I will never date a Patriots fan. I don’t allow Patriots players on my Madden team. The only team that generates any emotional investment for me is when I watch another team play the Patriots. I tend to have a negative opinion of anyone once they say they are a Patriots fan

I’m really surprised at the number of people would sign him. Besides being a piece of ***** for that video, he has multiple other incidents. Even if you believe in second chances, he seems to be a Gordon type that will find ways to get in trouble. This also just happened. Does anyone really believe that he’s not that type of person still? I’m all for getting good players, but I also want to respect my team. No Brady, no Hunt.

It’s frustrating the lack of elite offensive weapons going into this FA and draft as we are finally in a good team and cap space to execute.

I think this is a mistake. They are in cap hell and could get a Kings ransom for Wentz. Those picks could fill holes created by cuts or guys they can’t sign in FA. Foles has at least 6 years left in him. I like Wentz a lot, but Foles works for them and stays healthy.

Why was he your favorite? I’ve never understood the hype. Had a decent year in a contract year and then chased the money.

I’m not saying I’d be happy, I’m saying I wouldn’t fire anyone over it. It’s not about the record, it’s about showing improvement. You could argue we were better than our record this past year and worst than the previous one. You know a competent team when you see one. Sometimes you win on luck too. Overall, I give them one more season to show improvement, record aside. After that, I would expect to see playoffs or in contention each year. Again, I’d only expect to see a termination if the McDermott loses the locker room.

3 years is your average evaluation period for a new regime. Our first year, we overachieved. This year was about right. Next year needs to show improvement. To what end, I don’t know how to quantify it so let’s just say 8-8. After next season, I think it’s fair game. The only way I see coach/gm turnover is if they lose control of the team and start laying eggs on the field, ala Rex Ryan at the end.
