  1. I've thought about this a lot today. I don't think either is wrong. The point for any fan is the long term success of the franchise. Picking up to 8 spots higher in every round when your team is close to success can absolutely be a positive when for the franchise. On the flip side, the moment you let the cancer of playing not to win into your locker room, you could lose that bit of respect a coach needs when building a culture. As a fan, you never want to root against your team. For me, I would love to have the higher pick, but I'm happy to see Kyle walk off a winner. I'm a fan of the franchise, it's players, and overall success. Today, I was happy to just watch some Bills football and whatever happens, happens.
  2. I kept thinking about last season all day and my cautious optimism about possibly making the playoffs. While this game didn't carry any playoff importance at all, I felt good about today. I knew what this season was and feel comfortable with the progression we've seen from our core young guys. I also know that if we are in the same boat next year at week 17, it will NOT be okay. I was okay with a loss, draft position between 4-12 is a huge difference, but wanted Kyle to go out on top. With that, I just sat back and tried to enjoy the game 1 - Kyle - I watched Kyle a lot today and seemed like he got more than his normal share of double teams. I don't know if that's because the Dolphins weren't going to let him have his moment, or maybe I've missed that all season. I was nervous on his catch because he had to shed a block and almost didn't. Josh hit him right on the money and it was great to see him get the 9 yards. On almost every big defensive play, you could see the players want to thank Kyle after, even if he wasn't on the field. McDermott taking two knees to ensure Kyle got back on the field was true class. I can't remember a play since the early 90's that seemed to have this level of impact on his teammates and fans as he walked off the field. It was a truly special moment as he walked around the ring. I hope to see him return in some form of coaching capacity and even see his number retired. Maybe that's over the top. but I can't think of a player who has defined the team more the past 13 years. *After the catch, Kyle tossed the ball to the ref, but Zay immediately ran up and got the ball back. Those are the little things to me. First, that Kyle is just a consummate professional and two, even 2nd year Zay understands the moment and wants to make sure Kyle gets the memory 2 - Allen - Josh had a pretty good day today, but still seemed like the same old Josh to me. Hit int was a terrible decision. He had some great runs. He made some passes that were what we hope to see for the next 15 years. The biggest concern for me was his complete inability to throw a quick slant. I'm not exaggerating here, it was bad. Many called for this kind of play all season and I'm starting to see why they haven't. He didn't execute any of his at least three attempts how he should have. Yes, some were caught. But they were slow and off target. This is a basic weapon in any QB's arsenal and Allen couldn't do it. It was odd. Other than that, he hit Kyle when he needed to, accounted for 5 TD's and overall stepping on the throat of the Dolphins. Here's too a solid off-season for him, time with his weapons, support from the rushing attack, and a big step forward next year Josh. 3 - Edmunds - The kid was fired up today. I'd like to believe he was pissed after last weeks performance against the Pats and wanted to prove something. Well, if so, he definitely did. He was all over the field today with a sack, int, and some great run stuffs . He hit the hole with anticipation and authority. Kid was fantastic and gave arguable his best performance of the season. If today is a glimpse of his capacity, next season should be fun. 4 - Finally the door opened. It was a shock to see him shuffling into the room like an aging prizefighter, limping, beaten, but it was later when the great man squinted into the bitter glow of twilight and muttered simply, it means nothing, all of it nothing. that the true shock came it was then that the boy understood that his hero's true injuries lay hidden in a darker place, his heart. His heart once capable of inspiring others so completely, could no longer inspire so much as itself. It beat now only out of habit, it beat now only because it could. 