  1. It's interesting to me to think about where the NFL is going with the cap. We have to money to sign two high profile positions this year and a QB next year. With the cap increase over the years, we should be able to fit Sammy in without having to make too many cuts. I feel like teams couldn't afford this many premium positions before and we will start to see teams rewarded for drafting well, by having a competitive advantage of re-signing them. Fortunately, we have a GM who's drafting the right guys in the first place and we are locking up good, young players of a premium.
  2. You could also argue that there wasn't anyone else to throw to in Miami.
  3. It would be great to know where we stand with cap space this year and heading into next. I hope they don't do TT. I'm still too broken from Fitz
  4. The Bills are being really selfish with my time right now. They need to be upfront and open with me about their intentions
  5. I don't view him as a one year rental. He could easily be a 2-3 year deal. And lately, he's more durable and cheaper than Evans. I'm hoping he's kept at guard. Miller can sit.
  6. Damn it. Beat me to it! Don't let him leave Doug!
  7. Please let this happen. I'd keep him at guard. Having a quality lineman beside you makes your job easier and therefor help our RT.
  8. Correct. If it's front loaded, I don't see why he wouldn't see all of it. If he's cheaper on the back half and his talent hasn't falled off a cliff, I think he'll work out the entire deal.
  9. Very happy this got done. Not thrilled about him getting the 2nd most money, but with his age and durability, it's the nature of the business. Even if it's a 3 mil savings, that's a RG and big for us. Now on to Gilmore, which is a terrifying contract to think of Just need to give props to this one. Touche sir. I think he will if it's so front loaded, which is the beauty of it.
  10. I knew Whaley and Glenn followed me on here. Awesome job and great deal!
  11. To all the critics of the film and plot points, I'm a huge Superman and comic nerd. There were so many details of this movie that were straight out of the comic that it was impressive. So, what didn't make sense or seemed like filler time, was actually a lot of details from storylines that I found incredible. Unfortunately, most don't read the comics like that and those are the ones seeing the movie and grading it as such. I thought it was overall fantastic and understand a lot of the decisions based upon translation to film. I still didn't like Jesse as Lex, but other than that, they did a pretty amazing job
  12. I'm seeing tons of players getting cut this week and we should expect even more with the June 1st cuts. There is depth out there and possible starters at positions of need for us, but we are broke. I'm hoping that we can get Glenn under contract soon and free up some cap space to bring these guys in. We filled a lot of holes with the draft, but if we could get a vet at RG, RT, and maybe another Safety in here....that would be huge. And there are guys out there that are upgrades over what we have and at least serviceable enough until we get our guys next year in the draft. I'm banking on Glenn more than Gilmore because I'm a little scared of the money he's going to want after that Norman contract.
  13. Who cares if he's 30? If he can give us 3-4 years, is decent and cheap, why not?
  14. I saw that, but it's for readers. The show is past the book now and overall different
  15. Is there really not a GOT thread around the show? Tonight was fantastic. Whether you saw it coming or not. Just good to have a character you can really root for. I can't wait until next week
  16. This would be big for us. He's a vet, would be cheap. And we only need him for 2 year deal till Miller gets his act together. This makes a lot of sense. Hopefully a RT will fall into our lap with a June 1st cut
  17. You win. You 100% win for that post. 😀 Fantastic work sir And it's not about being positive or pessimistic. It's about keeping myself in check going into the season. I do the same **** every year. We signed X or we hired Z, so this year is the year to make the playoffs. Then we lose to the Raiders. Then we go from first to last in defense. Something finds a way and the crash to earth is painful. So, I'm happy with how the draft turned out. But I need to temper expectations, if only for my own sanity
  18. EJ has no problem pulling the trigger. There just has to be a Jaguar in his sights
  19. Dolphins 2 just for Tunsil and the Jets taking Hackenberg
  20. I'm surprised as the lack of OT's we tried to bring in through this draft
