2.5 sacks in last 8 games including being invisible in the postseason game. Why they paying 14.5 million for that?

DeShawn Williams (DT) Expected To Sign With Bills
Back2Buff replied to Doc Brown's topic in The Stadium Wall
Did you even watch the games last year? Phillips was one of the worst players in the entire NFL. Literally watched guys run right by him. Dude retired before last season. PFF isn't a great measurement, but Phillips had a grade of 35 last year. Horrible. -

He's better than Jordan Phillips and Settle. Therefore, an upgrade to last year. -
Tre White to the Rams - 1 year deal, $8M up to $10M

I can't help but remember the mental hurdle the guy had just to get over an ACL. The Achilles will be much worse. Even his numbers last year before he got hurt weren't even that great. I can't believe how much money he got. -
Bills have private workout scheduled with WR Troy Franklin

Almost all he does is run vertical. In terms of what it takes in the NFL, you cant call him a good route runner. He just doesn't run enough of the route tree. -

He drops the ball way too much, and that was on display at the combine. I also think he is way too skinny. To me, he is just a deep threat and I dont want that. I want a WR who can run the whole route tree. That was the issue with Davis. -

I really don't like Franklin. He is my top, avoid at all costs WR. Him and Tez. -
I just dont think he was really what this team needed. They need to draft a WR high that can play on outside still. So what is this 8 million a year really solving?

Ricky Pearsall

I would love for Houston to fall in love with a guy and trade 42 and 86 for 28.

100% the right move to bring him back in. The next move better be the draft. One of the 5th is fine for a 3rd RB.

The last two years Wallace has been significantly better than Elam.

Arik Armstead released, signs with Jax

We need to get younger. Zero interest in this off injured 30 year old. -
We were told he was some special teams ace, and only time you would notice him was when he took stupid penalities on special teams.

We are so broke. I hate Beane

I like Dorian Williams and Spector so this means absolutely nothing to me.

He did not look good after he came back from the injury. I worry that 32 is just too old. I wouldnt have signed him, but this team seems to hang onto the devil they know too long.
-
I think he's terrible. Too small and always hurt. I can't remember a time when we needed to rely on him where he didn't end up injured.
-
Hoping they didnt just push stuff down the road with him.

Exactly this. The constant guarantee that people think they know about these comp picks drive me nuts. The NFL just awards them how they want.

He aint lasting to 60. My dream is to move back and pick up more draft capital. Then use that capital to move up again into 2nd. I would rather have two picks in 35-45 range than 28 and 60. I don't care about the 5th year option. If the player is good enough, you signing him anyways. If he isn't your not picking it up. And if he is just mediocre, the 5th year option is an overpay.

Ricky Pearsall is up to 39 on DJ's big board. He's my 5th rated WR. I think he fits perfectly to what the Bills need and what WR work best with Allen. Tell me this isnt what Beane and Mcdermott have been saying: DJ Big Board Pearsall is a loose, smooth wideout with outstanding hands and toughness. He is quick in his release and he understands how to change gears as a route runner. He is fluid getting into and out of breaks. He has outstanding hands. He attacks the ball at the highest point and makes some circus catches (SEE: one-handed gem vs. Charlotte). After the catch, he is quick to transition up the field and has the elusiveness to make defenders miss in space. He has a lean frame, but he plays with excellent toughness and competitiveness. Pearsall followed up an excellent 2023 season with a solid week at the Senior Bowl and should have a starting role from Day 1 for his drafting team.

Another case of this regime just getting married to a guy they have seen before and not going for the better option out there. Rapp was not good, and to put the cherry on top, dude was always hurt when he had to play. I don't even know how he fits McDermott's scheme. All the guy does is give up long plays.

So you think Kromer wanted to release Morse? I highly doubt it. He has to just work with whatever the bosses give him. He isnt a miracle worker.
