  1. This sounds like our old QB, who didn't do well without an offensive line. We still don' t have an O-line and need to address that first.
  2. I doubt Owens can see the last year of this contract. He will count about 10.2 million against Cowboys' cap on 2008. It's too high for a 35 years old wide receiver. Besides, Cowboys can save 7 miillion cap room by cutting Owens before 2008 season.
  3. Based on rotoworld.com, Reed signed a four-year, $10 million contract, with a $2 million signing bonus.
  4. How is this different to the original statement " trading a 1st, 2nd, and 5th round pick to the Cowboys and drafting JP Losman"? Bills got JP Losman (#22 pick, 2004) Cowboys got 1st (2005), 2nd (2004), and 5th (2004) round picks.
  5. Be patient, it hasn't been one week into FA and there's a NFL draft next month.
  6. and why does this make them not in Levy's offseason plan?
  7. And why Levy signed three players who weren't mentioned in your list? Does he not like you and not want to tell you his real plan?
  8. my 2 cents: Randy Moss - The assumption is the players are healthy. Moss and Walker both have attitude problems (Remember the feud between Favre and Walker last season?) Hines Ward - 30 years old do-it-all Ward vs. 27 years old Walker with attitude problems, I'll take Ward Roy Williams - 24 years old, His QB is Joey Harrington. Walker has Favre. Reggie Wayne - more consistent than Walker, who only had one good season. Andre Johnson - 24 years old, best season: 1142 yds, 6 TD. His QB is David Carr and his team hasn't had a o-line for a long time.
  9. Steve Smith Larry Fitzgerald Torry Holt Chris Chambers Anquan Boldin Santana Moss Chad Johnson Randy Moss Hines Ward Roy Williams Reggie Wayne Andre Johnson
  10. Did you ask him why he signed Royal, Tripplet, and Davis? None of them is in his offseason plan.
  11. Titans will pick a QB and it'll be Leinart if he is available at #3.
  12. for a 4-year deal, including a 3 million signing bonus.
  13. Titans will pick Leinart if his's available at #3. There's no way Norm Chow takes Young with Leinart on the board.
  14. or AJ Smith wants to make the Rivers pick not look too bad.
  15. These fans should ask Snyder to buy Washington Nationals so he can spend his money freely, maybe even challenging Yankees' payroll.
  16. This will be a good news for us. It either means D'brick, Hawk, or Super Mario will be available at #8 or some teams may try to trade with us to pick Young or Cutler before Lions. We can also simply draft Ngata if Marv couldn't find any trade partner.
  17. If Texans keep the no.1 pick and somehow don't pick Bush, the player they drafted will more likely be D'brick.
  18. Texans - Reggie Bush Sanits - Matt Leinart Titans - Jay Cutler Jets - D'brick Ferguson Packers - Mario Williams 49ers - A.J. Hawk Raiders - Vince Young Bills - Vernon Davis or Ngata Lions - Michael Huff Cardinals - DeAngelo Williams or Ngata
  19. Unlike LTBE, the NLTBE bonuses are not counted in the cap until the incentive clauses are reached.
  20. Bills may not need to lose few more games to be able to draft Young. Don't be surprised that Young is the third QB off the board and still available at our #8 pick.
  21. First, Moulds didn't miss 3 games last season. He only missed one game. Second, Lloyd had nine 20+ yard catches and three 40+ yard catches last season. Moulds only had five 20+ and one 40+ catches. Lloyd YPC was 15.3 and Moulds was 10.1. It's debatable whether number of catches is more important than YPC. Third, it may sound impossible, the 49ers QBs actually played much worse than Holcomb and Losman last season. QB ratings: Alex Smith: 40.8 (7 starts) Ken Dorsey: 66.9 (3 starts) Tim Rattay: 70.3 (4 starts) Cody Pickett: 28.3 (2 starts) Holcomb: 85.6 (8 starts) Losman: 64.9 (8 starts) Fourth, this is just a suggestion, it has nothing to do with "gloss over". Marv may even have no chance to sign Lloyd if 49ers gives him a quality tender.
  22. How about Brandon Lloyd of 49ers? http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/396021 With Alex Smith, Ken Dorsey, Tim Rattay, and Cody Pickett threw to him last season, Lloyd still managed to get 733 receiving yards and 5 TD , which is comparable to Mould's 816 yards and 4TD. Lloyd already played at the no.1 WR position at 49ers, against opposite team's best cornerback. More important, he is only 24 years old. He may not be the ultimate no.1 receiver for us, but he should be able to handle the job before giving it to Evans. With the 4.5M cap money saved by cutting Moulds, Marv should be able to sign Lloyd easily.
  23. Right, only the LTBE (likely-to-be-earned) incentives are counted in the cap. Also, if the LTBE clauses turns out not being reached in the end of the season, teams will get extra cap in the following year. I remember Vikings was awarded 10 million cap space two years ago because many players didn't reach their LTBE clauses. Vikings then used that extra 10 million cap to sign A.Winfield with a contract having no signing bonus and a big first-year roster bonus (only counted against the cap in the same year).
  24. No one should be fired because of the bad officiating, but the bad officiating needs to get improved.
  25. No, I voice out my feelings about bad calls. I sent mails to NFL and emails to their website. One mail won't do the job, two mails probably won't either, but when there're more and more complains sent to NFL, maybe someday it'll cause NFL to improve the officiating. You can be negative to sit on your couch and accept the bad calls. But there're still fans who want NFL games to get better. If you do nothing, nothing will happen. If you try, things may change.
