  1. I don’t think any one called for Shakir to be cut. They probably said he may be cut, because when you are a nothing player as a fifth round pick, it gets progressively harder to make the team without proving anything. Which is also the case with Olofo
  2. We couldn’t find a competent QB for 20 seasons. Now we need 2?
  3. Isn’t this kind of the problem? They apparently really loved him in the second round, and said they almost traded up to get him, and with a MASSIVE need at S and next to minimum competition and now in year two of the system, he can’t even maintain being penciled in to start week one?
  4. By its very nature, really bad safety play is gonna result in longer and longer plays. I think the difference between very good and bad safety play is not as important as many other defensive positions. But horrendous safety play will actually kill you
  5. The best thing going for Mack Hollins vs Gabe Davis was that the Bills knew Mack’s sweet spot in usage. The Bills, and Josh in fairness, had a long history of giving Gabe a target share he didn’t really deserve to the team’s detriment imo. Gun to my head, who is better blocking and getting 30-40 targets out there over a season? It’s Gabe imo. But is Mack at 40 targets better than Gabe at 70? I think that’s a debate
  6. I’m not sure this is all true My recollection of Diggs towards the end in 2023 was that they just put Sneed on him and erased him. Back in the day, the gameplan used to be to put CB2 on WR1 with help and then leave CB1 on an island for WR2 IIRC. Thats valuable if your QB and WR2 can make CB1 pay.
  7. Very fun to head into the 2024 offseason with massive needs at WR and safety, and now, post the 2024 FA period and 2024 draft and the 2025 FA period and the 2025 draft, STILL have massive needs at WR and safety.
  8. Beane should go on WGR to complain about them complaining about the safety room next. Then bring back Micah and Poyer immediately after.
  9. He probably isn’t a HoF player. when I say elite, I mean top 5 at your position. Diggs was top 5 for most of his time in Buffalo. But he was only here for 4 years, and not elite for all of them. But he was elite here for a large part. I don’t consider him an all time great or HoF player and the acrimonious way it ended makes him not a Wall of Fame player either. Diggs is now past 30 and coming off an ACL. I think that’s harmed his ability to be elite far more than not playing with Allen anymore.
  10. Are we sure we want to talk about anybody associated with the Bills and how they do in elimination games as the sole factor if they are good or not?
  11. I think the stretch of his first 3ish years in Buffalo, he was elite. unlike the other dudes you list, his peak was relatively short. So maybe over the breadth of his career, he’s no DHop or Davante or Julio. He’s probably closer in that Keenan Allen tier below those dudes. But I think it’s wrong to say he wasn’t elite when he was playing at an elite level. 2020 Diggs was on that level. That’s jmo.
  12. Diggs averaged 66 YPG in the playoffs in Buffalo. He also maybe had the best WR play of the decade in the playoffs in Minnesota.
  13. DHop was elite longer than Diggs, was better than Diggs and is probably a first ballot HoFer. I thought the question was if Diggs was good. Not if he was the undisputed best WR over the last 12 years.
  14. Is there a wide receiver whose numbers don’t get better with a great QB? Allen had an MVP type season because he individually played incredible despite his weapons, with the loss of Diggs, being much worse. Diggs was putting up 1000 yard seasons with Case Keenum at QB. He was a great player.
  15. Elite part of the reason Allen became elite worth every second of his time here until the end
  16. Don’t think that’s necessarily true. he obviously had a down year last year, but he was playing for a 4 win team
  17. I believe McBeane LOVED him in 2020 coming out. not sure if they still love him, but the reports were out there back then.
  18. Like I said, the next roster Shavers makes in September will be his first. You can hope he develops into something, but much like other fan favorite WRs at the end of the roster, Brandon Reilly, Dez Lewis, etc etc, the far most likely scenario is he is out of the league in a few
  19. Hamlin is quite literally at least the second best S on the roster. He’s also occasionally a disaster. Its a real mess
  20. Every team that wins a game has to outscore the opponent.
  21. We ask them to every year sure, but they clearly don’t succeed
  22. Our high court judges and magistrates and viscounts don’t take august off.
  23. Massive mistake that will cost them. That was a legitimate scapegoat firing imo and Anarumo was more vital to their success than Zac Taylor was imo.
  24. How many of our playoff games would we have lost scoring 44?
  25. Not in this instance, no. your case is very flawed. No one is “looking the other way.” The NFL is trying to throw the book at Rice, and needs to go to arbitration to do so.
