Watch Tua's every throw yesterday here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3A-q7UKWOA , and then reassess whether Dolphins are scary. Yes, every given Sunday, Jags game last year, etc, but Dolphins need better plays from Tua before they are in the conversation of "scary".

Tua and his sensitive fan base (JA17 Related)

Comparing Josh's TD pass to Diggs and Tua's last pass yesterday when he got out of pocket and tried to make a throw without setting his feet in the link below, not sure what Dolphins fans/media try to complain about. https://youtu.be/g3A-q7UKWOA?t=398 -
For anyone didn't watch pats/dolphins game yesterday but saw Tua's stats, here is every of his throws yesterday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3A-q7UKWOA To be fair, he did what his coaches asked him to do and he had an okay game, but there is no year 3 jump at least based on the first game. Tua is still the same quarterback as his was in first two years.

McDermott/Beane press conference 8/27: Matt Araiza released
syhuang replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Everyone has different interpretation so I'll give you that. But obviously others may have different take on his statement. ------------------------------------------- Asked why the team did not have follow-up conversations with Galliard or try to talk to Jane Doe after July 31, Beane said: “I would say we had the boulders of what was going to be accused or alleged. But at that point, it wasn't an actual case. And there was, one of the things you look at is, where is this criminally? That’s what you're trying to find out. And so, we were just, again, trying to look at everything. (Any) one of those things on there, if true, would be a no go for us. You know what I mean? So we didn't need all that. We just needed to try and put as many facts together as we could in a limited amount of time.” Added Beane: “All we were trying to do was use our resources in the time we had to put the pieces together and find out what happened, and Matt was very aware if anything was not on the up and up during our process that we would remove him. Once this became a civil case two days ago, it was very serious in nature, and we felt it was in Matt’s best interest.” ------------------------------------------- The Bills released veteran punter Matt Haack on Monday, effectively declaring Araiza the winner of the punter competition. “It wasn’t a civil case,” Beane said. “There was no criminal case. What we had was accusations that could come forward and we were still piecing it together. Obviously, 48 hours ago or sometime around then, a civil case was filed. We read through that and circled back again with Matt. Again, it’s a lot of things that right now we can’t close the loop on.” ------------------------------------------- -

