  1. Thanks Gugny for starting this poll as it supports what I have felt many many times in the past (especially after any loss). Which is that the loudest voices on this forum often do not accurately represent the majority view of the fanbase. If you were only to read the posts this morning, you would likely assume the majority of fans were very upset with Brandon for his tactics last night. However the poll clearly show that in reality the opposite is true with >62% approving his decisions. Obviously, this leaves almost 40% that are unhappy, but it's good to see that the majority of fans can be objective and let this play out before drawing any negative conclusion. It's also really hard for me to comprehend how even a diehard fan/draftnik feels that they have enough insight to the players to be able to call Brandon Beane a moron. It seems that those who felt this was an appropriate comment just may have much bigger problems in life than who the Bills should draft.
  2. All I can think of after this response is Mark Twain's famous line; "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt".
  3. I have no idea what you do for a living, but I suspect you are not perfect at every aspect of it. People in positions that require difficult high level decisions who get >50% of them correct are typically doing pretty darn good. I also doubt that there is a GM in the league that comes remotely close to meeting your perceived expectations of the position. Of course Beane would like to have a mulligan on a couple of his decisions, but I feel the job he done thus far has earned my trust many times over and I fully expect the Bills to be in it to the end again this year. But then again, I find life is more enjoyable when you think positively vs. negatively.
  4. Johnson has played 1T, 3T & 5T. I suspect he will be a stout 3T for the Bills, but has the position flexibility the Bills love.
  5. I believe it's just safer for them to make a reference about someone that has never been a Bill. No emotions involved that way.
  6. It was the mother of the Oxford Mi HS shooter that was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter, not Parkland.
  7. You guys are both exhausting and nauseating. You obviously have the right to your opinion, but how about coming up with a new and interesting topic instead of just beating this one to death (again). It seems you just haven’t realized that Sean isn’t going anywhere no matter how many times you demand it. I also strongly believe that the majority of Bills fans support Sean and it’s only a very loud minority that is keeping this discussion alive.
  8. I'm not opposed to this idea as a option (not base). But we also we need a better answer for the times when Taron is dinged up. I didn't feel he was playing to his standard during some of the early losses and suspected that he wasn't at 100%. Cam was a decent backup Safety, but was picked on whenever he replaced Taron at Nickel.
  9. Not sure about that, but La Porta did have a really nice year. I really liked him last year and was hoping we could get him in the 2nd round. That said, his skill set is more redundant to Knox's, so at this point, I believe Kincaid gives us more diversity at the position and I also believe Dalton will prove to be the better of 2 very good players in the long run.
  10. This is good! Something tells me that DaQuan just may be in a much better spot to evalute this hire than ANY of the those that have posted. DaQuan doesn't say much, so I'll take him for his word in this case and hope that it helps bring him back next year.
  11. Scott, You're willingness to share this tragic journey with all of us has been beyond impressive. It's clear that your wonderful wife had a tremendous influence on who you are today. Please take some solice that this gift will stay with you forever and continue to provide you the strength you will need in the coming months. It's so uplifting to know that there has been something positive to come from such a sad event.
  12. May I suggest you consider therapy before I add you to my ignored list.
  13. I've reviewed the information available on-line and do not see anything regarding a 36 hour rule. Do you have a document to support your statement or is it hearsay. From what I've read, Taron just needs to go through a simulated contact practice without reoccurance of symptoms, as today's practice was only a walk-through. It seems as if this could happen tomorrow if required.
  14. My "Ignored List" just got a little longer!!!
  15. Klein has not been activated. He was only signed to the practice squad likely as depth insurance in the event that Dotson isn't ready to go on Sunday. Smart move by Beane to get him a few practices, but this does not mean he'll be active on Sunday. I fully agree that Joseph should be active for the Steelers and will be an important piece. I also expect McDerrmott to play primarily nickel and use #7 & 21 in run blitzes early and often.
  16. From my personal experience, this is not univerally true. It is very dependent on the personalities of the people involved and the level of mutual respect they have for each other. I've been on both sides of this equation and always it worked fine. In those cases we were both colleagues and friends, so there was clear motivation to make it work. I would expect the same to be true with McDerrmott and Riveria. That said, I'm not sure Rivera adds that much to the staff, but I know I don't want any part of Wink.
  17. And Ed is the only DT that is signed for 2024! I'm okay with WR in the 1st if the value is there, but it will be a deep WR draft. M ost of the rest of the draft should be used to fill holes on the defense as numerous key contributors at DT, DE & Safety will be difficult to resign. CB & LB depth will be a secondary need.
  18. Fully agree! My fear was that if the ligament damage was a moderate to significant ACL tear, he would likely need to wait for the broken bone to heal before having surgery for the ACL. I'm not a medical professional, but my daughter tore her ACL 3 times. PT in the first weeks after an ACL reconstruction is critical to recovery and I don't know how you do that with a broken leg. If this were the case, this could push the timing for his return well into next season. If it was only a MCL sprain, that would be really great news.
  19. Fortunately for most of us, Brandon Beane doesn't consider anything said on this forum as input to his decisions. I also am someone that doesn't enjoy reading the idiotic negative stuff (especially after a loss), but I realize that these comments come from a group that is a very small, but loud minority. The best thing for me has been to just add them to my ignore list as I have found very little value in most of their comments. Constructive criticism and suggestions are fine, but personally I hope Beane & McDermott continue to be the leaders of this team for a long long time !
  20. I think Cam Lewis and Siran Neal are fighting for the 6th CB spot, but there's no room for both. Cam has versatility, but Siran is a core ST'er, so it could go either way. Rapp could replace Siran on ST and should be better in Nickle, but it will be interesting to see if the coaches believe that Cam has made a jump from last year, vs just having another nice camp. Another point that I haven't seen discussed is if someone like Benford or Jackson could adequately replace Taron if he gets dinged. Lot's of moving parts in this decision! I expect Gilliam to make the 53, so there's probably not an OL spot available for Boettger. I also think Morris will be the 3rd TE, with Sternberger going to the PS.
  21. Based on his new 3 year contract and the recent comments by M. Smiley, I believe Sam is going to be our punter for the foreseeable future, unless his leg suddenly does dead. It appears they were very happy with his performance in all aspects of his role and I certainly wouldn't argue the point. Araiza may cost a little less, but the punter's salary normally is not a significant cap concern.
  22. I realize this all went down almost a 11 months ago and people tend to have short memories, but my recollection was that the Bills were very supportive of him as the new broke. Unfortunately eventually it became clear that the time and energy he would need to spend on defending himself would also require him to put his NFL career on pause. I would not ne shocked that they supported him through the legal process as they seemed to believe his version of the story. Fortunately, the truth was revealed fairly quickly and he can start the journey to have a real life again. This is all despite the opinions and comments of idiots like Mike Schopp that were 110% convinced he was guilty because the LA Times would never report anything that was not accurate! This thread is not about Schopp, but I clearly recall being sickened by his lack of professionalism and stupidity at the time.
  23. I live in Michigan and did the same analysis right after the schedule came out. I came to the same conclusion as you, but as I already had YoutubeTV, the cost was only $249. Along the way, I also realized that Sunday Ticket would also give me the flexibility to watch whatever game I was most interested in on the weeks when the Bills are playing in Primetime or the 4:30 game, instead of only the Lions. In the end, I decided to go with it for this year and see how it goes.
  24. In the very small chance that Hopkins was ever really in play for the Bills, this signing has zero impact on that becoming a reality.
