Makes me wonder how you feel about Von Miller.
-
I'm pretty sure the Ravens were the only team offering that much. OBJ is getting paid. I didn't think OBJ would get that much being he's older and coming off a major injury.

Good breakdown. I'm not really in love with any of the WRs in this draft. None of them seem to be true number one Wrs. I'm not crazy about moving up for a WR in this class. However, every year there seems to be Wrs that outperform their expectations. That's likely the case this year too. Johnston could definelty fall into this category.

Cover 1 Just put out a new Mock Draft, Edge round 1.

Epenesa stinks. How many years of stinkness do you need to figure it out. -
No doubt there will be a lot of dynamics and scenarios in play when the Bills are on the clock. That's what makes the draft so exciting and intriguing. So many unknown variables. Trades, who's available, who drops, etc... Sorry, I stand corrected.

The more time passes the more I'm thinking Campbell is the pick at 27. Of course, many things can change. Just hoping Beane can pull off a little trade back, get another pick, and still get Campbell. Pretty risky for sure. By most though Campbell isn't really a 27th pick but Beane still might pick him of he's their guy. O don't fault that strategy either.

Thurman playing the woulda, shoulda, coulda here. Not sure what game you watched? The Bills defense was horrible! They could not stop the Bengals early or when it counted. They did whatever they wanted to do. They shredded the Bills defense. In real time, I remember saying to my son the Bills defense sucks. No doubt the offense equally sucked but to say the defense wasn't horrible is disingenuous in my eyes. The Bengals were up by so much that they decided to run the ball with great results. They could have probably scored 40 or 50 points. Injuries always play a part in football. Clearly, the Bills Injuries on defense hurt. However, good to great teams have to overcome injuries. Players have to step up, execute, and perform at a higher level. Coaches have to have solid game plans. None of that happened. That's a total failure from the players, coaches, and organization. Go back and look at the majority of the posters prior to the Cinci playoff game. 95% of them were about how the Bills were going to beat the Bengals. Many were not overly concerned about the Bills defensive injuries. The talk was how the Bills pass rush would beat the injury riddled Bengal Oline and how the Bengal run game wasn't any good. I don't remember you discussing how the Bills defensive injuries were going to be difficult to overcome? I don't remember many posters echoing your theme here. Time after time and year after year the Bills have continued to disappoint in the playoffs. At some point, Bills fans have to really start thinking can this team, coaches, and organization get over the hump? It amazes me how fans continually make excuses for the Bills playoff failures. You can decide where your mindset fits. Wondering what excuses people will use next year? Groundhog day...

I hear you. Personally, I don't think any WR in this draft is worth trading up for. All of them have some concerns and question marks. I just don't see a logical path to trading up for a WR in this draft. Maybe I'm wrong. As for the Arizona comments in your post. I don't think Arizona is really going to be threatened or intimidated by the Bills moves or lack of. That's a huge stretch at best. Dhop has some value and they certainly will be able to move him at some point. The reporting is Arizona is asking too much. I wouldn't be surprised if KC ends up getting him.

I disagree. Beane has always talked up Edmunds and he let him walk. We fans have no idea what Beane and the Bills plan is for Oliver. Of course, it's conjecture because there is no concrete evidence. The poster you are referring to certainly has legitimate points. Of course, you are welcome to disagree. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Oliver is moved on draft day.

Oliver gets traded and the Bills get Dhop. That's what I'm hoping for.

Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?

If KC lands Dhop the chances of KC repeating will go up. Last thing I want to see happen. -
Stats really don't give an accurate picture here. Allen alone can make offensive team stats look good. That's the case here. Allen gets 90% of the credit and Dorsey held him back from achieving more. Any football person and casual fan could see that Dorsey was learning on the job. Now, we can only hope that the game has slowed and his mind is sharper and more progressive this year. He needs to make a big jump.

