  1. I wouldn’t call myself perpetually dissatisfied but it is answered just above your post.
  2. What if Joe Brady gets poached after this year? If the offense is great, again, and the defense falters in the biggest stage, again, then would you rather keep McD and find a new OC, or elevate Brady and hire a new DC? Thats a serious question coming from someone who thinks McD is a good coach. Because that’s the inflection point coming unless we win it all.
  3. That’s because Peyton felt good enough to get 2. It’s the same way Marino gets top 5 mentions. He was good enough to win a handful of Super Bowls, he just didn’t. Nobody serious thinks Trent Dilfer is better than Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, or Joe Burrow. Exactly zero.
  4. I can guarantee fans in Baltimore did blame their HC and GM going 8-9 and missing the playoffs. Do you actually think there aren’t Baltimore fans out there saying Harbaugh’s seat should be getting warm if he can’t get it done with a HoF QB and the most talented team in the AFC? Do you think every single other NFL fan base is just like the pillar of patience and understanding to a fault? Do you know any other fans or just Bills fans?
  5. “Josh Allen wasn’t a superstar waiting to happen” =/= “No one believed in Josh Allen” Obviously, Josh Allen was very raw coming out. That was the knock. The flip side is the potential to be absolutely awesome was evident as well. The “boom” part of the “boom or bust” is what I would call a ceiling, which many folks thought was the HIGHEST in the draft. Tom Brady was a QB no one believed in. Dak Prescott was a QB no one believed in. I’d even accept Jalen Hurts before accepting Josh Allen as a QB no one believed in. The Browns almost took him at 1.1. It’s just not accurate.
  6. I think you are the one suppressing history. There is not a QB that is projected to go in the top 10, that goes in the top 10, that was a QB prospect that “no one believed in.” does no one believe in Caleb Williams except the Bears? Did no one believe in Jayden Daniels except the Commanders? Did no one believe in Joe Burrow except the Bengals?
  7. Allen was projected as the possible #1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft. No one but the Bills thought he might be good eventually? Do you understand the concept of “boom” in “boom or bust?”
  8. At what point are you making it your mission that McDermott wins a Super Bowl vs the Bills win a Super Bowl? McD is absolutely trying his best. But at some point, you have to decide if that is good enough.
  9. Honestly, the Ravens are up there with the Eagles in terms of the most top to bottom talent. As we see in the playoffs, it’s not necessarily enough to overcome Lamar’s playoff struggles, but Lamar is right up there with the best in the league in the regular season. Combined with them being probably the antithesis to our team’s identity, and this being their game circled all offseason, I really wouldn’t be surprised that they blow us out. I hope the Bills can squeak one out, but the Ravens winning by two scores seems just as likely as a Bills win by 3. Ultimately, it won’t really affect how I feel about the Bills either way. Even if we lose badly, if we see them again in the playoffs, we can be pretty confident Lamar will try to give away the game.
  10. They don’t want to sign JP to the active roster before week 1 otherwise his contract is fully GTD
  11. A whole generation+ has grown up with access to the internet and without an understanding of copyright and IP and moral arguments against piracy. It became socially acceptable to steal because everyone knows someone who does and has for decades at this point. How many younger folks downloaded music illegally off Napster/Limewire when they were kids? They are now adults. And maybe they don’t do that anymore, but they take the “lesser evil” and just illegally stream. Just like most things, the internet is the disaster and the cause.
  12. Now he can’t pat Justin Fields on the back after he refuses to throw the ball on 3rd and 12.
  13. He’s probably valued by Beane imo. I’m just saying, if the criticism of Gabe Davis is that he’s basically the same level as rookie Keon Coleman, who was good enough to start for us last year, there’s probably some value to him on the team in a limited capacity.
  14. 100%. I would also add that’s why having a dependable slot threat is valuable. You want the guys who can produce the peaks, but sometimes you need the routine 4-6 catches for 40-60 yards to offset their valley’s. If Gabe was able to get 60 YPG rain or shine, he wouldn’t be a 2 or 3 or 4. He’d be a low end 1.
  15. I’m not sure that’s true and it takes 2 to tango. the Bills may have said, “we don’t want to put the message out there that we are just a bunch of funny/goofy/unserious people.” McD and Beane want people to have fun and be themselves, but may feel differently about how much of that they allow broadcast to the world. I think there’s very little drama surrounding this team, outside of finally winning a Super Bowl and finally beating KC in the playoffs. Neither topic was allowed as a story by the Bills obviously. So it’s basically feel good UDFA stuff, character backgrounds on guys who didn’t make the team, and culture fluff.
  16. A lot of this stuff describes our WR2 last year, FWIW. less than 35 receptions, check. 50% of yardage in 4 games, check. more games under 20 than over 100, check. 7 games under 40 yards receiving, check.
  17. A very milquetoast season. To echo @BillsFanForever19, that’s by design. But sheesh, what a bore.
  18. Who knows, but from what I remember, Brandon Beane always loved Gabe Davis. I think he sees this as an upgrade to the WR group rehabbing on the PS.
  19. Shenault and Hamler were always bad. Shenault may be out of the league completely and Hamler might be too. Hamler couldn’t make the team LAST year.
  20. The topic before would have been regarding inviting him to camp as part of the 90 man roster. It didn’t mean he made the 53.
  21. I find it very odd that the prevailing opinion today is that this signing is a no brainer, but back when Gabe was cut, it was absolutely hated. Very odd
  22. Brown and Beasley were great FA WRs. the record since then is less that stellar.
  23. My suspicion as well. The leash on Shavers/Samuel/Moore just got a lot shorter.
  24. The cynic in me says these guys know where their bread is buttered and sing their songs accordingly.
  25. A reunion always made sense. Hope they don’t throw him 90 balls.