That not all Beane said when replying that question though. ------------------------------------------- Asked why the team did not have follow-up conversations with Galliard or try to talk to Jane Doe after July 31, Beane said: “I would say we had the boulders of what was going to be accused or alleged. McDermott/Beane press conference 8/27: Matt Araiza released
syhuang replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just to be sure, is the part you feel doesn't make sense the following statement Beane made yesterday? Your take is that Buffalo Bills as a football organization, not a legal authority, should be able to get sufficient information to release Azaria before the suit and whatever Beane said about "trying to put facts around a legal situation, sometimes with limited information" is implausible? Or do you feel the part doesn't make sense is "obviously Matt's version was different. And you want to give everyone as much due process as you can" because of LA times article, knowing of ongoing investigation, contact by Daniel Gilleon, etc that they should ignore Azaria's version and shouldn't give everyone as much due process as they can? or it's the combination of both that you feel doesn't make sense? --------------------------------------------- “We were trying not to rush to judgment,” Beane said. “And obviously Matt's version was different. And you want to give everyone as much due process as you can. Again, we're not a judge and a jury. ... “I would say it’s not easy, you’re trying to put facts around a legal situation, sometimes with limited information, and so ultimately that’s where we’re at today with a decision." --------------------------------------------- -
McDermott/Beane press conference 8/27: Matt Araiza released
syhuang replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane was asked these kind of questions during the new conference. https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/bills-release-punter-matt-araiza-after-lawsuit/article_2a696b94-2648-11ed-8873-afd9d1a64e51.html Beane said the team did not find out about the allegations until late July. The attorney for the alleged victim in the case, Daniel Gilleon, spoke with Kathryn D’Angelo, the Bills’ assistant general counsel, on July 31. Araiza's attorney, Kerry Armstrong, said Friday that he believed Araiza had told the Bills about the situation shortly after a June 3 story appeared in the Los Angeles Times. The story did not include the names of any San Diego State players. “We were trying not to rush to judgment,” Beane said. “And obviously Matt's version was different. And you want to give everyone as much due process as you can. Again, we're not a judge and a jury. ... “I would say it’s not easy, you’re trying to put facts around a legal situation, sometimes with limited information, and so ultimately that’s where we’re at today with a decision." ------------------------------------------- Asked if the release of the 11-page civil suit brought to light details he wasn’t aware of, Beane said: “Well, they were accusations,” Beane said. “It just clarified exactly what they were. And at that point, it's a real civil case. It's not a, this may happen. It's something that you have to respond to, and at this point we're not the judge and jury.” ------------------------------------------- Asked why the team did not have follow-up conversations with Galliard or try to talk to Jane Doe after July 31, Beane said: “I would say we had the boulders of what was going to be accused or alleged. But at that point, it wasn't an actual case. And there was, one of the things you look at is, where is this criminally? That’s what you're trying to find out. Again, it’s a lot of things that right now we can’t close the loop on.” ------------------------------------------- Beane said Araiza’s agent was unaware of the accusations until late July. “His agent did not know,” Beane said. “Our understanding without getting into it is that Matt learned sometime this summer that he was being investigated, and that’s when he hired, I don’t know the date, but I believe he hired his attorney sometime around the time we found out.” -
“We did not know about this, and the league did not know about this,” Beane said. “We’ve reached out to I can tell you double-digit teams at this point, and no one had anything on this. These names were sealed, wherever the investigation was at that point. Yes, if we had this, and we get things like this from guys, you know how important the character and the culture is to Sean (McDermott) and me. And anything that would have been lingering, (Araiza) would have been off our board.” Starting at 8:10

How many trades does Beane make the next 3 weeks?

Zero? Like when Belichick knew Russell Bodine wouldn't make the team so he still insisted to trade a 6th round pick for him? 😎 -

it’s too risky to not carry a punter on roster…………except when we play Patriots 😉 -
Miami fans currently are very optimistic for their season after these training camp footages, it’s actually kind of like the feeling in this board in the “good” years during the drought.

OT: Belichick says that Mac's improvement is "dramatic"

Three years ago: Jarrett Stidham turning heads at Patriots camp Bill Belichick said Tuesday, per Callahan, that early practices are usually the hardest because the team's playbook is constantly rotating and expanding. But Stidham isn't shrinking. He's thriving. -

Is Joe Brady on the staff in case Ken Dorsey flubs it?

Please don't get me wrong and it's not that I don't believe you since there were rumors about Dorsey might go with Daboll. However, I don't recall any creditable source or rumor about Dorsey "close to" sign with NYG. Can you please share the link to it? -
Rd 6, Pick 180 (1): Punter Matt Araiza, San Diego State
syhuang replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
No, the argument is that it's a 27-yard punt officially and it's caused by a unblocked rusher. Let's get the fact straight and then you can start to argue it's mostly his fault that most NFL punters won't get partially blocked in the same situation, which of course, no one can prove or disprove it since every play is at least slightly different. -

As Doc said, we already discussed this. You said Araiza had multiple punts blocked. Do you base on the title of the video you posted, , ie. the "second" key word in the title, to make the multiple-punt-blocked statement? As also discussed already in this thread, the first supposed blocked punt in the same game officially is a 27-yard punt. As in the following video, it's only a partial block and the ball still traveled 27 yards forward. Thus, official play-by-play is a 27-yard punt. Furthermore, as showed in the video, it's caused by a unblocked Utah State player and it's not really Araiza's fault. -
It's interesting that Tyler Smith is not from Utah and is actually from Tulsa. Maybe the name in that slot was Devin Lloyd originally? Another thing interesting is that if the draft board he showed was indeed the real one, they passed on Cine who was in their tier one and went to Tyler Smith in their tier 2 instead.
