  1. Just look at his college tape. The guy is elite and will be an excellent WR. Way better skill set than Gabe. The Bills won't even give him a sniff because of his character flaws. Also, I highly doubt the Lions would trade him for his violation. This convo is nice but it's mute. 100% agree here. I'd be doing cartwheels if the Bills landed him with a second day pick. It would be the steal of the draft.
  2. It remains to be seen if McD will preform better or worse. Certainly, he has more on his plate. What's clear is that he will be front and center. He will have no scapegoats or excuses. Accountability should be front and center. I like that McD is taking over the D. I believe this puts him in the put up or shut up category. It's exactly what the Bills need to evaluate if McD can move the needle and lead this team to a Super Bowl.
  3. He wasn't fine in 13 seconds nor in the playoff game vs Cinci. Two golden opportunities squandered resulting in disappointing playoff losses. At some point, I suppose fans might start looking at Coach McD in a different light. Thus far, he's been barely challenged for his mistakes by the fans and media. Buffalo certainly isn't New York, Philly, or LA. Six years and counting in which Beane had largely failed to do so.
  4. I'll have to look into sling tv.
  5. Great info here. I can confirm that this is true. My brother had a so so internet provider with decent speed. He was getting big time lags on Thursday night football. He switched providers and had better speed. Of course, it comes with a bigger price.
  6. That doesn't seem like a deal to me. I'm going to miss the days of getting the ticket for free or $99. To boot, YouTube tv prices are going up. The sports package I like is around $72 a month. I suspect prices with continue to go up. Right now, I still have DTV with discounts applied. Still paying more than $72 a month. Decisions decisions. I hate changing over as I'm an old dinasour. Maybe my kids can find a nice bootleg way to watch the games with a VPN. Not my style but I wanna watch my Bills games. However, I suspect the Bills with have quite a few nationally televised games too.
  7. It's all good Thurman. I like the banter back and forth with you. I appreciate your intelligence and challenging my mindset.
  8. Of course there are steps along the way. However, you are kidding yourself if you think players can just turn it on game time. Practice and preparation isn't game time, speed, pressure, or contact. Von can ride the bike, rehab, do wind sprints, participate in practice, etc.. Then suddenly appear in a game and play lights out. I'm not sure what world your living in. Sports don't work that way. Maybe he Will be a first...
  9. You get in game shape by playing. It's really that simple Thurman.
  10. That's called playing scared. Players need to play and be in game shape. Maybe he shouldn't even practice because he might get injuried. You do realize his injury was a non contact injury. Pretty much a fluke. I guess you are OK paying a guy 20MIL to be on a pitch count. Somehow that seems strange to me.
  11. Thank you. Very well said. Colorado Bills definitely twisted what was said. Not surprising as anything considered negative usually gets resistance. I think you set the record straight here. 👍
  12. I just merely pointed out the young Bills D line sucked vs Cinci. Whatever Von taught them or didn't teach them didn't seem to pay off. Funny how other are willing to give Vin such credit but yet refuse to look the other way as well. If Von was truly invested in the team he would have been present during the playoffs. A vocal leader on the sidelines. I remember saying to myself where is Von? He seemingly disappeared? Maybe I'm wrong here? Perhaps, he couldn't stand or it was against medical advice. Now fast forward to the present and he's singing a praise the Bills culture. Thank you. That's the impression I'm getting too.
  13. As time passes, I tend to think getting Von will be a mistake. He's old and has a lot of mileage on him. Of course, he's elite when he plays. However, he hardly plays. Do you really want to invest in a guy that's on a pitch count? However, I do like the all in attitude. Too bad, that wasn't the case for the offense. An AJ Brown , CMC, or Tyreke would have looked good in a Bills uniform. As far as Von teaching the young guys. Just look at the Cinci game and ask yourself how did the young guys do. They sucked to be blunt. Von was no where to be found after he was injuried. Not on the sidelines or in the locker room. Some leadership there...I'm not buying what he's selling.
  14. I think a better question is why hasn't the Oline been upgraded to at least being solid? For the past 5 years the Oline has always been an issue. I'd agrue it's been a weakness more than anything. Allen has every right to pound the table for better protection and run blocking. It's the major issue that has really kept the team from advancing. Perhaps that's what Florio is getting at in a round about way.
  15. I don't like any of these picks.
  16. I'll be pissed if the Bills pick him at 27.
  17. Agree but I am not crazy about Maxi or Addison. I'd still be very open to trading back with them on the board at pick 27.
  18. I can live with the Hyatt pick. Not overly excited about it either. Not sure how polished he is? Seems like a one trick pony deep threat. He doesn't feel like a 1st round pick to me.
  19. I will just my TV If the Bills draft Gibbs. Make no sense whatsoever if you are trying to win a Super Bowl in the next couple of years.
  20. I'd run to the podium if Wright is there at 27.
  21. Me too and often got it free or at a reduced rate. Still have DTV. With the discounts it's still a bit higher than YouTube TV. I must say their prices aren't cheap anymore. I might look into bootlegging the games.
  22. The Bills organization is very good but they just seem to fall short come playoff time. These next few years should really tell us a lot.
  23. That's just one aspect and consequence of the negotiation process. I believe you are selling what agents do woefully short. Agents do this kind of work daily, are very adapt in the process, and often can get even more than a player expects. Lamar representing himself is a very very very poor move. His decision is really mind boggling. Is he really too cheap to pay a 1 to 3 percent fee to an agent? That's peanuts. Does he really think he can be a better negotiator than a skilled experienced agent? Come on now! The brunt of the blame shifts to Lamar. He put himself in this position and I feel no empathy for him. I believe a deal would have likely been made if he hired a skilled agent. A skilled agent could have had a chance to tell Lamar his demands aren't realistic. Instead, he has his mom patting him on the back.
  24. I'm more thinking about this season and going forward. The Bills really need Von to be dynamic and dangerous. We saw how Tre came back and wasn't nearly as effective. Not sure that's an accurate measuring stick but it sure brings up concerns. Without Miller, the Bills passing attacked couldn't get it done. What kind of Von do the Bills get this upcoming season? It's not like he's 24. Not sure it's been mentioned. I couldn't help but think where was Von after his injury? He was supposedly the leader of the defense and a teacher to the younger players. He seemingly disappeared. Out of sight out of mind. Almost as if he checked out. Not on the sidelines not anywhere. That doesn't illustrate leadership to me. I'm pretty sure he was able to at least be a supportive leader on the sidelines. If anyone has any insight I'd like to hear it. Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree? Just seems bothersome to me.
  25. Not sure this is entirely accurate. It takes two to negotiate. Lamar is representing himself and that seems extremely problematic. It's just not the way to get a deal done. For Fing sake hire an agent and pay him their 1 to 3 percent. By many reports his asking price has been almost unreasonable. The Ravens have publicly always backed keeping Lamar. Behind the scenes who really knows the sticking points and truth of the matter. With that said, I believe Lamar shoulders much of the responsibility that a deal hasn't gotten done.