5 - The Legend of Kiko - It's time for me to move on from Kiko after the incident today. There's playing with intensity and then there's just plain being a dick. You could tell he was out to hurt someone today and had more than a few plays that were unnecessary. I was happy to see him ejected after the play and it actually pissed me off a little when he gave his gloves away. Maybe the chip of the trade is still on his shoulder and I don't care. It's over Kiko. It's not me, it's you. *Who was it that went after Kiko after the play? People keep saying it was Mills, but I thought the jersey started with a 6. Anyone? Either way, how far we've come since the Gronk hit on Tre. 6 - Shady - It was good to see some production from Shady today and some yards beyond the line of scrimmage. Like everyone else, he seemed to have an extra burst in him today. It seems like ages since he scored a TD. He wasn't a dominant factor in the game, but was complimented well by Ivory who stuck to hitting the holes strong and fast (that's what she said). Overall, it's hard to not think that age has caught up to Shady. Even with a better offensive line, he's still not showing the explosive speed or ability to break tackles. I don't know what the best move is cap-wise, but we need to find our future at RB this off-season. 7 - Foster - I like the game from Foster today, even though he didn't have a huge game. His back-shoulder TD catch was something I've been hoping to see due to his size. Up until now, it's been all deep balls and curls. Speaking of curls, the Dolphins were giving him an almost 15 yard cushion. They were not go to let him beat them deep and he was the one being shadowed by the safety on the play where Zay was left open for a TD. I'm really excited to see what this kid does with a full season next year and believe he's given us one less spot we need to fill. 8 - Defense - After a week where they just got gashed on the ground, the entire defense showed up today and only gave up 10 points. They had 2 interceptions and dropped a 3rd. The pass rush was solid and while they bent at times, they never broke. Frazier had a solid game plan today and didn't miss a step when Tre went out with the head injury. Tackling was an issue for a little bit, but again, made them when it counted. Overall good game and I expect more solid results from them next season. 9 - Crossman - Last game of the season, last time to call for his job. When your coach doesn't know his kicker is too injured to make a 45 yard field goal, there's a problem. We still have Hyde fair catching punts. The unit is just a mess and I hope McDermott does what's necessary 10 - The Organization - As I'm watching the game and listening to the commentary, I'm hearing how the Dolphins could be moving on from Tannehill and their coaching staff. Then, I'm seeing the Jets score amongst rumors of Bowles about to get fired as well. All three teams in the AFC East have been trying to put the pieces together during the Cheatriots Dynasty and seem to be turning over coaches around the same time. As this game ended, you could still question Darnold vs Allen, but we are clearly the team of the three with the brighter future, clear path of what needs to be fixed, solid coaching, lots of draft picks as well as 90+ mil to spend. Like I said in my intro, my expectations will be a lot higher next year by week 17, but the future is bright with optimism. Go Bills!
  3. If they do, it’s going to be a fun offseason of hearing about the guy we let get away I guess I’ll say the Saints because of Brees. I definitely don’t want the Pats. Chiefs would be a Mahomes love-fest even more here. Texans are nothing special to me. ***** the cowboys. I’m good with the Rams too, although their owner is a tool
  4. Let me take a shot at this. You woke up this morning either alone or next to a girl you are pretty sure is cheating on you. As you try to guess the neighbors password to their WiFi, you look through the want ads in the newspaper for any job where you hope they won’t “disrepect” you, like they did at McDonalds last time. After a few hours of failure, mixed in with some crying while masterbating, you decided that it was time to take a dump on a guy on the day he’s retiring. Could it wait a few days? Sure. But could your dad wait to run out on your family? Could your mom wait any longer to tell you how much of a disappointment you are? No. So why should you? The point is, anyone is capable of being a dick. Why you need to do it today, I have no idea. Everyone is flawed. But maybe not pick the day the man’s being honored to talk about it.
  5. I’m better with taking Oliver with Kyle officially retiring. There just isn’t any offensive talent begging to be taken in the top half of round 1. There’s one TE, but he’s a 20-30 pick. WR’s have a different 1-5 ranking based upon the mock, and the Offensivr line talent is leveled off too. Not a good year to need offensive help
  6. #2 guys are getting paid like starters. It’s not like a few years back with guys playing for $5 mil. It’s a premium position with limited depth
  7. This is what scares me. After the deals WR’s got last year and the lack of options, dudes are going to get highly overpaid
  8. We need height at WR. Watching Allen throw up a ball to Foster was embarrassing.
  9. I’m glad he’s making the decision with a few days before the game. Gives the team a little time to do something for him and the fans on Sunday
  10. Damn it. Now I need to find a way to go to the game. That’s a hell of a drive, but damn it, he’s worth it. His reaction in the locker room after making the playoffs last year was beautiful. Hats off to you man. You were the true embodiment of being a Buffalo Bill.
