  1. I think the fact that Kelly called many of his own plays while in the no-huddle adds some points to his score as well. How many of today's QBs can or do call their own plays? Shows what a field general he was.
  2. I agree. Desperate times called for desperate measures. The Lions were desperate to keep up with the Bills. They took a lot of chances and won some of them. Odds are, most teams can't keep that up and there will be consequences, ala the onside kick which almost resulted in a TD.
  3. My wife works remotely from western NY for a small hospital in Boone, NC that was gobbled up by UNC last year. I guess that makes her and Bellichick co-workers. Should be a fun Christmas party.
  4. McDermott ranks #16 all-time in winning percentage during the regular season. That's ahead of people like Andy Reid and Bill Belichick. In playoff winning percentage, he ranks #62. (Marvy Levy ranks #33, Belichick is #12, and Andy Reid is #27) Once he makes it to a few Super Bowls, this ranking will go up! https://www.pro-football-reference.com/coaches/
  5. I thought that's why that bone is called the humorous! 😏
  6. If Reid Ferguson doesn't make it this year, it's rigged!
  7. I just want Coach Harbaugh to lose!
  8. I was at that game! One the final play, Tony Greene intercepted a KC pass two yards deep in the end zone and ran it back for a 102 yard touchdown!
  9. I am always in awe at how you assemble facts and details. You are very detail oriented and I thank you for it. 🍺
  10. Cook's TD run was incredible. He ran through 4 Chiefs to get in the endzone.
  11. You know, now that you mentioned it, I seem to enjoy the Chiefs being 9- 1 now, more than the Bills being 9-2. 🤔
  12. Is it okay if I feel a little sad because this win means some former Dolphins get to celebrate?
  13. Just curious.... did any of them work out for the Bills?
  14. Dion Dawkin's kid hacked into the Bills' X account again.
  15. I watched the game on TV at a bar with my brother who now lives in Florida. First time we have watched a Bills game together in over 40 years. Before the kick, he was like, "What are they doing?? Punt the ball! If he misses, Miami has the ball and only needs a few yards to kick their own game-winning FG!" I was like, "Do you think having to kick it 61 yards will improve his accuarcy?" I was right. He was wrong. What an idiot. It'll be 40 more years before I sit down to watch a game with him again! 😁
  16. Our players just need better nicknames. How about "Butter" Cook, "Maker" Shakir, "Green" Oliver, or "Around the" Benford?
  17. I just read about this today" "Researchers have identified a potential new sign of concussion in athletes, particularly football players, that can easily be spotted on the field, indicating the need for immediate removal from the game and evaluation for potential traumatic brain injury (TBI). Spontaneous Headshake After a Kinematic Event (SHAAKE) refers to the rapid, back-and-forth head movement athletes exhibit following a blow to the head. This voluntary motion typically occurs within seconds to minutes after impact and is a familiar response in athletes. In a recent survey, 7 out of 10 adult athletes recalled making this movement after a collision, and three out of four times they attributed this back-and-forth head movement to a concussion. The association was strongest among football players, who reported that over 90% of SHAAKE episodes were associated with a concussion. The results were published online on October 23 in Diagnostics." I thought this was interesting. I will be watching for it in future games. Now, granted, this is only to assist in diagnosing a concussion. It does not address when to clear someone to play football again, if ever.
  18. Absolutely. If you don't harass the QB, it's just a 50/50 ball in the end zone. What coach would want those odds when defending?
  19. Steve Young, anyone?
  20. I forgot to put my Bills flag up until half time. Smooth sailing after that...
  21. Best joke of the thread! 😄 Nailed it!!
  22. Impersonating a Pass Rusher? 😉
  23. I don't mean this as a slam on Morris or as a joke, but could the drugs play a part? I would imagine playing while on cocaine can make one jittery, quick, and elusive. I've often wondered...
  24. I'll take a contrary position. I think fumbles can be an exciting part of football. Whether it is advanced by the offense or recovered and returned by the defense, it is a big play. I like big plays. The Holy Roller play was a bit excessive, but it was a big play at the time and is still talked about decades later.
  25. I personally was surprised that Tua lowered his head and went head first into the defender, especially given his concussion history. He had already made the first down. Seemed like an unnecessary risk.
