  1. I agree that NE isn't winning a SB this year, their OL is average and half rookies. As for next year, they have 11 picks in the draft and the most cap space in the league (I think). I don't think they're going any where for a while. Our window is still open, but they're also in it with us now like the Ravens/Steelers rivalry for the past 10 years.
  2. I'm slowly warming up to this.... but who would they bring in that is an improvement? I don't like change for the sake of change, they have to upgrade.
  3. They were thin at WR and had to try and rely on the running game, but this was blatantly obvious to anybody who can read. Brady should have had a better plan to use play action, short passes, RPO's, etc. to at least try and keep them guessing.
  4. Rooting for the Colts... No way I want to see KC in the playoffs again. If they don't make it, I'm sure we'll see them again next year anyway.
  5. I heard a stat that they only have something like 21 players from last years roster, and that all those replacements are upgrades. Bear in mind that last year's coaching has more to do with being 4-13 than the player talent, look at all the one score losses from last year, put that together with new great coaching and scheme, the easy schedule and it all adds up. Looking at us and them by position, by coaching staff, etc. and the only positions we can hang our hat on is QB and OT. It's not like they don't have mismatches in their favor either. I think they're here to stay, kind of like the division was in the mid to late 1990's. Maye is very good, and he's showing improvement, learning from mistakes like a 2nd year player and much like Allen did. That said, I expect the Bills to go into Foxboro and stake their claim to the division. Looking at their 2025 draft class, their number of 2026 picks, their huge cap space, we might be looking up at them next season. Many complain about the Bills this season, but seeing what's on the horizon I'm going to enjoy the rest of 2025.
  6. We're all fans of the same game, just rooting for different teams. Every fan base has its homers, they're really pretty much the same wherever you go (except Philly).
  7. Well, they did hit on this years draft class and FA's, also have 11 draft picks in 2026 and the most cap space. Vrabel is a great coach and McDaniels is a great OC. Vrabel got TN to the Conf Championship with the #1 seed and Derrick Henry, but couldn't seal the deal. They're not Brady/Hoodie 2.0, they haven't won anything yet.... We're not done yet either, a team like this can get in the playoffs as a WC and do some serious damage. If they win the Div then they get the Div winner schedule though, and we hopefully get an easier one.
  8. I think the Div winners are Buffalo, Denver, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis. So NE's immediate competition is KC, LA, Jacksonville. Even if they win 10, it might not be enough, the margin for error is small. The AFC West has 3 playoff teams by itself. They're relevant, so if that means "back" then I guess they are. They have to prove consistency though. If they win 7 out of the next 8 that they should be favored in, then count me as a believer. Not until then though.
  9. Agreed.... That's where they'll land in the power rankings this week probably. What is real is that they are improving and are on the up, they'll likely improve all year. Maye is looking the part of a franchise QB 100%. I think there's some battles with them coming in the next couple years. 4-13 was nice, but we have to move on now. At least Miami is still wallowing in mediocrity and trending favorably down (the toilet) 😁
  10. Last season the Bills basically had a gimmick running game that picked up yards because teams were so afraid of Allen and they were caught off guard. If they can line up in 12 personnel and impose their will on an obvious running down, that's the sign of an offense capable of winning it all. Allen will benefit greatly from that kind of balance and so will the defense. I think that's why Harris was signed and I'm sure we're going to see the effort made to get there. Whether they can make it happen is another story, but I like what they're doing so far.
  11. All true, but if Hoodie retires and Reid is less than 55 wins behind.... That might be possible in 4 seasons. Reid is not the picture of physical health though, I don't think he'll catch BB, but that will likely dominate the headlines every time the Chiefs win. Once Reid leaves, Mahomes might come back down to Earth and prove mortal.
