  1. Beane did exactly what I've wanted the Bills to do. That is to pick a franchise QB and get him no matter what it takes. Whether Allen becomes a franchise QB remains to be seen, but they took a chance and did something. I'm tired of watching the Bills sit back and wait for something to happen. If Allen doesn't work out then Beane and McDermott may be gone and rightfully so.
  2. Won't matter where the Chiefs pick is. The Bills pick should be in the top 5.
  3. Unfortunately, given what is available this is probably the best for this season and maybe next. Hopefully the Bills continue to attempt to find the "franchise" QB to start next year and beyond. We'll be in the same position in 2 years again. No franchise QB, too much cap space taken up by other positions with little to no cap space for the most important position on the field. All cheer mediocrity.
  4. Start cardale, Get the highest 2018 draft pick as possible, select the best possible QB in the 2018 draft, move forward.
  5. Even if they end up keeping Taylor, they have to draft a QB in the 1st or 2nd. The QB position is too important to not take one high every draft until they find the next prospect to be the "franchise" QB.
  6. Isnt' the speculation that he would bring Mike McCoy with him?
  7. Give it 3 years at the outside. The team won't make the playoffs and Whaley will be gone. Although this is the perfect year to clean house. 24 FAs and no QB contract to eat cap space would allow a new regime to basically start over immediately build the roster they want.
  8. I've always given the Pegulas the benefit of the doubt, but they screwed up big time today. To throw Lynn to the wolves at the first presser after firing Ryan and the first to answer why TT was being benched was amateurish at best. If I'm Lynn, I would do everything possible to find another HC job in another organization before I'd sign with the Bills. Whaley at least and better yet the Pegulas should have pulled up their big boy pants and held the first press conference after the Ryan firing not Lynn.
  9. True. Yet he runs his show as if it is unbiased towards the Bills. He plays it as if he's an objective commentator on the Bills. Clearly he is not. He is bought an paid for by the Buffalo Bills. That's fine. Just don't try to make it look like your not.
  10. I hate to root against the Bills, but i hope they lose this game and pick 9 or 10 vs winning and picking high teens.
  11. What makes anyone think we win out? We've looked so bad I'm not sure we get past Cleveland.
  12. That sequence at the end of the half just showed every team what to do at the end of the game when a team is attempting a tieing or game winning field goal. Go offsides and rough the kicker.
  13. ryan needs to change up the defense then. Unfortunately the Ryan's appear to be a one trick pony. When their one trick doesn't work they don't have a plan B. This isn't the first game where the corners get beat on every play.
  14. The anthem singer was by no means perfect, but I enjoyed that alot!
  15. Every time a DB gets beat they always look around like they should have had help. Do they miss that many assignments or are they just trying to put blame someplace else?
  16. While they're on a roll let the other shoe drop. Fire the twins!
  17. 9-7 and that may require EJ to win 1 or 2 games. Ravens- L Jets- W Cardinals- L Patriots- W Rams- W 49ers- W Dolphins- W Patriots- L Seahawks- L Bengals- L Jaguars- W Raiders- L Steelers- L Browns- W Dolphins- W Jets- W
  18. I'm not convinced Rex can get the defense turned around in one season. Too many players need to be replaced to play his scheme and he doesn't seem to be able to adapt.
  19. Agreed started decent but went down hill from there.
  20. Rex has been fired, Frank Reich is currently the HC. Tyrod Taylor finished is the 6th ranked QB but failed to lead the Bills to any game winning drives. The Bills missed the playoffs again, the longest streak ever (I think), by 1 game.
  21. Granted the future at QB is brighter with Taylor and he may turn out to be that franchise QB, but very little has been proven yet. Given the importance of the position teams have to keep trying to find that franchise QB. One of the biggest reasons the Bills haven't made the playoffs in 16 years is because they haven't found that QB. In rounds 2 & 3 you're looking for that diamond, but you just have to take that chance year after year until the right QB is found. Mediocre with an excellent defense isn't good enough anymore to win the Super Bowl.
  22. They should be picking a QB in round 2 or 3.
  23. I wasn't completely sold on the Ryan hire, but I thought at least they were trying to get a big "name" guy and hoped it would work out. It hasn't. After watching the season so far, I'd fire Ryan in a heart beat. I don't like the way they get beat. The penalties, the poor game management, players taking plays off, the play calling on offense and defense, implementing his scheme even though he doesn't have the players to run it (it appears), Rex acknowledging he was outcoached in 3 or 4 games, etc. I don't believe Rex can fix those problems in the next year or two. The Bills can fire Rex now or they will be doing it in 1-2 years. I just don't see Rex turning this around in however much time he has here. I'm less inclined to fire Whaley, but I would bring in a football czar. Someone whose built successful teams in the past hopefully. That doesn't mean they will again, but maybe they're closer than someone who hasn't.
  24. The continuity of the organization is a valid point. However, I think it's time to let Rex go. He's fallen on his sword by admitting he is the weakest link, he got outcoached at least twice and the team follows his lead and isn't very disciplined. Will Rex suddenly change his stripes next year? I doubt it. Fire him now and get on with continuity starting next year. If Rex stays, most likely we see more of the same next year and miss the playoffs. He might get a third year, but there's no reason to expect that the results will be any different. Rex doesn't seem able to make adjustments in how he coaches, Prime example is this year's defense. He seemingly refused to adjust his scheme to the talent and the defense took a huge step backwards. Get the pain over with now and move on. Continuity is only good when you have the right people in place. Rex has done nothing to indicate he is the right coach.
