role on the team.- 32 replies

NFL greed and when will you turn it off?
Sierra Foothills replied to Back2Buff's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was wondering if this was because they were playing a 3rd string QB or whether the fish really needs to fundamentally change their play calling system. I always say, vote with your dollars or in this case with your viewership. Boycotting is a legit action. You have an 86 year old MILF? Pics? Regardless this is definitely a first world problem. I would say that the early season games are not as good because of the restrictions in the CBA (which I'm in favor of). Fewer OTAs, fewer padded practices, etc. But once mid-season rolls along it seems that the teams are hitting on all cylinders and that the product is per usual. -
And that is situational football which applies to any receiver but the fact that it happened against DeAndre Hopkins and Justin Jefferson makes it even more unforgivable. This is at least partly a coaching issue. When the game is on the line there is zero harm in mentioning the obvious but important points.
-
And Tre White played his best game of the season and is rounding into shape. There's a scenario here where the Bills get their best CB play in the playoffs. To me the failure of DBs to turn for the ball is strictly a coaching issue. I hope this does not persist as an issue anymore. Look for the g__da_ned ball.

I played the Giants and was happy to take the points too. I expected them to win. Actually except for the SEA-SF game I took the points in all games this weekend including tonight's game. So far, so good. That was particularly unforgivable considering the Hail Murray happened to the same Buffalo Bills team only 24 months previous. Man was I pissed.

Belichick has said on many occasions that there should not be any restrictions on the use of replay. -

Which game are we talking about? Lombardi's Packer teams used to say (paraphrasing) "We never lose, sometimes we just run out of time."