  12. Belechick isn't on the hot seat, but he's one season away from retirement anyway. A year after he retires we'll be talking about when Any Reid and Mahomes catch up to him and Brady. NFL = Not For Long
  13. Elliott is veteran depth, that's his value and his role, so no reason to overthink it. If they had signed Cook, that would be different. As far as Mac-n-cheese is concerned, I think we'll see an improved version of 2021 and you can throw out 2022 due to a converted DC designing a Barney level offense in crayon, calling the plays and not having a clue. Not having a legit WR1 and a shaky O-line makes me believe Jones will have plenty of struggles though. The Division looks like they best in the league, until you see that all 4 O-lines are average at best. Of the 4 QBs left to run for their lives, I'll take Allen all day. All RBs in the division will struggle, especially Zeke if he's lost a step or two. I'm guessing he posts his lowest YPC average of his career without the famous Dallas O-line.
  14. Seems like an incredibly dumb statement, but I looked at the stats for his 8 playoff games and there's 4 great games and 4 that are meh. If we win it all then no one cares. If we don't then the negative Nancy types will get louder. Allen owns the regular season, but obviously we want more.
  15. Most teams boards are pretty similar, and the amount of activity has a lot to do with the size of the fan base. The Giants, Cowboys, Bears, etc. all have big markets and lots of talking heads. I like to check out the Jets boards for pure entertainment, its almost always good. 🤣
  16. Can I just root for the defenses of so that both QB's look bad? lol I don't even have a fantasy player on either team, so I'll just check the box score on Monday anyway.
  17. Thought provoking, great question. Every QB, every offense, every relationship has its own evolving dynamic and you can't nail it down to a trend IMHO. Brady had a true #1 for like 2 years? Manning had a true WR1 and WR1a for years, but he only got one SB trophy and that was a defensive performance. Chad Johnson was a true #1 with Carson Palmer throwing to him, but they never won anything. Diggs is great because he's playing up to his contract. When he stops then we make sure Allen gets immediate help from high picks in the draft. Thought provoking, great question. 18. "Hey Flacco what are you doin back up here?" Flacco: "I couldn't cut it in the Mexican League"
  19. Better than Paul Maguire! Or maybe he's the new Maguire? 🤨
  20. Typical of August... We will build on last year while everyone else topped out last season and can only expect to lose more games. lol Every single year its the same old same old.... When the QB position was neutralized, they beat us in our own backyard. After that we surged forward while they trended downward. When we played them their defense was beat up and tired, which showed. BUT! 47-17 is the new normal, right? lol We're going to beat them, probably twice, but 47-17 is not my expectation.
  21. "Is Mahomes-Allen the new Brady-Manning?" I'd say yeah, it is because the NFL wants that for publicity, and they'll push that narrative for everything they can get out of it. That, and it does appear to be THE rivalry at the top right now.
  22. Key injuries always provide pivot points in a season for every team and it's rare that they don't happen. Trying to predict the season is like reading tea leaves.... Last year is some kind of indication but seems around here it's always the floor and we're only going up from there🙄. Fact is, every year is completely different, injuries happen, and teams you didn't see coming end up making a run (2021 Bengals). As it stands right now the Bills are the best in the Conference on paper and expectations are high to say the least. As long as Allen stays healthy, the Bills will run the table and get home field through the playoffs. How that turns out is part of Allen's legacy, but I like our chances. 14-3
  23. Agree, just remember that NE went 11-5 with Matt Cassel and 3-1 with Garrapolo/other guy(?) because they had very good rosters. Jones is capable of leading teams like that to the playoffs, but the problem for him is less talent around him than they had. Seems to me Jones is set to struggle because they suck at drafting and not due to his own "limitations". Put Randy Moss, Wes Welker, and Donte Stallworth out there and the outlook is totally different, no?
  24. Jones is limited physically? lol, I love that one.... Is he more or less athletic than Brady, or maybe pretty comparable? I would compare his physical ability to the guy with seven rings rather than the "athletic" guys with none or one. I would say the Patriots aren't a major factor in our season because they suck at drafting star talent, we don't. Jones is one they got right, the rest of their drafts are why they aren't keeping up.
