What would you consider a successful draft?
CapeBreton replied to Bleedbuffaloblue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I will not complain about a single draft pick, we have crushed the last three drafts so we should all trust them. I just hope we don’t draft a late round QB, that seems like it would be a waste. -
I can’t see them handing the reins over to Jarret Stidham, Jordan Love might make sense for them at their draft slot.
-
Bills have met with him (FaceTime) so there is interest there. Austin Hall and Shaquille Quarterman are two other late LBs we’ve had contact with. Javelin Guidry - smallish CB but has some wheels, Bills had a FaceTime with him, 4.29 speed Some later WR I like are Gabriel Davis, Isaiah Hodgins, Hasise Dubois, Devin Duvernay. There’s so many good ones available.

Is Darrynton Evans Beane’s Draft Crush?
CapeBreton replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Grabbing him in the 4th round would be nice, he kind of reminds me of Matt Breida which I'd be glad to add to this team. -
Jamal Adams/Jets trade chatter starts back up
CapeBreton replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We need Adam Gase to stay in New York as long as possible. The guy is an absolute fraud. Got to assume he gets canned after next season though. -
This draft is going to be all over the place, looking forward to some surprises.
-
If this is true, Beane is a genius. But I guess we already knew that.
-
Higgins was a scary thought at 22 but I’d gladly take him at 54, he seems to be dropping in the rankings and Bills have done their homework on him. They also traded for Diggs the day after they went to his pro day so maybe they hate him too haha.
-
Hard to tell what is smokescreen but I think the injury and lack of pre-draft meetings could knock him down a peg (below Herbert).
-
This seems ridiculous, I don't trust any draft reports right now.

Chase Claypool- I know you want to talk about him
CapeBreton replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think he will be available in the 3rd for us, he is one of 58 prospects invited to attend the draft virtually so I'm thinking there is significant interest in him around the league. I wouldn't want him in the 2nd either, he shot so far up the rankings because of his combine but I don't think his game speed is represented by his 40 time - for example his 40 was better than Brandon Aiyuk's but Aiyuk looks so much faster on the field. He also didn't do much until his senior year which is concerning. -
Bucs apparently shopping OJ HOWARD
CapeBreton replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I don’t want anything to do with OJ Howard, he is just not very good at football. His hands are totally unreliable. -
Bills haven’t interviewed any kickers, wouldn’t count on this being the year we draft one.

Jay Glazer: I will break big, national news tomorrow
CapeBreton replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Always under sell, over deliver. What a disappointment. -
Which running back do you hope the Bills draft and why?
CapeBreton replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, that is a good point, it is quite rare. All I can think of is Patriots took Sony Michel round 1 in 2018 and then Damien Harris in round 3 last year, just before we took Dawson Knox hehe. The Rams took Darrell Henderson in round 3 last year and I could see them going RB early again this year. They’ve been heavily scouting RBs. Gotta just trust the Bills’ RB scouting after stealing Singletary last year, I have faith we’ll get an upgrade at RB2 and Yeldon will be riding the pine again. -
I feel like a lot of the O-line guys they are interviewing are available later in the draft - Robert Hunt, Cameron Clark, John Simpson, Prince Tega Wanogho. I could be wrong but I don’t think I’ve seen any of them mocked in round 2. Also, don’t expect any Tight Ends picked, it’s an awful draft for them and we doubled down last year on Knox/Sweeney. Bills have barely had any interviews for TE. My feeling is we go CB/S with our first pick, someone good could fall into our laps at 54, Kyle Dugger anyone? I’d rather RB myself but just don’t think that happens in RD 2.
-
Thanks @DCOrange Based on our visits and roster, I think we can rule out any TE's getting picked by us. It's a terrible class and Beane was smart to draft two last year. The WR visits are probably skewed by a lot of 1st round research prior to the Diggs trade but I still think we grab one later on, there will be plenty of WR talent available later in the draft.

Browns to introduce new uniforms at 12:00 pm
CapeBreton replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I liked the orange pants and brown jersey combo they had, these new ones just look really plain. Not much to work with when your symbol is an orange helmet though. -
I like Carlos Hyde as a backup plan if they don't get the RB they want in the draft. But how much will he cost? Latavius Murray got 4 years for 14M last off season to backup Kamara.

CapeBreton replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like the idea of having a capable backup RB, look at the Saints last year, Kamara got hurt and Latavius Murray stepped up and they didn't miss a beat. Again, I do think Yeldon is decent but am not convinced that McBean feel that way considering how he was utilized last year.
