This x100. It’s why I’m about done with this regime and want to see a new injection of life. I was hopeful McDermott would change the defense and was thrilled to see frazier go but sounds like we’re playing the same old lazy defense and playing 10 yards off guys on 3rd and 9 instead of mixing stuff up

McDermott and Beane have run their course for me and I think that’s my issue. I just don’t trust them to make the right calls with this team. Too many bad coaching decisions and wasted draft picks. We have maybe the best QB and he might be the most unique weapon in the league too but I wish we brought in a different coach to inject new life into the team. Too many times we come out flat when it matters most. Hope this year feels different. I’m pumped that Frazier is gone, that was a great decision. Hoping to see the defense play with some physicality and less soft zone and laziness.

This is a lame way to view things. So he needs to go to the jets board because he thinks the jets will win? So he can’t just be realistic and share his thoughts? Do you only pick the bills to win every single game? I also think the jets will win.. not because I hate the bills but realistically we struggle blocking them and josh is always running for his life. Not to mention they can take away Diggs and I don’t trust Gabe to do anything but catch bombs on occasion. Meanwhile our d line can’t get home without Von. Looking at it from an unbiased point of view, I think that’s the matchup. Exactly. I have no confidence we get to Rodgers tonight.

Maybe McDermott will help change things that Frazier sucked at but how many times have we said “oh X team has a bad o line, I like the bills to take advantage” only to have the opposing qB relaxing back there while we rush 4 with our JAGs and get picked apart? I don’t expect much difference. Just have to hope that Rodgers and his receivers are not in synch yet.

It’s a good comparison although I think McCarthy is one of the worst coaches period. But McDermott does choke in big moments.

This. They can withstand injuries too. Even if purdy gets hurt, Darnold will still win the SB for them. Laugh all you want. They’re that loaded at every spot. Best player in the league at like 7 different positions. They’re an f’ing juggernaut. Told you all months ago to take them to win it all at +1100. It was free money at those odds. You waited too long. After that beat down today it’s not worth betting then anymore. They’re the prohibitive favorite now. They went from +900 today all the way down to +475. As a frame of reference, we are +900.

To be fair it’s easy for good QBs to play pitch and catch against our soft D.

Certain teams are just soft, chargers are a great example of that. Outside of Von, We are too. I never feel like we play and hit hard. Our d line never gets to the qb when you think they have the advantage. It’s annoying.

It’s pennies when you’re talking about the best RB who can do it all.

Said earlier I’m not putting the eagles in the Niners stratosphere. They don’t get to play last years schedule and the Super Bowl hangover of course. Niners are so damn well coached and are LOADED AT every position.

I’m not sure I’d put the eagles back there just yet. Their schedule was the easiest ever last year and they lucked out with purdy getting hurt in the playoffs. It’s the 49ers this year and then everyone else including us. They’re still +800 to win the SB if you want good odds before that tumbles big time