  11. We are playing Canadian rules. No one told you?
  12. First off, let me just say how incredibly rare NFL talent is. If you think about the how many kids play in High School, then College, and how few are considered to be NFL ready, it's a truly rare breed. To think that there isn't ONE legitimate offensive star coming out of this draft out of how many Div 1 schools? It's crazy if you think about it. Free Agents WR - Chris Conley (finishing his rookie deal. Doesn't have huge stats, but has size and speed) WR - Kevin White (he's going to have to settle for a one year, prove it deal. Huge boom or bust) WR - Tyrell Williams (solid #2 out of San Diego who has the size and speed of a number 1. May not be a true number one, but would command enough attention to let Foster or Zay do their thing) TE - Jared Cook (#1 receiver on Oakland. 32 years old, but a true pass catcher. Played under a 2 year, 10 mil contract. Would be a huge boost in the interim) RT - Daryl Williams (From Carolina. What more is there to say?) C - Matt Paradis And here's where I lose all credibility. IF, and I only mean IF, you can get him a front loaded contract with a safe out-clause after 3 years.......... RB - Bell. Hear me out. He's still incredibly young, has good speed, and proven performance. I admit, he has red flags with the suspensions and how well is backup played in the same system. But the big thing to me is more about Josh Allen. Bell is a genuine threat out of the backfield as a pass catcher. He can be the check down player Allen needs. Also, we have 90 mil to spend and there really isn't a lot of players to spend it on. So if Bell wants his money, give it to him up front. Pay him a bunch in the first 3 years before he's 29 and then have it be more team friendly. It's not our money. Whatever money is left, let McDermott go crazy on defensive players. In the draft, we can still get the WR out of UB and offensive lineman depth. End result, imagine this lineup on the field QB - Allen RB - Bell FB - DiMarco WR - Williams WR - Conley WR - Zay WR - Foster TE - Cook LT - Dawkins LG - Teller C - Paradis RG - Draft RT - Williams To me, that's an offense that I would expect production from weekly. Allen would have weapons all over the field. Yes, it's a little Madden, but it's not crazy with the money we have to spend. Flame away
  13. Chris Conley. I don’t understand why I think he can be huge, but I would love to get him
  14. I think the answer is somewhere in the middle. The biggest issue is the lack of offensive talent via draft and free agency. There really aren’t any skill players this year that can change a team.
  15. And here we go. Almost made it through 3 pages. Well done you
  16. No. Their passing game just sucked.
  17. Has no one seen Unnecessary Roughness?
  18. Yesterday, I was thinking about finally committing to buying an Allen jersey. The curse of players I own jersey's of (they aren't on the team within 2 years of me buying one) seemed like something of the past as I felt optimistic about today's game. We were improving on offense. Our defense did well last game. Brady seems to be finally facing father time or is playing hurt. Either way, it looked like today would be a good game. Oh BBFS, you clever dog. If you're looking for a positive spin on today's game, please move on to the next thread now. 1 - Linebackers - The biggest fear I had going into today's game was how the loss of Milano would affect the game. Fortunately, the complete crap show all the linebackers put on today offset that quickly. Don't get me wrong, Thompson ***** the bed in spectacular fashion. I can't remember a time where I saw so many players run into blocks. It was almost like they were running scripted plays on how not to attack the hole. We were gashed to both sides of the line where the edge rushers were completely sealed off. And on the plays they got to the ball carrier, they couldn't tackle to save their lives. Yes, it was that bad. 2 - Defensive Line - These guys get the brunt of my anger today. They aren't rookies and they are very well paid. This was the focus of the offseason and they have no excuse for the pathetic performance today. If I told you that Brady was hurt/aging and couldn't pass the ball well, you all would piss yourself with excitement. But what do we do? We let them run all over us. They blew us up down the middle, pushed through holes, and overall embarrassed us. Murphy and Lawson were useless on the outside. When they did blitz, they were able to get pressure sometimes, but that was their only positive contribution. 