  1. I thought about Cutler as a MVP, but also thought that was a dick move. Imagine what it would be like if TT had a WR he felt a connection like he did with Clay. We could even name him Sammy
  2. Does not trying to make a thread like this, weekly it seems, not put the poster in the same class as those being called out?
  3. I don’t see why more people aren’t focusing on the Ravens. All we we have to do is beat the Dolphins again and have the Ravens lose 1 more game. Is that really so unrealistic?
  4. Can we please stop with these “I told you so” threads? Everyone has the same chance of being right and wrong. We are the Bills. Everything is always on the table in terms of disappointment.
  5. At Green Turtle (sports bar), they have these drinks they put in these large bowls. The bowls actually look like large, broken in half eggs. My my lady friend and I ordered the one that serves 4 since it was for the whole game. The waitress said she wasn’t allowed to bring it out because of the alcohol content, but could serve us the one that serves 2. Well, it was basically jungle juice where you don’t realize how drunk you are until it’s too late and it stops tasting like alcohol after a few sips. To add to the fun, I also tried their second hottest wings. (Mistake!) By the start of the second quarter, the egg is empty and the winds are gone. I’m walking around the building at halftime with a glass of water in my hand trying to decide where to throw up. But fret not, I was back in my seat to start the second half. I’m not a quitter
  6. I wanted to make a thought about how happy I am that Tolbert got benched, but thought it was mean spirited
  7. Please forgive the lateness and general form in which this was put together. I watched the game at a bar, took on a bowl challenge, may have thrown up, and then had to wait to make the 90 minute drive home. Then I saw the end of the Pats game and threw up again. With that.... 1 - Tyrod - If ever there were a game of Tyrod being Tyrod. Great first half. Some great throws, some terrible throws. Good use of his legs to escape certain sacks as well as get some first downs. The biggest question about Tyrod I have is: What happened to his deep ball? At the beginning of his career here, his deep ball ability was second to his scrambling ability. Now, his deep throws don't seem to have a chance and usually end up out of bounds. I'm happy we are taking shots deep and I know it's a low percentage play anyways, but his accuracy deep is concerning. 2 - McDermott - Playing a Dolphins team that just beat the Pats and have looked good as of late, this team showed up strong. That was easily our best first half of football this season and the game felt relatively in control until the last few minutes. In a game where we could have done very Billsy things, we didn't. What's interesting to me is the aggressive play call we had this week vs last week against the Colts. We go from punting in OT with 4 minutes left to going for it on 4th and 7 and almost 4th and 1. I'm actually happy about the Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty against Groy at the end so that we'd kick for 3. It's interesting to see this guy learn as he goes and ultimately I'm believing he'll be our head coach for a years to come. 3 - Shady - 10k on the way to 12k. I've said this in previous weeks, but it's almost too easy to take Shady for granted. Our offense lives and dies with this man, so it should be no surprise that 2 of our first 3 TDs were thanks to him. When we extended him after the trade, I was worried about his ability to produce 3 years into the deal. I was so very wrong. Shady is the heart of our team, is a spectacle on the field, and I hope he retires a Bill. 4 - Before all the fireworks exploded Our conversations were so loaded, innuendo flying Now what can we say? Have a nice day Looks like rain today... 5 - Cornerback depth - I know that this will make a few people want to throw up on here, but we need to draft or sign more DB's in the offseason. Our pass coverage drops off dramatically when EJ Gaines leaves the field. Johnson is a liability in coverage and our 3 game losing stream occurred when we were down 1 of our 2 starters. I'm not blaming it on solely that, but the defensive play changes immediately. We need to shore the depth up here. 6 - Defensive Containment/Tackling - If there's one thing that worries me the most about next weeks game against the Pats and our 2nd biggest issue on defense, it's the poor tackling and holding to our zones on defense containment. So many big plays today were because of poor angles and bad tackling. The Pats live off of taking advantage of these mistakes and we will get crushed if we keep that up. I can't even count the number of plays I thought were stopped in the backfield only to have it be turned up downfield for a big gain. 7 - Pass Rush - This has been the biggest issue for me this season and I'm happy to see Frazier making adjustments. We aren't sending extra blitzers a lot, but it's more than we were. Our front 4 got pressure on more than a few plays, while also almost creating a few turnovers by knocking the ball out of Cutler's hand. Cutler's internal timer was going off all day and one of the main reasons we had our 3 turnovers. 