There’s something contradictory about “Spags isn’t a significantly better defensive coach than McD” and “Spags is much better in the playoffs against very good QB” Feel like that would kinda be a discrepancy making one better than the other.

Yeah, he's a great player. If someone wants to make the argument we could have made it work with McConkey, I get it. you can’t argue he’s not a slot guy though.

Ladd had the 6th highest slot snaps in the league. he played in the slot 64.6% of the time. our own slot guy, Shakir, played in the slot 70% of the time. He is a slot.

I don’t doubt he’s trying to get better. But I also heard a story about running other coverages more when they drafted Kaiir. We’ll see if he succeeds.

His salary this year wasn’t factored into the equation for Kyren Williams. James Cook was playing this year on 1 for $5M. This extension is paying him for 2026 and beyond.
