Could be but could be a comment about USC. I’m assuming if it wasn’t about USC that would come out. You could be right but it’s possible you’re wrong. Either way WM’s TV career doesn’t survive this. Slowly the BB excusers are fading out.You should at least have an idea if you know it’s not this. TMZ or someone would already have it.

Yes that is true. For that assignment he was outstanding. Move forward, take the hand off, run people over. But that is significantly different than moving to TE or DL. Goal line FB takes not a lot of time or technique/ adaptability. Complete position changes in the NFL are rare. And if done generally involve a undrafted FA. So it doesn’t really work like that.

I’ll buy everything but TE#2 over the needed improvement of the RT position.

What does the conference have to do with it ? Plenty of examples of great lbs have come from the PAC conference. USC for example. If you want to discuss his skills vs Bills system or needs that’s fine. But he’s certainly played very competitive football. -

Yes for both Poyer and Hyde. If Damar comes back we now have 2 solid back ups. -

Wondering if anyone can find positive fan posts about this guy. From what I’ve read this is an excellent signing. -

Good depth signing. With 2 great but aging starters and Damar in some question this in a good move. We saw in particular when we had to go to JJ at S 4 we needed to improve. -
Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
QLBillsFan replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes agree that I think they prefer to keep him. He’s certainly good and it’s not impossible that he can lead them to the SB. The QB desert is real and the Ravens would be set back if he goes. It remains to be seen how long that set back is. -

If an owner felt he was worth it they would give it to him. Of course the NFL is in control. The Browns Watson contract was irresponsible and foolish. That’s not the NFL. Mahomes maybe Burrow ? Josh ? Herbert. Not Lamar he’s just not that good. -

Actually, the strategy the Ravens are employing is smart. The non exclusive forces other teams in the NFL to create his current market value which they can then match. They gave him the 133m guaranteed offer which he didn’t think was of value. If they don’t match it they get 2# 1’s which allows them to move on. From a 12-14 ranked qb who has to some degree been figured out, injury prone, who needs an offense geared around his skills. That to me is the making the best of the situation. The Ravens will survive this. Lamar 🤷🏻♂️? -

Lamar is so much more challenging to coach. Rodgers w his hand picked OC will be set to go. Hackett post Denver disaster then gets Lamar who needs a very specific offensive design. Certainly better than what they have had, but it’s no automatic it will work day 1 🤷🏻♂️ -
The Bills should go Edge and DT with the first two picks in the draft 😂

Your points are solid. If in fact the teams were following the Browns lead. They are not and for good reason. The reasons on Lamar have been presented multiple times. If he thinks his value surpasses Mahomes or even JA he’s delusional. -

AM should give back the $ he stole from Ralph Wilson. The only thibg currently going on in sports is that of black athlete privilege. AM is unaware that the NFL has caught up to the cred and rev talent that is Lamar. He’s somewhere between the 12-16 best QB in the league with a downward trajectory. Sorry that’s the facts. And he’s made completely avoidable poor decisions that have impacted his value and reputation. MM doesn’t have the courage to speak to the current black athlete privilege that is overwhelmingly negatively impacting sports. -

The Ravens are a well respected franchise. I don’t happen to like them but they have been for years. They will outlast Lamar and imho they have handled this respectfully. Newsome is a front office legend and it’s a top 10 NFL organization. Oh it’s already ugly! RGlll trying to make his name 💯 support of players against the “man”. Lamar is over his head and yes the NFL is a machine. -

I think in each of these cases, they were aware of their market value. Lamar for a variety of reasons sees his value significantly higher than the market. He’s been offered a great deal that for some reason he’s not good with. Had he taken that offer I would have agreed not having an agent would have worked. But QB is the highest paying position by far and encompasses a certain “face of the franchise” aspect to it. It’s more $, more term, and generally more complex contracts. While the average agent typically gets 3%, he could have demanded 1% and I think someone viable would have taken it. 1% of 150m is a fair amount at $1.5m but keeps the high profile leader of the team out of the stress of negotiating. Unfortunately a lot has come out with respect to Lamar not being a leader. No further evidence is needed other than comparing him to JA. The two top franchise QB’s in the same draft year. JA hires an agent keeps out of it and continues to be a leader. Lamar does the opposite. JA signs a win win contract and Lamar wants significantly more than that (based on the idiot Browns). Most recently Lamar refutes any and all reporting about what he and his mom and non agent Francis are up to. If your a potential team what about this entices you to offer him a contract ? That’s generously assuming they are of equal talent. It’s crazy and really unfortunate. -
I’m guessing he’s the short yardage guy. Cook and Hines are the receiving backs. Hines in particular hopefully gets a screen game going. Bills have been bad at it on both sides of the ball.