8 - White - Is anyone else in contention for Defensive Rookie of the Year? I had very little opinion of him when drafted but wow. This kid plays like a seasoned veteran and I was happy he ended up with the game sealing INT. He almost made a beautiful interception in the endzone by reading and cutting on a play perfectly. No matter what happens this season, White is a true standout and positive from this season. 9 - Rivalry? - Does anyone else enjoy having the feeling of a rivalry again with the Dolphins. I know that neither of us are really relevant in the big picture NFL, but I love to hate these guys. Hating the Pats does nothing but make you drink. But you can see the residuals from the Aaron Williams hit last year. These guys really don't like each other and it was evident earlier. I'm actually really disappointed in the Refs for not paying more attention to the after-play action. We need to play smarter, but a lot of unsportsmanlike penalty calls (and blatant holds) weren't called today on the fish. 10 - Control - Two weeks left and we are in control of our own destiny. Yes, we've been here before but we weren't supposed to be here this year. It's been a very up and down ride but it feels good to think about where we are and what's coming up. We have a head coach, a base of players, a lot of picks, and money to spend. The BBFS in me says I'll probably regret saying this, but things might finally be looking up, regardless of how this season ends. All I want for Christmas is a Win over the Pats and broken Brady face. Go Bills!!!!
  8. What the actual !@#$?! I just got knocked out of the fantasy playoffs because I lost the TD and had it turn into an INT. !@#$ the Pats. !@#$ Gronk. This just ruined my season in 5 seconds
  9. That’s a fantastic idea. Put all of our posters with their anonymous “sources” in our own TMZ section.
  10. 50 pages....really?
  11. I like the money pit. That is my answer
  12. Great, now I’m cross eyed
  13. Isn’t this the same poster who had a temper tantrum the other day and vowed to not post anymore because he was unwanted? I’m taking this as opinion masked in “sources”
  14. First off, thank you. Second, I’m just calling out a few plays on the kid where we really whiffed in coverage. Overall, I like him and believe he should be starting.
  15. You shut your whore mouth
  16. Doesn’t mean he didn’t also blow some coverages. Rookie mistakes and I still like the kid
  17. To be clear, I don’t think either are great this season. But I do think Tyrod is our better chance of winning right now. Peterman will make just enough rookie mistakes to lose or bring Webb into the game.
  18. I still like the kid and want to see where he goes. Just calling out the lapses, even though I know people will think I’m just trashing the kid
  19. What a day of football! So many great games and more to come that it's been tough to pry myself away from the TV to write this. I listened to the post game show and seen some threads about the game so far with quite a few gripes about the game. Well, if you are looking for a Bills or McDermott bashing, stop reading now. 1 - Officiating - I want to start here because I think the Refs did an amazing job today. In a game where visibility is low, players are falling all over the place, and safety is a concern I was happy with how the Refs let the players play and gave some flexibility due to the conditions. There were hardly any penalties called and the offensive pass interference on the 2 point conversion was a great call. Even Colts fans can't argue that one. In any case, in a game where the refs could've thrown flags on almost every play, they did a great job. 2 - Peterman - This kid is a rookie with great potential. The question is, which is going to beat the other out. He makes some quick throws in the right places. He also forgets he's playing in the NFL sometimes. Between the 5 int half and his concussion today, I think he forgets the talent level around him. This isn't college where there are slower guys or dominant mismatches. Everyone can play. He can't just throw balls up and hope for a positive result and he definitely can't dive head first. He needs to realize how early in the game it is, who his back-up is, and how hard these guys can and will hit him. I get having a fiery competitive nature, but he needs to be smarter if he's going to survive in the NFL. 3 - McCoy - I haven't called him out much this season because it's too easy to talk about him. He's clearly the best talent on this team and boy did it show today. In a game where guys are slipping all over the place, he's hurdling players, making cuts, and showing burst. It was only fitting that he scored the game winning touchdown. It's easy to take these guys for granted sometimes, and I'm guilty of it too. With that, I just want to call out our MVP again, Mr. Shady McCoy. 