I think Campbell is the best LB in the draft. He'd be a good fit in the Bills D. Ideally, the Bills move down a tad and pick up Campbell with extra picks added.

The QB is the leader of the team. When the team loses most often the QB receives warranted and unwarranted criticism. -

I agree. Unfortunately, that's the football world we live in. Regular season stats are greatly diminshed. It's more about winning playoff games, making the Super Bowl and winning it all. That's really the new measuring stick. Allen although not his fault has fallen short. Thus, he has to take a back seat to those who accomplish what he cannot. The other point is the failure of Beane and company to support Allen via weapons and protection. You have rightly pointed this out. -

I think your take is more than fair. No doubt, I'm pleased that the Bills have had great regular seasons, playoff appearances, and playoff wins. Certainly, way way way better than the decades of failure Bills fans endured and experienced. Coach McD and GM Beane absolutely deserve accolades for the above mentioned success. They built a winning culture and team. One can justifiably ask why aren't you happy or content. Trust the processs, stay the course, and makes some needed tweaks. Certainly this is a viable mindset. However, let's take a deeper dive. The Bills have without dispute one of the best QBs in the league. Imho, him alone basically gets you in the playoff picture alone. You get my point. With that said, how successful has this regime really been the last few years? I'd argue that they have fallen short. Just look at the past reactions of Allen and Diggs. At this point in Allen's career the Bills team needs to do more. Imho, a Super Bowl appearance at the least is the minimum achievement that satisfies my thrist. Perhaps that's unreasonable and convoluted? In recent years, it's become evident in my eyes that the Bills coaching staff isn't good enough. It's solid and not terrible. However, come playoff time it becomes clear that the Bills coaching is outclassed and out maneuvered. At some point, the Bills coaching and organization have to achieve more. Does that mean stay the course ot make competent changes? No easy decision for sure. -

Really well written post. Your post was elaborate, concise, reasonable, and factual. I couldn't say it any better than you did. It's refreshing to get a grounded and realistic view. Often, I found that lacking here. I get its a Bills board; but a little reality goes a long way even if it's in a negative light. I know Josh pounded the table for Dorsey. It was a familiarity and a "comfort zone" move to have him move up to OC. In retrospect, I wonder if this was the correct move? Why do I say that? The Bills were and are in win it all move. They were overwhelming favorites to represent the AFC and win the Super Bowl. Yet, they chose to go with a rookie OC which seems counter intuitive to a "all in" move. This decision proved to be detrimental to the Bills chances. It become clearer and clearer as the season progressed. In the playoffs, there was no doubt Dorsey was in over his head. He needs to dramatically improve if the Bills want to hoist the Lombardi trophy. -

It's night and day between the two. Please stop. Dorsey was clearly learning on the job. The offense had no identity. Dorsey was unable to call complimentary plays. No play set up a future play. It was basically one play call at a time. Often, he abondamed the running game without just cause. Look how the RBs were utilized in the passing game. Zero, nada, goose eggs for the most part. McKenzie's skill set never in play. The list goes on and on. Dorsey hurt the Bills chances rather then helping them. The offensive stats look good because Allen is that good. Not because of innovative and creative Dorsey schemes and plays. Come playoff time the Bills offense was predictable. Same game plan we've seen in years. Blitz and pressure Allen and double Diggs. Yet, Buffalo had little answers once again. At the very least, they didn't have enough answers. On a positive not, Dorsey has a year under his belt and still had Allen. Frustrating to see wasted opportunities due to weak coachibg, game plans, and poor in game adjustments. At least Fraizer is gone. Soon we will see what McD can do with this D. Exciting for me because this puts McD front and center. It will hopefully accelerate his demise if he continues to come up short. If not, he will and should receive much praise. -

Refer to the Cinci game where DC Lou Anarumo took Dorsey to the woodshed. Completely outclassed. In fact, Dorsey's game plan or lack of almost cost the Bills the game vs Miami. Crawl out from under your rock. -
