USA Todays Luke Easterling Nailed 3 of our picks in Mock
CapeBreton replied to ehfeuh57's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Moss in the third was one of the more obvious choices in mock drafts for the Bills if you hadn’t taken an RB at 54. I doubt there were any mocks with us picking Epenesa at 54. I had picked him in mock drafts at 22 when we still had that pick. -
Report: Bills we’re taking Dugger at 54 if he was there
CapeBreton replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they were so dead set on Dugger at 54, why wouldn’t they have drafted Jeremy Chinn who was still there at our pick? Similar players except Chinn is much younger. I don’t buy it. -
Cover1 Breakdown of AJ Epenesa
CapeBreton replied to JESSEFEFFER's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Epenesa is listed at 275 and Oliver is around 290. Epenesa actually had the highest body fat % of any DE at the combine so it will be interesting to see what the plan is at the gym for him. -
Tyler Bass, kicker, might be Bills' best pick
CapeBreton replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There won't be any fans this year so that will takes some pressure off! -
Yeah, hoping Bass has a really good offseason too, hopefully it will be an easy decision to keep him. I’m worried it’s going to be a Jake Elliott situation when Cincy drafted him. He didn’t win the job from Randy Bullock after getting drafted in the fifth round and then Philly grabbed him from Cincy’s practice squad and he’s been a great kicker for them. Same goes for Carolina losing Harrison Butker who didn’t beat out Graham Gano.

Rd 5, Pick 167: QB Jake Fromm, Georgia
CapeBreton replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
are these numbers accurate? I have so many questions. Lamar Jackson’s velocity was quite awful at 49 mph. I’m also surprised by Jared Goff at 58, I never thought he had much velocity on his throws. -
Post-Draft Roster Predictions
CapeBreton replied to ComradeKayAdams's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Patrick DiMarco will be on the team next year, he’s valuable in special teams so that basically guarantees him a spot. I’m sure we can get away with having Gilliam on our practice squad for a year and then have him take over in 2021 when DiMarco’s contract expires. -
Breakdown of McBeane's Team Building Tendencies (So Far)
CapeBreton replied to JGMcD2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was going to say this as well, Beane clearly didn’t care one bit about combine numbers this year. None of the picks stand out from a testing perspective, it’s all about onfield production. Even Jake Fromm had an awful combine (both in numbers and drills) but Beane identified that he is a winner with other intangibles. -

I would have liked to draft Derrek Tuszka with our last pick but other than that, no complaints. -

I do not like Barkley so not the worst pick if he’ll be our backup. -

So glad the Jets picked James Morgan, we showed interest in him but I think it would have been a wasted pick for us. -

I don’t think a WR will go before our next pick, everyone has either drafted one already or is set there (Atlanta). Detroit could grab one though. -

There was some buzz that he would fall in the draft because of injury concerns, not sure what the injury is though. -
RD 3, Pick 86: RB Zach Moss, University of Utah
CapeBreton replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Was thinking Kareem Hunt was a good comparison to Moss and would you look at that, Kansas City also drafted Hunt with the 86th pick. Maybe it means nothing, or maybe it means everything. -

Was watching his tape before the draft and I was feeling bad for some of the guys he ran over, very physical back!