4 - God rest ye merry gentlemen Let nothing you dismay Remember Christ our Savior Was born on Christmas Day To save us all from Satan's pow'r When we were gone astray Oh tidings of comfort and joy 5 - Weather - People are talking about the weather and how it's not a true NFL game in these conditions. On a day where Elvis' guitar broke and Eric Wood looked miserable on the OT coin toss, I happen to think that this game was the definition of classing NFL football. This was a game where you knew what was coming and you either beat them or they beat you. How many classics are in conditions similar to this? Even extra points were compelling. I'm sorry it wasn't a 50+ combined score game and passing wasn't on the table for most of the game. But I love a physical game and I think it's more rewarding for the players too. So no, I don't want a dome and I'm happy to walk away with a victory here. 6 - Dennison - Two weeks in a row I feel like this guy needs to be fired. His decision to pass early on 4th and 2 with Webb in at quarterback made absolutely no sense to me. Yes, Webb ended up our QB at halftime, but at the time, the game's momentum could easily have been shift moreso in our favor. Shady needed to get the ball more than he did and the Tolbert experiment needs to be over. I'm not going to waste my time giving Tolbert his own spot on here, because I'm just over it. But Dennison continues to make calls that make no sense to me and I'm hoping he's gone this offseason. 7 - Milano - I praised the kid a lot last week, but he lost focus in my opinion today. I understand that a record was set for rushing attempts this game. However, on a play-action pass where there isn't anyone left in the backfield, you can't lose coverage. He left the halfback open in the flats a few times and it hurt us. I still like what I see from him and hope to see him continue to develop, but he was probably our biggest liability out there today in a game where fundamentals won out. 8 - Punters - How do you not give props to both teams punters on a day like today? These guys were amazing on a day where footing was a big issue. The Colts punter had a few beauties and Schmidt did a great job of flipping field position. These guys had every opportunity to lay and egg without blame and they really stepped up today. We don't talk about these guys much, but today they earned it. 9 - McDermott - Like most of you, I was losing my mind when McDermott decided to punt with 4 minutes left in OT as a tie was the most likely outcome, thus ending our season. We all know how it turned out and winners can say "I told you so." It took me an hour drive home from my sisters to really think about this while listen in WGR to change my mind. We've won 3 games this year that we normally lose (Colts, Falcons, Bucs). McDermott has made the right decisions and got the play he needed where he's earned the benefit of the doubt with me here. Even in that moment, if it's between trusting my offense or defense, I'm trusting my defense. We saw what happened when Webb was required to throw before the end of regulation. Our defense is our stronger unit. And overall, he put the trust in his players, which I think will go a long way. Could it have blown up in his face? Yes. Did we win and are not 3-1 in games of 7 points or less? Also yes. Like it or not, it worked out and we learn from it. 10 - Going forward - Like every December as a Bills fan, we are mathematically still in it. The Titans losing today was huge and the Ravens need to lose. 2-1 is possible and I believe TT needs to start if healthy these last 3 weeks. I like Peterman and want to see more from him, but TT is our better option and I'm not giving up on this season. I think this game brought this team closer together and I like our chances next week. Sweeping the Dolphins isn't unrealistic, the Titans have two tough games coming up as do the Ravens. So let's enjoy the win today and hope to get healthy this week. *Bonus - I'd like to thank my sister for ruining the suspense of the Vinatieri extra point. Before the kick, she got a notification on her phone that the game was tied and felt the urge to share with the room. I was pissed. To the Pit of Misery with her!!! Dilly Dilly Great game and great day of football guys. Now, let's root for the Steelers and a Brady broken face! Go Bills!!!
  20. I could argue that this game was pure, original football
  21. !@#$ Gronk with the most STD infested penis
  22. This thread needs to be back on the main page again. Dennison needs to go....yesterday
  23. Yup, moreso than I thought
  24. I think he's done and I feel bad for him. He deserved better than to go out like that. But overall, it's time and best for everyone to move on.
  25. I don't normally support this type of mentality, but you are right. The fact that NO ONE threw Gronk's dumb ass to the ground bothered me a lot. He's a piece of ****