3 - Wide Receivers - Was anyone else not surprised when Croom fumbled the ball? Between drops, lack of ball awareness, the WR's didn't do Allen any favors today and reminded us why we need a true, big bodied #1 guy. These guys alone probably left at least 10-14 points on the board today in a game where everyone decided to equally lay an egg. 4 - NOT A ***** THING'S been working for us. Like this goddamn suit doesn't work for me... and this stinking tie... and this goddamned shirt. IT DOESN'T WORK FOR ME. YOU KNOW HOW TO PLAY WINNING HARD-NOSED FOOTBALL? YOU PLAY FOOTBALL LIKE ED GENERRO PLAYED FOOTBALL. A guy who gave his life for this football team. He was a 140-pound halfback, and HE PLAYED LIKE A GODDAMN WILDMAN! NO! LIKE A GODDAMN RAMPAGING BEAST! And that's the way you got to do it! YOU GO OUT THERE! YOU TEAR THEIR F***ING HEADS OFF, AND YOU ***** DOWN THEIR NECKS! Let us pray 5 - Allen - Yup, he sucked too today. I was optimistic for him after the first drive, had his WR's not let him down so badly. On the next drive though, he was crap. There was pressure and this time he wasn't as elusive as before, but he was off the mark a lot more than he was on the mark today. The Pats dared him to beat him with his arm by loading the box and pressing his WR's a lot, and Allen could come to task. Some of that was on his WR's not getting separation and some is on Daboll for giving him better quick checks, but today was not great for him. Unlike our defensive however, he's still learning and was hurt by his surrounding cast a bit. Doesn't excuse the accuracy and INT's he threw though. That was on him. 6 - Special Teams - I can't. I just can't. Crossman needs to be left in New England. Today was a joke. I can't even write about why without throwing up. 7 - Frazier - You almost have to applaud the timing of articles this week talking about Frazier getting consideration for Head Coaching opportunities this week. Again, in a week where Brady isn't Brady, you give up how many rushing yards and to who? C'mon man. You got absolutely schooled today and it was a joke. If I told you Brady's stat line today, you'd assume we won or it was close. To squander this opportunity is pathetic. 8 - Daboll - Yup, you're in here too. You actually have some speed in Foster and McKenzie and you can't have then run underneath routes at all? You threw deep to Foster in the sun, but then didn't later as the game went on? The Pats stacked the box and had NO SAFETIES back on quite a few plays and we are tossing slant-out routes? Are you kidding me? I was really hoping to see some adjustments after the Pats did it a few times, but nope. You've done well recently Daboll, but today...not so much. 9 - McDermott - How does it feel to have Belicheat steal your lunch money and put you in a locker. You got outcoached all day today. Your players didn't help out from time to time, but you were still within a score after the first quarter, saw their entire game plan, and still got taken it to you. I'm sorry, but this game is as much on you as anyone. You were straight up out prepared, out executed, and did nothing about it in the game. This was easily your worst coaching job of the season and you had to do it against the Pats?! Thanks buddy. 10 - Pats Fans - Anyone else notice that the Pats fans all looked like Ivy League school fans? I'm talking suits, families that JC Penny would put on a catalog? I don't know why it bothered me so much, but the fans at the game looked like they could have easily been watching a croquet match. I can't wait until the empire falls and the stadium is empty. These are the weakest fans in the NFL and don't deserve their success. By the way, I waited a solid two hours to write this so I could calm down. How'd I do?
  19. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/6681/charles-clay Doesn’t say who’s reporting it. Healthy scratch for the Pats game is interesting.
  20. How do I set up an auto-reply for any thread started regarding the Patriots that says: ”Good. ***** them”
  21. Hey now, I can’t be held accountable to what I said over a month ago. This is the Internet.
  22. Love this. Showed enough to back up or start in spots if needed. Cap question. Does it all hit next year?
  23. This was reported in the first few weeks of the season. Surprised to see them bring this up again like it’s new
  24. Good. I hope they get blood all over them
  25. In case you weren’t sure who the true dumpster fire of the NFL was....
