We don’t know that. It’s a personal issue. His coupons could be expiring at Bojangles in Tuscaloosa.

I didn’t cast anything. I said if he misses the game, it would fit the narrative.
-
Questionable passion for the game, aloof, traded twice in his prime, Cleveland rumors of quitting on the team, etc. That’s the narrative I’ve read.

Do you know ball?

If the narrative on Amari is true, it wouldn’t exactly be shocking for him to miss Sundays game.

McDermott deserves praise for JA’s career year

Yeah? Never said the guy was perfect. -

I agree they are simple things. Surprisingly, 99% of the league cannot do any of those 3 things consistently. He deserves credit for instilling these principles as the boss of the football team. He lives by it and we do it. -

He brought in Kromer to run his style of football. He deserves some credit for that as the boss, no? Also there is zero chance McD is not involved in personnel decisions. Deserves credit there as well. -

Stop. You can’t give any credit to a defensive minded HC for anything positive on the offensive side of the ball. I also firmly believe Josh’s leap in playing smarter turnover free football is a direct result of McD’s philosophy. It took some time, but I think it finally clicked for him. McD has always harped on this negative aspect of JAs game in needing to play smart and take what the defense gives him. -
McDermott deserves praise for JA’s career year

Are you kidding? It’s all he has talked about publicly since he got here. He ALWAYS wanted a physical offense that could win by being multidimensional. His philosophy is who we are today. It worked. -

Yep and he fired him and replaced him with a coordinator who fits his offensive identity. -

Yes but it was McD who fired Dorsey, hired Brady, and made it a focal point that we would never get to where we wanted to go unless we could run the ball and win the line of scrimmage. -
McD’s focus and commitment to building a physical offensive line and a team able to run the ball has freed Josh up to have the best year of his career in a multi dimensional offense. Many on this board were critical of him being an old conservative outdated defensive mind for his constant focus on being able to run the ball and win up front. Not only was McD right that this was the answer, it unleashed our franchise QB to win his first MVP and hopefully a Lombardi. Go Bills.

They compliment each other. McD doesn’t get nearly enough credit for the change in offensive philosophy. He was bashed for trying to run the ball as being a conservative old mind. Not only was he right, it led to JA winning MVP and becoming the best player in the league. -

McDermotts philosophy of building an elite offensive line and reliable running game has freed Josh up to have a career season. He’s responsible for firing Dorsey, hiring Brady and changing the philosophy of this team to be a multi dimensional offense. Josh isn’t winning MVP without McDermott.- 697 replies

Josh has missed quite a few today. -
So that’s the thing. that being a low bar to clear is the point about how bad this group is. Gabe was a flawed player. He was closer to the 60th best WR in the nfl than the 30th here. Are we sure that MVS Mack or Samuel are cracking the top 70? The top 90? I’m not, not anymore. So really, it’s hard to argue that he wouldn’t help the Bills. IMO, having better players instead of worse players helps the Bills.

Raiders are open to trading Davante Adams
RoscoeParrish replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
To be fair, I am also hoping the situation resolved quickly because I don’t enjoy the “will he won’t he.” If Davante is a Bill next week, great. If he is somewhere else, fine. If he is still up in the air, I’m not perfectly happy waiting and wondering haha -
I think overpaying for Davis and not signing Samuel makes the WR room better in 2024. That’s all I’m saying. Again, see above. you are welcome to debate that all you would like. I know you are pretty well versed in the cap, so I know you know Gabe Davis didn’t get $39M in cash this offseason. He was affordable. He would be the best WR on the roster today. This is all inarguable.
