  1. I've thought since last year that this OLine is contructed wrong. Our beef is at the tackles and our finesse guys are on the inside. Until we put the beef in the middle and the finess/speed guys on the outside, I don't see this line improving its pass protection much. The rest of the season you will see exactly what the Raiders did. Send the big guys up the middle and overwhelm Teague and when that is compensated for send the speed guys around the end, where Williams and Jennings (not so much Jennings, but it does happen) don't have the quickness to handle it. We also need a massive guard with Conrad Dobler's attitude. This is the key to this team. Either that or bring back Flutie and let him run for his life!!
  2. Saving face. What stupid speculation that is. I'm always amazed that people conjure up this reasoning as to why someone is playing while the team isn't doing well. So what you're saying is Donahoe would rather see Drew playing poorly than make a change to someone better just because he made the trade for Drew. There is no logic in that idea. I'm sure Donahoe has an ego, but he get's paid to be successful. It makes no difference who's playing as long as he wins. You're saying he would be willing to lose just so the player he traded for is playing. Unbelievable. (Well...obviously not by some people.)
  3. Until we put together 5 guys that play like a NFL quality Oline, Drew gets a pass. No QB can run for their life play after play and be expected to play well. Until the Oline improves it makes little difference who is the QB.
  4. Not a chance. Not going to happen. Even if the Bills go 0-16. Donahoe has the team going well outside of on the field at the moment. The stadium is sold out, the box seats are sold out and Mr. Wilson appears to be satisfied. He gets a buy this year since he just hired a new coach and staff.
  5. Super Bowl WINNING defenses take the ball away and play smart. Ours does neither.
  6. I think the whole LB core is overrated. Spikes is good but not great. I expected to see him control a game with all the hype about him coming here. Fletcher get's 200 tackles per year. 150 of which were after a 4 yard gain. Posey? Why do you sign a 3-4 LB to play a completely different position in a 4-3? I just don't see the production that matches the reputation.
  7. Bledsoe is to blame 20%. The blocking and specifically the Oline deserve 80% of the blame. This line is horrible. Beldsoe is a step and throw qb, like it or not, just like many other qb's currently working in the NFL. How in the world do you do that when the center and guards are running into you 6 yards behind the line of scrimmage. Yes, Bledsoe should get rid of the ball when he sees things breaking down. However, on many occasions the protection never gets set up or breaks down so quickly he would be penalized for grounding multiple times per game. Maybe Bledsoe has lost it. There is no way to no for sure because he has no chance of being successful working behind a line like this. No qb can succeed behind this line. Vick, McNabb, etc. would be running for his life not running to make plays. It would be ludicrous to try to let Losman play behind this line they're so bad. Then the one time Bledsoe does get some protection the receiver drops the ball. Let's face it the Josh Reed highlite was his rookie year and it doesn't look like this year will be any better than last year. Run after the catch receiver's can't drop the ball, ever, to be worth anything. Moulds? He has a penchant for making bad plays at the worst time. Henry? He works very hard for 3-4 yards and a cloud of dust. He also gets a pass sicne the line is so bad. This team will get better when the OLine gets better and not until. This team needs to be rebuilt at every position. Let's not even discuss the defense because that isn't Super Bowl caliber either. Our best player is the punter.
  8. Let's face it. Henry is a good back, but nothing spectacular. His penchant for dropping the ball seems to be a problem again. He almost lost one fumble and his butter fingers on the pass caused an INT. Let's hope Henry has a good year, McGahee shows that he is ready and we can trade Henry next year.
  9. It's you. You must really have it in for Mattew's. I also listened to Matthew's tonight and you heard a very different show than I did. He spent all of 20 seconds talking about Flutie for a 5th round draft choice. Hardly pleading. He did say he would trade a 5th rounder for flutie. His prediction for the bill's record was based on their play so far and nothing to do with the Brown injury. Let's admit it, this team does look more like 6-10 or less than it looks like 10-6. Matthews does let different opinions on his show. he may not agree with them, but he does let people state them. In fact there was one on tonight.
  10. Paranoia reigns once more. Just wait unitl the black helicopters with the buffalo news logo on them appear over your house.
  11. What a joke this writer is. He expects Americans blindly support an Olympic team that the best players refused to play on, that the current players have stated if they lose it will be all right and have corrupted the American game. The Europeans didn't reinvent the game. They simply play it the way it is supposed to be played. The NBA and ESPN corrupted the American game and created the "3 guy stand around offense". Look at the NBA of Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and previous and you will see the game the foreigners play now. The failure of the USA Olympic team to dominate has more to do with the current players being selfish and the highlight shows than the American public not supporting them.
