New Episode of Bills Embedded 5/20
syhuang replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can't really tell whether Rousseau was their trade-up target but the reason you listed is just him playing DE for one season. That reason alone doesn't mean Rousseau is a lesser prospect. Front office could still like him a lot after viewing his tapes and interviewing him that they attempt to trade up for him. -
Will we get Friday 5/14 Rookie Mini-camp Reports?
syhuang replied to Mark Long Beach's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The "first year" players allowing to attend rookie minicamp are the players have been on an NFL roster but have yet to accrue a season of free agency credit." Thus, Epenesa isn't eligible to participate. -
Broncos starting OT Ja’wuan James tears his Achilles
syhuang replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Broncos released RT Ja'Wuan James and likely will not only void his $10 million salary but also recoup his signing bonus. In the meantime, WR DaeSean Hamilton suffered a torn ACL training away from team facility less than 24 hours after being waived. He was more likely to be traded or claimed of waiver wire before the injury. Since the injury occurred off site, his salary is in jeopardy too. -

RD 1, Pick 30: Greg Rousseau, Edge (Miami) Public Poll Added

From this article: The Bills phoned Rosenhaus once the first round wound into the mid-20s, telling him they intended to select Rousseau if he was still available when they picked at No. 30. -

Allen had 21 dropped interceptions last year
syhuang replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just checked, “right” Josh Rosen had 0 dropped interception last season, I guess Bills made a mistake after all 😎 -
in 2nd round
-
Marvin Wilson, FSU

Does "right" Josh Rosen get one ring today too? Not sure whether a practice squad player, especially one signs to other teams during the season, would be given a ring. In the meantime, Blaine Gabbert does get his 1st ring today for his 16 pass attempts in the whole season.

Josh McCown for HC possibly in Houston
syhuang replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So McCown would be Texans’ HC and backup QB? One stone kills two birds? 😀 -
Not only the Colts games, Beasley actually played quite well in the Ravens games even though he had no catch. Ravens chose to double team him often, for example, this play where he got the attention of two Ravens defenders and freed up Diggs: Beasley was open in quite a few plays but Allen either didn't see him or decided not to throw his way. For example, in the play below, Beasley was wide open and would have an easy touchdown if Allen could make the throw. Consider Allen threw to Diggs in the same direction in the end, it's probably Allen decided not to throw to Beasley due to how the wind affected his long throw during the game. If so, I think it's a good decision to make the safe throw to Diggs. But Beasley did get open in Ravens game when not double teamed.

It's always nice to learn something new about NFL rules. Tucker's first FG hit the left upright, crossed the plane, but returned back through the goalposts, which according to NFL rules is still counted as unsuccessful. The spin on the ball does tricky things. --------------------------------------- Justin Tucker's first missed FG vs. Bills actually went in - before it didn't Using advanced technology to track the football, Lopez found that on Tucker's first miss, the 41-yard double doink, that the ball actually crossed over the bottom goalpost before moving back towards the right upright and eventually hitting it. So, why didn't it count? In order for the try to be successful, the entire football must pass through the vertical plane between the two uprights. If the ball does so, but then returns through the goalposts without hitting another object, person or the ground, the try is unsuccessful, according to the NFL's rulebook.

Anonymous Dolphins players: not sold on Tua
syhuang replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Right, but Tua was named starter well before Fitz got Covid. The original message you replied is below, naming Tua as starter when both Tua and Fitz were options isn't really giving Miami the best chance to win a game deciding their playoff fate.
